They seem great but they are very crowded and very overbooked. Unfortunately that seems to be all the vets in this area.

We have used Animal Hospital of Sebastopol for over 36 years. Their veterinarians are compassionate, highly skilled and excellent communicators as are their staff. I can't say enough good things about this Great Pet Hospital.

This Vet Team has been so great! They have all been working so hard navigating the challenges of the pandemic, staffing shortages, crazy increased demand with all of our new pandemic pets! All while keeping everyone safe and providing excellent care with genuine kindness. They have gone above and beyond in their service to our community. I cannot thank them enough for all that they do. I am deeply grateful.

My family has been taking our animals here for as long as I can remember, and I can't say a single bad thing about this place. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and truly want what's best for your fur babies. They also understand that pet care can get expensive so they are happy to teach you to perform treatments at home to save costs. Just be aware that because they are so great, they are always busy. Calling to make an appointment often means sitting on hold for quite some time. I promise, however, they are worth that wait!

Everyone at Animal Hospital of Sebastopol is wonderful. Today I had 3 small dogs who may have consumed a box of chocolate. I called at 4:00 they said bring them in. I did. I didn’t wait for hours. They took them immediately even though their parking lot was full. Only one dog was the culprit but they all were treated and they didn’t charge me an arm and leg. I love this place. ❤️

I can't say enough good things about the veterinarians and their staff. Everyone is so kind, thoughtful and professional! They're awesome about getting back to you when your pet has labs or other issues that you need to talk about. I have two rescues one of which is very skittish and afraid of people he doesn't know, they are so thoughtful and careful with him which brings his stress level down! I highly recommend them!

I LOVE Animal Hospital of Sebastopol! I have 4 dogs and a cat and I have been coming here on and off for years. About 2 years ago AC "After COVID" I decided to come back to them for all of my pets because they were always available for me and my pets. Most of the time when I have to see a vet it is because there is something going on with one of the 5 animals I have that is not urgent but needs to be addressed soon. Diarrhea, throwing up, not eating, torn toenail, etc, etc, etc. They always help to get my pet seen. I may have to drop them off in the morning and pick them up later but they never tell me "it's going to be 3 weeks". The staff is wonderful and kind with compassion and a sense of humor (when appropriate). The doctors work long hours. Dr. Nicole called me at 7:30 at night to give me Pepe's lab results and it wasn't urgent she just did that. They don't push unneeded tests on me or procedures that are expensive. We talk over the options and they give me realistic options. In short, I trust them with the care of my pets and that's a big thing. I just wish that I could once again be in the room with my pets when they are being examined but that's for me, I know they are being treated safely and professionally.

I brought my 12 year old cocker female in for basic checkup. She had a few issues but not life threatening. As I was leaving a tech came out and suggested a shot, something like Lipitor. Said it was important. The tech had been there for two weeks. I agreed trusting as always.this shot can cause side affects. The next morning my dog had died......the medication caused an serious breathing problem. At twelve years old this shot was unnecessary. the vet denied the possibility but other vets agreed with me. I will not return to this hospital and still feel the injection was not needed with a sedentary dog. She has passed, I am devastated and I have a new baby girl and a new vet.

Care is excellent. But I'm tried of being put on hold and my call never picked up. I was left on hold twice today. Customer service needs to improve.

Such great care for my Enzo! His neuter surgery went textbook perfect, his pain management was perfect as well! Our dog healed up fast and his incision is looking great, too. Thanks for your excellent work/ Enzo is in good hands with you, which means a lot to us humans.

In the past I would have rated this hospital with five stars, but the customer service has gone downhill since Covid. I realize that veterinarians and their staff are busy, and Covid restrictions has made things more difficult. But how hard is it to answer the phone or call a client back when they leave a message. In the past month, I've attempted to make an appoint five times over the phone. Each time I called, no one answered the phone. Rather, the answering message machine told me that everyone was busy. I was instructed to leave a message and someone would get back to me at the end of the day. Well this never happened. I finally tried to make an appointment with the Pet Desk app. The next day, I received a call from one of the receptionists about setting up the appointment, but she needed to talk to the doctor before doing so. She would check with the doctor and call me right back. That was two days ago. When I called today I was told that no one knew who called me and that person failed to convey my message to the doctor. Now the doctor was out until June 17. When I asked if someone could email the doctor about an appointment I was told that the doctors don't have email. This is not the way to run a business.

First, the care here is pretty decent. I've brought my cats here for various ailments and they both appeared to have been correctly diagnosed (congenital gum disease for Eli; fatal stomach cancer for Amos), and I have to report the hospital is following COVID protocol by meeting pet owners in the parking lot, masked up. Their billing practices lately are... unorthodox. The day my cat Amos passed away, I canceled a scheduled appointment and when they called and I explained what had happened, I offered to come in to settle my bill. I was told "Don't worry about it right now; we'll be in touch." I thought, OK, I'm getting an invoice in the mail. I did not. I did receive a very nice sympathy card in the mail. Two weeks later, they sent an email basically stating "Sorry to hear about Amos. You still owe us [$ amount]." No itemization of charges, no additional information; just give us money. I find that very odd. The following morning, they left a voicemail. An hour or so later, I got a text. I replied to the text questioning the lack of an invoice. An email, voicemail and text in the span of fewer than 24 hours when the client isn't aware of what's going on is a LOT. I get that COVID has been tough on business and not everyone qualifies for PPP funding, but standard business protocol still needs to be followed.

Words can not describe the gratitude I feel for the way Animal Hospital of Sebastopol assisted me with saying goodbye to my beloved feline friend Tiger. Not only did they show great empathy, but they also did not charge me to put her down, unlike the two other vet hospitals I experienced. Paying for this procedure right after saying goodbye to a friend is painful. Thank you to the good people at Animal Hospital of Sebastopol for not charging to take a friend out of pain and misery. And thank you for all the assistance in making Tiger's life comfortable while extending her lifetime for another three years of bonding and loving.

We recently brought our dog to Animal Hospital of Sebastopol for some routine shots and to have her nails buffed. The technician did a horrible job clipping our dogs nails. They were left splintered and our dog was crying and could not walk due to the poor job done by the technician. I called and spoke with the veterinarian who apologized and offered to give us some pain medication as well as refund the charges for the nail care. Although this was a nice gesture, I let the veterinarian know that we would no longer be bringing our pets to their office. They offered us a letter of apology but instead we received a certified letter from Animal Hospital of Sebastopol with a short paragraph apologizing for the "miscommunication " followed by a very passive aggressive few sentences telling us we were no longer welcomed as patients at their office. I had already made it clear that they had lost our business , and this childish behavior on the part of Dr. Canon makes me question her dedication to helping animals. Do Not Bring Your Pet Here
