Best care for your animal. Staff is very pleasant and competent. Doctors all among the top in the area. I think highly of all of them.

I've been taking my animals here for several years because the vets are exceptionally compassionate and knowledgeable. However, during the past 3 or 4 visits, I've noticed the main receptionist seems extremely put off when you enter the clinic, fails to greet you, won't make eye contact let alone try to smile, and to top it off makes snarky off handed comments about clients animals. She is truly the most unpleasant individual I've encountered in a veterinary office. She portrays such an unprofessional client relationship as a first point of contact, that I am seriously considering switching to another place for the future care of my pets.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this vet hospital. The energy in the waiting room is healing all by itself. The drs are all warm and caring. While our little girl has" crossed over the rainbow bridge " I will probably go sit in in the waiting room to watch all the dogs come and go and observe how warmly the staff greets the patients . I have been to other practices and believe this place should train other clinics how to behave towards pets and their owners. They are amazing and we are very grateful for the care they gave our girl Lulu.

Edwina and Judy were so thoughtful and helpful in assisting me with my cat Daisy. It makes such a difference dealing with an elderly pet's health issues when the people on the other end of a telephone line are so very friendly and kind. Many thanks to them for their great help.

I started bringing my pets here when I lived in Forestville. And it was because I was dog sitting for a neighbor in the hospital and one day, her dog, Shannon, was not able to stand up or eat anything even if I held the bowl. I will say Shannon was a 20 year old pit bull, blind and partially deaf. My neighbor had taken her in to be put to sleep a few times and changed her mind at the last instant. I called the vet, they immediately knew who Shannon was and told me that it was time to put her to sleep. So I called my neighbor in the hospital and told her. She called the vet who told her the same thing, gently. We arranged the vet to come out after office hours and put Shannon to sleep in her own bed, with her mistress on the phone. Right then I decided that a vet that cared that much was the vet I'd take my cats to. Another thing that is amazing about these doctors is that one of my cats started having convulsions at 8 months and the doctor immediately recognized it as hypoparathyroidism. This disease is so rare that most cats die from it by the time it's diagnosed. They sent me to Pet Care because they have 24 hour staff and this vet doesn't. They sent off Jamethiel's fluids to the University of Michigan Veterinary School and confirmed the diagnosis. She'll have to be on medication for the rest of her life, but she's a live, healthy, and beautiful cat, now six years old. Dr. Nicole told me that this is the first case she's seen and it's so rare she would bet that the Pet Care doctors have never before seen it, either. I trust all the doctors in this practice.

I have lived in Sonoma County my entire life and have not found a veterinary hospital as good as this one. I was a veterinary technician myself, so that's saying a lot. I've seen three different doctors here and they are all patient, kind and great at educating the clients. The tech staff is efficient and my animals love them. They've been wonderful at making sure everyone is up to date on their stuff and have been flexible with appointment times. They always let me know what is going on when my animals have been left there for the day. They're knowledgeable and they do procedures in the best and safest ways. Also, so thankful they haven't sold themselves to VCA!!! I'm not a huge fan of one of the receptionists, but I don't believe she represents the way the practice the way it actually runs so I'm still leaving a 5 star review. The doctors and techs are what matter.

I decided to go here after meeting Dr. Barbara when she came into my work. I loved the calming happy feeling I got from her and she didn't shy away at the thought of treating my Bengal Romeo. Stick it out to the end for what you really want to know About 7 months ago was our first visit we saw Dr. Gwen she was wonderful with him. She fixed him up calling to check on him for several days. The office staff is always caring and helpful. Most recently I had to bring him in because he just wasn't well. This time I met Dr. Giliana she was so sweet and knowledgeable she didn't try to up sell me on treatments that may or may not work. She was so heartfelt when she had to call to tell me my Romeo had cancer. Which brings me to the incredible compassionate service they gave me today. Dr. Jill made a tough decision easier. Thank you everyone!! Now to what you want to know I feel like the rates they charge are very reasonable for medical care. They understand everyone doesn't have a money tree in their backyard. So they are very reasonable!! I don't live in Sebastopol but every trip there was worth it!!

Even before I started working here, I'd talk up this practice. I was a client for over 30 years before I joined the team. I love every aspect of this practice. The Doctors diversity, as well as my co-workers! We come from different walks of life, yet we each add an uniqueness of style. We work as a team and I believe it shows as the clientele regularly refers new business to us.

I would give six stars if I was reviewing the veterinary doctors alone - we primarily see Dr. Rockwood but also on occasion saw a couple of others, and they are all GREAT. Tender with their patients, extremely attentive to detail and perceptive, well informed and also respectful and compassionate in dealing with humans bringing the patients in... However it is only four stars because of the couple of factors - one, maybe harder to remedy, waiting room area is way too small and sometimes dogs and cats are literally on top of each other, with who knows what medical conditions, and stress! especially for cats. Not much room outside, either, to sit down and wait. Two, very slow and not always friendly reception desk. I understand that they need to be careful and methodical, too, but they often do not seem efficient and sometimes act as if their human customers are a nuisance. On one occasion, one of our dogs got very ill (and she is battling cancer) and could not get through a receptionist to be able to bring the dog in the same day, she insisted that they did not have anything available until two days later. When I finally, finally managed to force them to put me through to me talk with a doctor, I was able to bring the dog in right away, and the vets took good care of her. But it was very, very wrong the way it happened.

This is the best, small town vet, with great knowledge, a real love of animals and super reasonable prices. I had gone to two other vets for the same issue with one of my cats and wasn't listened to and the problem persisted. I came here and rather than being dismissed, the vet took time, was extremely thorough and even consulted with her colleague. In addition to that, they followed up with me to see how my cat was doing a few days later. My cat is better and the rest of my animals will be going here from now on.

Reliable pet care that is focused on your animal friend, not a pay check. The people here know their stuff and genuinely have the animals best interests in mind at all times. My family, having had many animals, has been going here for years. They are well worth the drive if you don't live in Sebastopol, we happily come from Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa. There is not kinder and more comforting team if it comes to a point that your animal friend must pass. They do this with you and their comfort in mind, and while it is never a happy occasion they make it as painless and compassionate as possible. These are genuinely wonderful and caring people and they absolutely go out of their way to do best by you and by the animals they serve.

We found AHS as primary care and then end of life care for our family dog of 15 years. Dr. Nicole and the whole team were always so helpful and patient with dog and parents needs. Then they transitioned into our hospice support team ... we can't say enough for the love and support we received these last few months. Most sincere thanks - Elizabeth & Mel.

This place is my favorite vet that I have ever been to. They are beyond attentive, extremely caring and genuine and listening to everything you have to say, and open to hearing any research you've done yourself that may concern you, even if they know better. I saw Dr. Barbara, she gave me a full rundown of everything I needed to know to get rid of the flea infestation in my house. They even told me to let my friend know they're all thinking about her, because my friend who referred me had to have her cat put down here, and could not stop talking about how friendly and supportive all of these people were when she just broke down in this vets office because her cat died. Please, do yourself and your pet a favor, and go to this vet.
