I could write novels about how much my partner and I love this place — matched only by how much our PUP loves this place.Juniper practically sprints out of the car when we pull into the driveway, straight up to the door. Inside, she’s greeted by familiar, friendly faces who clearly love what they do. The managers, Carla and Megan, are true professionals, and every one of their employees seems happy to be there. The facilities are well kept, and the dogs are vetted, supervised, and tended to appropriately. The staff are extremely attentive, and keep us informed if there is any unusual behavior.We have had bad experiences before at another, larger place nearby. Felt like we had to drag our scared, shaking dog inside every time. It wasn’t long before we called it quits and found Almost Home. Thank god we did, because it really is just that! We feel so thankful to have a place we trust with our favorite, furry family member.

Absolute gem of a facility. I’d heard great things and then brought my boy in and knew we were in a safe place. My dog is my life and to leave him was nerve wracking (for me, not him lol ) but the staff, especially Megan, made the experience quick and felt right. I came to collect him after his assessment and he was so happy and exhausted from the new friends he played with. Definitely found our home away from home.

This is by far the BEST option for doggie daycare. I’ve been taking my lab there for nearly 2 years now and we’ve grown to love all of the staff there. What stands out the most is the professionalism amongst the staff, the CLEANLINESS as well. From the entrance to the lobby to the area where the dogs play-it’s freaking CLEAN!!Carla, the owner has made some incredible improvements to the daycare as well. She & her staff ensure a safe environment for dogs of all sizes and have a great system for vetting dogs that are a good fit and those that would not. My dog is excited when we pull up and always comes home pooped!Almost Home is amazing! Your dog will love it!!

The best!!!! Our two dogs love going there. They jump out of the car and run to the gate to get in and spend time playing. The caregivers are very kind to the dogs and to the dog parents. Really a safe , well managed and welcoming place to that your dog.

I've been waiting a while to write this review, because I wanted to be sure about it. We started our puppy here before he was neutered. They really liked him, and he loved to be there. They were very clear they would watch his behavior - they kicked him out at a point where he was getting too "humpy" and aggressive with other dogs - we understood and appreciated that. We got him neutered, and several weeks later, we brought him back.He absolutely loves it there, and the staff are super friendly, very knowledgeable, and clearly take good care of the dogs there. We are happy with our choice. We looked at some others, but although this one was a tiny bit more expensive, it felt better- less chaotic, cleaner, more oriented to the dogs care.I highly recommend them!

Let me say this first: I did a lot of research before picking the place to send my pup. I went to other places in Santa Rosa and surrounding and was either horrified by what i saw or was incredibly uncomfortable with the idea of leaving my pup with them. From the moment i brought my 100 pound puppy to them it's been a perfect experience. They aren't the cheapest but that's ok. I know that when i drop him off he is safe, and will have a great time. They have let me in the back to see where they bring the dogs and it's great! There are NO cages! They are completely transparent and thorough. They first vet every dog (and owner) to see if they will be a good fit. Every person who works there and the owners are very well trained and vetted. Every dog that i have seen getting dropped off is super excited to go there and the staff know all the dogs by name. It's a great feeling to know my dog is in such great hands!!! Seriously why would anyone take their dogs anywhere else??

Our dog never wants to leave! I am so happy I found this place. There are a lot of doggie day care places in Sonoma county, but this one just feels different. My little pup has the best time here. All of the staff are so friendly and kind. No one ever seems stressed or worried. The people and dogs coming in and out are the same, super friendly, kind and neither dog nor human is stressed or amped up. That says so much! The dogs get a lot more human interaction here, and they seem to make sure that dogs are paired with the right group, not just for their size, but for their temperament. When I come to pick up my little girl she just wants to go back in for more fun. She always comes out tired and happy. We love you Almost Home! Thank you for what you do every day!

We trust Carla and the Almost home staff more than anyone with our girl Rio. We appreciate the love, safety and respect they have for our pup and would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Our dogs have been going to Almost Home for years now for day care, grooming, and some overnight stays. Each dog has loved going there which tells me all I need to know about how they are treated by the staff, and the owner and staff are also friendly to humans as well!

They managed to traumatize my happy, well adjusted dog in ten minutes. The staff's belief in their own expertise bordered on arrogance. Communication was poor and my instructions were not followed. I do not recommend.

Almost Home is the best in Sonoma county that I have found. My dogs have been going to almost Home to play for years, I have never had a problem with the staff, and it is clear that Ella Bleu loves playing there. It’s far from my home now so I tried another day care for her but both my dog and I were very weary of the end at the day results, Ella was different when I picked her up from the other place, it just seemed wrong. So... I make the drive a couple days a week to let Ella Bleu enjoy herself and play with great dogs and people. Thank you Carla and Sue for providing a great place for pups to hang and be with their kind of dogs and people that cafe for them.

A small business, I am impressed with their priorities, caring for our dogs! I saw conscious attention to my dog's evaluation time, learning about him, what he was comfortable with and not. I am looking forward to using their services. Keep up the great work.
