The space is decorated with the owner’s own artwork, adding a creative and personal touch to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The wines are the main attraction, with some of the finest Pinot Noir in Northern California. Their Zinfandels are particularly celebrated, described as bold yet balanced, rich in character, and a best-kept secret. The Chardonnay, Rosé, Meritage, and fun cans of sparkling are also all delicious. The tasting is educational and thoughtfully guided, often described as a highlight of a visit to wine country. Staff are noted for being incredible, funny, knowledgeable, generous, and informative, enhancing the experience with their deep regional and viticultural knowledge. Great experience for us. We were in the area mid week and trying to find a winery to check out and happened to get lucky finding Alex and Square Peg. This is an excellent winery. If you are looking for a locals secret gem this is definitely it! You can’t go wrong…the Rose’ , Char, Pinot, Zin, Meritage and fun cans of sparkling are all delicious.
