I made an appointment over a week ago to speak with a consultant. I left work early to make it there on time after receiving several emails confirming my appointment. The woman who was set to help me would not look me in the eye and spoke to me only through her colleague. It was bizarre. They were both annoyed that they had to deal with me and I felt humiliated by how I was treated. I specifically made an appointment online, giving a heads up for the reason for my visit and I was looking forward to speaking with someone in person and not just calling a number as my situation is more personalized than that. I shouldn't even have to explain that though. Isn't this part of the job? I will never set foot in an Umpqua Bank again. These women had nothing going on at work and chose to dismiss me.

I have been a loyal Umpqua Bank customer since they took over my previous bank at the same location. It was the 4th or 5th buy-out since I opened my account in 1990. Umpqua kept most of the staff, with whom I had a very comfortable relationship. Since then, they have been picking off staff, or they have fled. There is one person remaining. New 'officers' come and go at a dizzying rate. I have never seen the same people twice, in the past 5 years. They advertise their excellent customer service, but the truth is, it is non-existant. I have been stuck in a tape loop ALL DAY. I have left several messages, and NO-One has called me back.Claudia, the only real customer service person is great. Except for her--THEY SUCK.

I recently had an excellent experience here opening a home equity line of credit. Manager Michael Johnson was my contact. The process was incredibly quick and simple. One of the best experiences I've ever had with a bank. I had accounts with Umpqua previously so I trusted them, but they went above and beyond.

Every time I go the the place is closed which would be alright if the ATM worked... For the 2 years I've been at this bank I haven't had a problem until a few months ago when I went to deposit cash and the cash slot was not working. I come back a few days later the cash slot is working and not the check depositer. Okay... Really?! This week I've gone every day needing to deposit a check, and both the check and cash slot is not working. Starting to get angry. Kinda need to deposit money so I can use my card. Can't pay for a lot of things using a check can I???

Krista Blickman was absolutely the rudest teller I have ever experienced. She wanted to charge me a $6 check cashing fee for a Umpqua check. A fee I have never had to pay before. She told me to drive to where I didn't get charged. Which was 30 miles away! When I asked for the manager she said he left early. She was short. smug and didn't care if she was rude. Umpqua, train your tellers what customer service means! The check was good also by the way. Just another example of bad service inconveniencing what could have been a future customer. My client who wrote me the check is closing their account based on how her client (me) was treated.

Worse bank ever. Worst customer service ever. Never answer the customer service phone. I did have great experience with the Sebastopol branch but the corporate offices are absolutely atrocious. I lost my cards in the bank branch in Windsor tell me to keep my I can't open and bleeding to 12 bounce checks and over $158 in fees I had to pay other people.

Great bank, convenient and very personalized service. I especially appreciate Carly. She knows who we are, unlike most banks who treat you like a number. So glad to have this bank in our community!

Just an update - I was contacted by Vicky's supervisor and my issue was resolved. Vicky had told her I never called over and she thought I was a fraudulant customer. I shared the call log and info with her supervisor. The supervisor had to call over and make Vicky fix the error with my account. I am extremely happy with Umpqua Bank's response but my review of Vicky's branch remains the same.

A great little bank! Personalized service at its best. It is pleasant to go to a bank were most employees address me by name. The bank itself has an open feel to it. They always have great coffee (their own blend)! Lastly, on Friday's, they offer complimentery cookies and sometimes, they offer cupcakes. (Sometimes I just stop by on Friday just to get a free sweet)! That being said, I am a solid Umpqua Bank customer.

Our Church and a small non profit that I personally help with use the Umpqua Bank in Sebastopol. We have used them for several years for Church and more recently for the non profit. Our experience to date has been entirely positive. Their staff are friendly and helpful, both in person and on the telephone. I cannot speak to others experience, but would categorize ours as excellent.

This bank is full of evil people. The one who runs it is Vicki Johnston. She is the definition of a witch. She's a freak show of nature, and a complete eye shore. She ruins most people's financial well being which leads to family's having their money lost. I beg of you all to not trust this bank and the people in the bank and ESPECIALLY don't trust Vicki's cynical ways of handling your money and potentially your future. This review is meant for the bank and for the staff who control it.
