Great bank if you enjoy banking like it's 1965. Always a 20 minute wait and then 10 min for them to pull up your info. Temporary cards are not an option - must wait 2 weeks for a new one if you lose yours. Zelle glitches out all the time. No forgiveness for overdrafts. Serious need for tech upgrade company-wide. The worst part is the "sorry not sorry" attitude when they are unable to make ANY exceptions to their policies.

Supervisor is rude and unprofessional. Shared account value and withdrawal details loudly in bank. Made rude remarks about my occupation. The supervisor (Annette) is why people don't like coming into banks. No customer service skills.

Last month I wanted to cash a large check from financial aid. I had to seek permission from my home branch. The manager Rhett refused, I then told him what I thought of how he was running the bank. Then, to be vindictive he tried to close my account. He also shut off my debit card the day before Thanksgiving. The holidays are ruined....I am a disabled veteran and it takes a long time to get a new account and get the VA on track. The branch said I called in regularly and chewed them out, this is a lie. The can provide no proof of these phone calls either. They are an evil mess and deserve to ALL be fired.

I've never been to any bank in my life where so many different people made so many mistakes so often. This is the most incompetent & unprofessional bank I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. The manager promised to get me something she couldn't deliver, since she didn't know what the hell she was talking about. She didn't let me know until the last minute, when the deal fell through, after working on it for a week. Another inept idiot there signed me up for a credit card that I never ordered, & then sent the information to my insecure home mailbox, which I told them not to use. The financial advisor is the biggest joke of all. He's just full of himself, & looks like the slickdick from Wall St, Mr. Gecko. He's always bragging about himself & his life, but when it comes down to doing business, he's just a pompous a*** He's always making mistakes & is hardly ever properly prepared for our meetings, like getting all the required paperwork in order first, even though I always schedule an appointment in advance. He's even made stupid mistakes like reversing my name, which is just disrespectful & insulting. Whenever he makes mistakes, which is quite often, he never takes any responsibility for them or ever apologizes. [Update] 0ne year their investment group sent me a notice that the annual distribution was 6 times what it used to be & should be. Another year, they never sent me the paperwork to sign for any distribution at all, which I have to take by law. The IR$ can fine you 50% for not doing that. He's supposed be monitoring all this, but obviously never does.

The people at this branch are always extremely helpful, friendly and competent. Bank of the West in Sebastopol is a reminder of what local, old-fashioned service looks like, which isn't very common in these days of big box stores and mammoth corporate conglomerates. I know it sounds like I'm going to launch into a story about how I walked five miles to school in the snow "back in the day," but the truth is that friendly service is becoming more and more uncommon, and I appreciate this aspect of Bank of the West in Sebastopol. The online banking is also very convenient and I've never had any problems with mobile deposits and other banking on my devices.. Happy to have Bank of the West in Sebastopol, and I hope they maintain their old-town service for many years to come.
