I had questions with my loans and Josh Sanchez helped me out last week and I was pleasantly suprised at the close attention to detail and professionalism he presented me with. I have had trouble with bankers in the past- feeling like My needs had not been met but I will be returning to this location from my positive experience.

I have been banking with the Sebastopol Branch for years for my business and personal account. I have always been taken care of by their personnel and management. My accounts had gotten compromised by an wifi atm and was badly hacked. Their team worked with me to make sure my accounts were all closed and set up new ones quickly to minimize the loss. In addition all of the losses were covered including associated fees. They have been very helpful processing wire transfers and setting me up with the best business credit cards possible. Each time I visit I find the staff to always be friendly and prompt in processing my transactions. When I require additional services their specialized team members have been very effective. Its appreciated to have a staff that recognizes their customers and value relationships.

Wells Fargo a big bank with a well deserved reputation for cheating its customers and breaking the law. We need to have a relationship with a bank and some of us didn't pick the bank we have one or more accounts with. Not that long ago we had World Savings, Wachovia Wamu etc all folded into Wells and here we are. I have subsequently opened accounts with local banks, credit unions and completely digital banks (no brick and mortar) I still think I want a relationship with a bank you know where you walk in and they address you like a customer. The local bank has slow tech and the ATM doesn't count money correctly each and every time. The Credit Union is better but it's far away too far for walk-in service. The digital bank is brick and mortarless ...And so I find myself at Wells looking for that helpful friendly neighborhood service, sigh. When you use an Wells ATM the machine lets you view balances, transfer funds, make deposits and withdrawals all via your Bank ATM/Visa/MasterCard and get this even if you don't have a Wells account! You can withdraw money without a valid photo ID! Go inside wait in line for a teller or banker behind a desk and you will be asked to use your ATM card you will then be asked for a valid photo ID and they may ask a bank manger to sign before they services you. You may have spoken to them for years they may be so generous as to remember your name but still they aren't empowered to treat you as a trusted customer like the ATM treats non Wells Fargo account holders. They are empowered to sell you more services and products but they aren't empowered to give you real customer service. For example try and change your Wells ATM card to a lower daily withdrawal or charge limit, they can't. They can't call and make so they can only give you an 800 Number you can call. :( This particular Wells is full of clean well dressed sweet faces with plenty of pleasant voices but it sure isn't what banking use to be. I find myself wishing Wells was more like it use to be even just 5 years ago but expect it is headed the other direction. Five years out what will customer service at Wells look like?

I am giving two stars to the excellent customer service and - 0 for Wells Fargo's handling of my accounts. Sleeezy Wells Fargo opened extra accounts, charge me the highest service fees for bounced checks, and opened a line of credit I never asked for. They tried to penalize me for not using the line of credit by charging me $100. I had to dispute, and then I had to call and call to get it shut down. THEN they gave bonuses to the people at the top who were implicated in these high pressure and illegal tactics. I took my chunk of saving and checking out of the bank and haven't looked back.

So I haven't had any problems with these folks so far. Am leaving a positive 5-star review to counter the 1-star review and because people who are upset are more motivated to leave reviews in the first place. These guys have helped me out on multiple occasions, so the 5-stars are also genuine.

I've twice had a multi-day hold on checks that I've deposited (regardless of business hours and holidays). After calling the bank, a representative answers the phone (No automated systems!) and were able to direct me to someone who was able to help me. The Service Manager Steven is awesome. So glad I switched from B of A to Wells. Great customer service.
