I was so anxious to go to a salon after having cut my own curly hair for 20 years. It was time for a change and I just came because of the yelp reviews. I am so glad I came here! I received such care, and amazing style that makes me feel good. Such a great experience. Thank you.

I absolutely love Crystal. I've been getting blonde highlights my whole life but my previous hair stylist retired so I went to crystal for the first time and she did a fantastic job. Super natural baby lights. The salon is gorgeous and the hair stylists are top notch.

Krystal is a gem (sorry for the pun). She is an amazing hair cutter and a darling person. I hadn't had my hair cut for a long long time due to lack of Covid safety at other salons. Krystal was more than happy to cut my hair outside!! She not only shlepped this huge mirror outside but she carried the heavy salon chair out there as well. I have to tell you, it was above and beyond. And the best part is that my hair looks fantastic. I'm an old lady with curly/wirey hair. The cut is lovely. So thrilled and grateful to find a safe place with a stylist that does a great job!Service: Haircut

I found this place through their portfolio of haircuts that I found exceptional and had very high hopes that were crushed by my customer service experience. I give this three stars only because the cut ended up pretty and they do offer a touch up. That being said, my emotional experience was one-star worthy. I didn't realize my pixie cut would be $140; not that I completely blame them for my naivety to the situation although I do believe their online quote "$60+" is unreasonably misleading. I feel $140 would have been worth an experience where my hand was held through the process; where the stylist had availability to give me undivided attention and create a safe container where I could communicate my needs and bring a vision to life, but the experience was extremely distracted and impersonal. She was bouncing between me and two other clients with very minimal communication that felt very rushed where I never felt like I really got to finish speaking. Her technique was exceptional and I was sent off with a haircut that received many compliments that my stylist didn't even have the availability to ensure there was enough product in my hair before saying "okay we are done" and starting on her next client. I felt like I was on an assembly line. I came back for my touch up (which again, I think it's great they offer that complimentary to compensate for their prices but maybe they wouldn't be so spread thin if they just lowered the price and charged for touchups?) and hoped my experience would remediate the anxiety I felt about my last experience. She gave me a nice touch up and took some time to style my bangs at the end to help me see the beauty but was all out of adult sizes cloaks and I ended up covered in my hair after she took off the cloak. I felt like that was just another reminder of how double booked they are that they aren't able to provide clients with full care. While my haircut came out nice and it's to my understanding that they devote to eco-friendly practices, I personally will not come back to this place due to their business model of a fast-food type of energy. I reached out to my stylist from my hometown wondering if I was over-reacting and she shared with me that this double-booking impersonal experience is and older generation business model that is now outdated and used as an example of how not to operate a business.Service: Haircut

Top marks for Krystal's freehand balayage skills, not to mention her superpowers to understand guests desires/needs and manifest them in hair form. I would 100% recommend booking with Krystal for anyone seeking color-inspiration. She was able to understand that I needed something "new" while also unwilling to maintain a multi-process look. Krystal gave me an extra boost of purple hair stain that will eventually fade to leave my balayaged blonde ashy as it grows out. This not only ensures an extra-cool blonde to carry me through summer, but also temporarily gives me a funky vivid purple until I wash it all out! Viola- I get to mix it up without the commitment of a permanent dye! The salon is definitely hipster-chic with prices to match - $130 for a quick trim with long layers and $245 for the balayage (both before tip), but the quality is definitely there. Will definitely be returning for my annual hair fix with Krystal!

I love supporting local businesses, so I recommended this salon to my husband to get a haircut. On their website they say haircuts are $60 and up so I thought it was reasonable, especially for a men’s cut. Little did I know they’d charge him $130!! Definitely ask how much the service will be before booking or you’ll be severely overcharged.

This salon has consistent turnover of stylists, cancelling appts hours before, and cannot keep to their schedule. My wife has finally given up. They are so unreliable

Reframe is simply the best. I went in as a totally new customer, and as someone deathly afraid of cutting their hair. I wanted long layers and face framing pieces, and I got just that. Kristien Lerfald did my hair, and she is just one of the most pleasant women I have ever met! She listened to me, talked me through every step of what she was going to my hair (knowing I had a ton of anxiety about cutting it). She blended my layers perfectly and I am just over the moon about how my hair came out. I cannot recommend her enough! On top of that, everyone is so friendly and kind, and I appreciated Reframe's safety measures for COVID as well :)

Still getting hair done at Reframe Hair Gallery with Nevuah. Recently cut my hair about 3 inches and received a balayage. Nevuah and Jeremiah made my experience so grateful and relaxing. I love my hair!

Just a wonderful salon experience in general. And, specifically, Rebecca Reedy, who cuts and colors my hair, is just the best stylist anyone could hope for. First, the salon, which is in the Barlow. There's always plenty of easy endless parking -- street and behind the building. TJeremy at the front is a love: really considerate and friendly. My visits never feel rushed and the space always feels serene and unrushed. The space is airy and open. A nice aesthetic any time, but essential in this time of Covid. There's a spacious patio that runs the length of the building (Reframe is flanked by California Sister (beautiful plants and flowers) on one side, and Taylor Lane, which has really fine coffee drinks and eats, on the other. The salon has its own separate area in front where you can have coffee while you wait for your hair to do that thing it has to do after you color it. Nice as Reframe is, I wouldn't be driving to it all the way from the east bay if it wasn't for Rebecca being here. She's been my stylist for about a decade and when she relocated to Sonoma, well, so did I. At least for hair purposes. I have curly hair, as does she, and she's a pro at nailing the right cut for it. She listens, and she's creative, so in the end, you get what ends up being just right for you. She's also a pro with color and uses products that are easy on the hair and the earth, which I love. But what's also wonderful is that she's a generous, thoughtful, smart woman, someone I enjoy talking to. Going out to Sebastopol to see her is a treat I look forward to. I leave with my hair looking good, and with the bonus of having spent some time with one of my favorite people in a lovely, welcoming space. I highly recommend her and Reframe.

I've been getting my hair cut by Nevuah for 10+ years, and I won't get my hair cut anywhere but at Reframe - I schedule an appointment every time I'm back in California visiting my family. I have a lot of really fine, super straight hair, and she's taken me through long hair, short hair, a few iterations of bangs, and I've always loved the haircut - never had a problem with my layers not blending, the ends getting fuzzy from using the wrong cutting tools, etc. I love Reframe so much I arranged for the stylists at Reframe to do the hair for my wedding and for my bridal party - around 8 people. They were incredibly flexible with scheduling, and managed to do multiple updos, blowouts, and braids/curls/etc in around 3.5 hours. Nevuah, Sarah, Jeremiah and Jenny made the process really easy for me, and I can't recommend Reframe strongly enough.

If you want high quality hair styling this is the place to go. If wanting highlights, or any type of color, see Jenny. She really knows her stuff! Nevuah, the owner, is running a very clean and professional salon. Thank you ladies!!!
