Our little Casita RV trailer had a broken step ladder which we neglected for years, not knowing exactly who to turn to locally to fix something one off. Patterson Automotive came to the rescue, not only did they do a great job of mending the broken metal ladder, they were very easy to work with from initial call, issue assessment, and to final job completion. We really appreciated their professionalism. Thanks so much!

I have a 2001 Toyota RAV4 that I have owned since I bought it new. It's my husband and my go to car to run around. I had always taken it to Toyota for service since I bought it. Well up until I got the price for the 120,000 mile service. Now it's over 144,000 miles and I knew it was time to find someone I trusted to service it. I had met the Patterson's when they were buying the property. They had always been amazing to work with. So I took it there from Windsor. Talk about thorough. Jamie did a head to toe inspection and broke the inspection down on what was truly needed and what could wait. They know the car is older but made sure it was going to be safe. Jen, went over everything with us and what we were charged for. We are so happy we took it there and feel like I have a new safe car. They even got rid of a rattle that drove us crazy but no one could find.

Every time I'd drive by Patterson Automotive I'd get a really good feeling about it. Our Volvo XC60 was out of warranty and needed an oil change so I decided to take it there. Patterson is now going to be our go-to mechanic, love the people, love the service, love the feeling of trust and kindness. Thank you Patterson!!

My husband and I have brought all of our cars to Patterson Automotive now for many years. Several times they have let us know things to do, on our own, to help diagnose or fix what is wrong. They have even reffered us to other places, for example with tire repair, when they know that another shop can do something more efficiently or cheaper. Of course they have given us diagnostic and fixed our cars many times, but I know that they truly want what is best for our cars and our family. Their ethics are beyond reproach and after so many years, cars, options and repairs I feel blessed that they are out there for us. They are the best!

Pains me to write this update. We used Patterson for two of our cars an F-150 and Mini Clubman. Probably spent around 2-3k with them. At first they were taking the to time to really diagnose and fix issues. Jayme is a great guy.. Then they got busier and focused more on the profit. Case in point my F-150 was having engine issues ( timing etc ) I did a little research and came in with my ideas of what could be wrong. Jayme told me that my engine was shot and that it would be around $8k to replace. I was bummed obviously and thought about just selling the truck as is.. then I got turned on a good mechanic in SR who took the time to diagnose the issue, cost me $1200 and here I am 36k miles and 4 years later no problems. We took our Mini in around the same time, Jayme ran a diagnosis and told us that we'd be better off selling it because there were to many issues and it was going to fall apart.. We took the same Mini to Jerome (our new mechanic) and he diagnosed that the batterie terminal was defective and was causing ODM errors through the roof. $150 to fix it, 4 years 46k miles later it's still a great car! Jayme is a nice guy, but they either don't have the experience or more focused on the profit now.. sad.

Ethical people, problem solvers, fair business practices. They let you know clearly what they discover and howuch time it will take to do thw repairs. The husband and wife team are both really nice. They are maintaining safe protocol as well.

Patterson automotive is by far the very best mechanic in all of Northern California. It is a family owned and operated shop right in the heart of Sebastopol. Jayme and Jen are the nicest people you will ever meet. Jayme is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and can fix anything! There pricing is very fair and they stand behind all their work. With all this said they are the best mechanic shop in Northern California, for a price everyone can afford. They are very busy because of being the best so call ahead and get on their schedule in advance!Services: Transmission

I have not gone there yet for the work, but I stopped by and there was a mechanic working in the Bay, and I spoke to him briefly about bringing the car and they come highly recommended, I expect good things or I will return here to adjust my review. But he was very friendly and his quote was reasonable and fair. I just recommended someone who is buying a used Subaru to bring it there to be inspected before his purchase and I look forward to hearing good things! Small towns don't have a lot of options and sometimes they aren't good but this place has a fabulous reputation. I will add more information upon completion.

They are the most honest, caring people. And that's just from one visit. They really care about your safety and your car. You should really check them out. It's real hard to find true honest mechanics.
