My wife stopped in the store yesterday to pick up formula for our baby. When she asked for assistance, a woman working in the checkout lane in front of the baby aisle rudely and aggressively told her to "go push the button!" next to the formula case. As this employee should know, the button next to the formula case is no longer there. Instead of apologizing for her own ignorance, she instead called over a man to help and when he asked who needed help, the woman motioned to my wife and screamed "Her! With the ATTITUDE!" The only "attitude" my wife conveyed to the employee was to simply ask where the button she referenced actually was. (Again, it doesn't exist anymore). So not only does this employee not know the basic functions of her own store, she thinks it's wise to deride a customer, yelling at a new mom trying to buy food for her child, in front of other shoppers. Our family has roots in Sebastopol going back over 80 years and we have patronized this store more times than can ever be counted. Rest assured this was the last time they'll ever see a dollar from us.

Safeway is great for National products and brands like we use for laundry soap, toilet paper, can goods, & imported pastas. The availability the prices, the hours of operation, and the parking lot all make it easier and a great value for those items. We tend to go to smaller stores for meats cheeses, breads, and produce. However my local butcher at a smaller store got my order wrong twice recently and I decided to head over to Safeway. My goodness what a great experience. The customer service was beyond what I had hoped for quality of the meat was exceptional. Going to use this fellow on he regular he and the team at this Safeway really impressed me

I have been shopping at this store for 28 years. In the last few years it has really declined. Recently I was shopping for a dinner a party and had a full cart. When I wnt to the front there were five people with full carts and no checkers other the 15 item or less lane. I could not use the self service because I had wine and liquor. I went to the customer service desk and asked why no checkers and she said they were probably on break. I asked when they would be back and all she said was " probably soon". One guy finally showed up and was very surly. I don't know what is going on at this store but several times the checker and the bag person have talk about how much they hate working at this store right in front of me! I notice a lot of the employees I use to deal with are gone. Also produce quality has declined a lot. Too bad - use to be a good store.

ROTTEN MOLDY GROCERIES!!! Warning the fridges at this store have mold all over open the door to cheese, eggs, any type fridge, meat section and it smells like mold. You can visibly see the mold. I am reporting this to the state.Store 933 Dir Maggie Yeager get your store in order. Hopefully it gets shut down until you get FRIDGES because isn't the point of groceries to be refrigerated safely!cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CEH…

My shopping cart full of groceries locked up in the middle of the parking lot without warning. Asst. manager says they're working on it and points to small sign on entry with smaller type warning against using a cart with a specific type of wheel. I asked why not set aside the bad carts until the system's range is improved, or else paint a yellow line that shows the limits of the bad carts. No response.

Got a birthday cake for my son and I keep trying to give the bakery business. Worst cake ever. All I tasted was the sugar. I got a chocolate cake. No chocolate flavor. Just way over sweet. Was actually bad. Had to dump in the garbage. I guess I need to go back to our bakery. I expect more and am always disappointed. I'm not a picky person but Safeway please step up your game. Use better ingredients and less sugar. Too too too sweet. All you taste is the sugar.

Customer service at check out is usually stressful. The checkers and bag assistants ignore the customer while the carry on a typically loud personal conversation. This happens nearly every time I go to this Safeway. Also, I asked an employee who was re-shelving items where something was and they told me they didn't know and walked away. I once asked a checker at check out how to use their digital coupon system and he said (rudely) "I don't know" and told me to ask someone else. I dread every time I go to this particular Safeway because it's not a nice place to be.

This Safeway is clean, lines are short, well stocked, don't have to check the expiration dates, overall it's a great store.

Was looking to purchase an item that is 'in stock' at this location according to the Safeway website. An employee reached out to help me but did not know the answer so he asked the 'boss' of store. The said 'boss' had no idea if they carried the item. Didn't bother to stop what he was doing to even attempt to help me and instead saw a different employee and started to make conversation. Take your business elsewhere.

Since covid began, I have heard soooo many reports about Safeway not monitoring mask wearing. I do use the Safeway pharmacy (they will always get 5 stars-they are the best pharmacy in Seb).... Today I go in to pick up a present. It wasn't ready so I did a tiny shop and used self checkout-no problem. Then I go to the Starbucks in there. Two woman jumped right in front of me-their masks pulled down. The very young, new cashier said nothing. So I just took care of me and stood a decent distance. Then a homeless guy comes up behind me-zero mask. A manager acting woman approached and gave a mask. She walked quickly away-I called out to her. She ignored me-no way could she not have heard me. Next thing I knew....there were all these people at the Starbucks-everyone with their masks pulled all the way down. I'm immunocomprimised-one more thing will kill me. Thawed definitely are breakthru cases with vaccinated people-especially for people with my diseases. So finally I'm done there and go stand in line in the pharmacy-a exact repeat of Starbucks experience. Woman in front of me-her mask pulled all the way down. So I again stood 10' back. She wanted to engage-I simply explained I'm immunocomprimised (no offense)....she said she was a nurse, blah blah. Whatever-I don't care I just want out. Then a mature man comes up behind me-mask pulled down. Really???? So I walked away again-we're all in triangle shape. Now he's actually offended-because I'm taking care of myself. He starts harassing me. The woman in front starts engaging again-walks right up to show me some religious card-saying in fake syrupy voice how she'll pray for me. She kept trying to touch me. I told her to stop-dont touch me. She proceeds to go up to the man and they talk about all the crazies out there. So I could hear., I ignored. I was shaking when I left. I've called Safeway headquarters maybe a year ago to ask their policy-they never returned my call. One year. At home I called a handyman who offered to help-he said he and his wife live across the street and they avoid Safeway like a plague. No wonder. Smart people. I just don't want to stop using Safeway pharmacy because they are so professional, friendly, and on top of it. Safeway officially sucks. The lack of their corporate office not calling back, the manager purposely ignoring me, the Starbucks too meek to ask the women who cut me, to wear masks. It's insane in there. People need to WAKE UP....this virus we all hate KILLS people like me, it killed my father, this is pure nonsense at this point to not mask in enclosed places. There is no excuse.

Denied me service. I am a nurse. I chose to not wear a mask. Won't be going back. I should be able to choose when i shop to go massless since i am vaccinated. I don't care if others are vaccinated or not. Bad device, or lack of.

very rude First thing to start off the morning came in for breakfast burritos got told they didn't open till eight why the lady was making them ask for several different items and the lady gaveunwanted attitude The deli could work on better customer service and how they talk to their customers we already live in a world of unkindness.
