How can I start before everything went down the rabbit hole, this place is great at first with good customer service; at first okey! ect. Over a couple months of purchasing the vehicle I encountered an issue with the registration, the dealer sold me a vehicle with no Smog done. Do your research this is Illegal when selling a used vehicle, they never brought this up when doing the sale keep that in mind. Or else why would I buy a vehicle that doesn’t pass Smog. I was told that I can bring it back or do it myself and get refunded for the amount it cost to smog it. Well here I go for an adventure the car wouldn’t pass smog, they tried smogging the car themselves in the past and couldn’t get it to pass! So Why did they sale the vehicle then. I some how got it to pass due to some cycles the vehicle was having issue with. Magically it passed but I had to put over 400 miles on that car of just driving. Im still going to take it to a second smog as I’ve been advised by a third party. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks still no refund for the amount I spent for two smogs. Why didn’t I take it back well I live in Oakland it’s quite a drive to Monterey Ca. Still no response or any update of registration as I keep texting to check update, is it really fare for me to waste my personal time and handle this myself absolutely not.

Place is very unprofessional and communication is severely lacking. Not to mention the fact they will try their hardest to charge you extra months of warranty after you buy an extended warranty and try to cancel it for whatever reason you need to. They make a ton of empty promises along with some lies that just overall have left me with the worst experience ever at a dealership. I genuinely forget they are even a Porsche dealer with how terrible their customer service is. Took me 4 months of spamming the dealership with phone calls and emails and texts after trying to cancel my warranty due to me selling the car. The people at this dealership and I say people due to me reaching out to almost their entire staff and still dealing with issues regardless of who I spoke to seem to not care about their customers one bit! They refused to submit my cancellation for my 3-4 months and I tried to reach out to everyone at the dealership and was even told they had processed the paperwork and the check for almost 5 grand would be sent out by 30-60 days. I totally wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and just took their many times of them guaranteeing the paperwork had been submitted. 120 days pass by and still haven't received a check. I then decide to keep trying and eventually I come to find out the paperwork was never submitted and they essentially stole $200-300 after guaranteeing me that the paperwork was submitted on March 8th! It's now July 15th and I decided to reach out to the person I was told would give me all the communication I needed and what do you know. I'm getting ghosted again. This is exactly what I expected to happen after my first few months of getting played with. I expect a lot more from a Porsche dealership. These are the dealers that ruin my love for cars was hoping to builo a good relationship with them and they've completely spoiled it. It's sad that Porsche allows them to operate in such a manner. Worst part when I tried to reach out to someone in corporate all the dealership provided was the customer support line for Porsche. Pathetic dealership
150 days later and attempting to reach out to the gm and I'm still being given the run around. Very unfortunate seems as if I'll never receive any of my money back. I wouldn't trust this dealership one bit. Soon going to be August and haven't even heard one bit about the status of my refund. This is after the gm essentially made an assurance to at least get me an update. Still no word. They are quick to try and respond to bad yelp reviews but will ghost you as soon you need actual help. Faith Tell, Ojas Patel and the GM have continually told me they'd check on the progress or status of my cancellation just to give me zero information. To this day I'm not sure if the warranty cancellation has even been submitted. Only decent person here seems to be David Mccan otherwise wouldn't really go off the words the others tell you as they seem to be meaningless.

Well my service experience started out okay with a morning greeting and car compliments, that's about all the positive feedback I can provide. It went downhill form there.
Garrett Clapper assisted with the vehicle check-in process. I later discovered he provided me with "False Information" about the extended warranty I had, stating that I could just submit the repair cost for reimbursement since the dealership didn't accept the plan so I proceeded to leave the vehicle.
Once I returned home a call was made to the car warranty company that explained the complete opposite, I could NOT submit the repair for reimbursement, the dealership had to do it.
I immediately contacted Garrett and asked to him to stop the service work for what I suspected to be a coolant leak.
He said the car just went back and insisted they continue with the diagnosis, he didn't even check, I felt I had no other choice but to let the work continue.
Shortly there after I drove by the dealer and noticed my car parked outside behind the service department.
Once again I immediately called, while I was parked out back, and asked to stop work on the car, he called me back and said the car was being inspected and going back together soon, REALLY! I was looking at the car!
After picking up the car I was charged $450 for at most was 1 hour worth of work.
I later explained my concerns to the service manager, Nicholas Newton, by email who stood behind the cost and didn't offer any solution.
I went further to express my unpleasant experience to their corporate office, Lithia Motors, yes this dealer is part of a corporate conglomerate. It went nowhere, Lithia Motors Does NOT CARE! I was simply asking for what I felt was a fair price credit to do nothing since no repair was made and they sided with the dealership. Why of course they would.
I should have called the warranty company myself before leaving the car, my mistake. The point is they made a "False Statement" and wouldn't stand behind their mistake, management nor Lithia didn't care.
One thing is for sure, it will cost them more in the long run as I will never return to Monterey Porsche for anything.
The choice is yours....

1 star isn't an easy rating to give any business. That said, it is crystal clear that this Porsche dealer and business greatly underestimates the importance of the customer as well as its representation of a long time reputable and customer centric brand.
My interaction started with Nick Newton, the service dept. lead. I made it clear that I didn't have an appointment and was only listening into a phone call I was on. Nick talked down to me immediately in reply instructing me to "get off the phone before coming back" to his office. I couldn't believe it and immediately brought it to the GM, Aaron Z. Nicks tone and way with words in various interactions with him come with a uncalled for and false entitlement to say the least.
After finally being able to ask questions about a potential noise from my car, which Nick in his same demeaning tone explained "would most likely be a transfer case, but I can't get you in for weeks and definitely not with a loaner car" was THE worst possible way to handle my genuine concern for my car. Since there were no warning lights, Nick advised me my car was fine to drive and suggested I drive to Santa Cruz Enterprise (1hr away) where he heard that they still had some available rentals - but reiterated he wouldn't be able to touch my car for weeks and with no loaner, leaving me with a hefty rental car bill. I opted to not drive to Santa Cruz and rather decided to check out the local rental facility at the Monterey airport instead. Just as I'm parking my Porsche at the airport to inquire about a rental car, the engine explodes lifting me in the air. It's only then that anv warning light came on. My car was inoperable and I had it towed into the dealer.
Two weeks later, I hear from Nick stating there were a couple of problems that needed correcting (under the existing and valid warranty). This included a transfer case and drivetrain. This takes another four+ weeks to resolve and fix.
10 weeks later, I receive a call from the Aaron Zielinski who is the stores general manager. What I thought was a call to tell me that my car was ready and that they were sorry for the experience turned into a nightmare - - In short, Aaron was kind and calm yet highlighted my car, after being in their possession for two+ months, with repairs of transfer case and drivetrain, all of the sudden needed an entire new transmission ($27,000). He made it clear that this would be entirely my responsibility and warranty wouldn't cover it. After a heated back and forth that only validated their shenanigans and facade of a power trip, I realized my time was better spent suing them. In the most attractive way I knew how, I told him to go FK himself.
After suing, winning beyond expectations and surrendering my car, l've reflected for months triangulating with Porsche corporate executives, other Porsche dealer service managers, Employees of this dealer and the Porsche enthusiast community. It's loud and clear that this dealer grossly needs a punch in the throat. They misrepresent the Porsche brand so much, it hurts.
I highly recommend taking your business for both service and sales elsewhere even if it’s a little bit longer drive.

Contacted through cargurus, regarding 718 David McCann replied, had no idea anything about Porsche or exact car, sent me spec list and no longer replied for almost a week. I sent follow up - nothing .
Contacted another manager and I got 20% out of 100% when asked to start a purchase process he transferred back to David who is not responding.
What is the purpose of sales managers if they even can’t do paperwork, I am not even talking about understanding the cars they selling. Toilet paper sales managers know more about their product than managers in Porsche .
Sales managers must sale more or equal of the person who wanted to buy. I bet website has better conversion rate than humans in this dealer .
I am exciting if anyone paying them for this “work” lol

Since young I learned that if I didn't have something nice to say, it is better not to say anything, silence. The only comment is that even if my Porsche breaks down. In front of Monterey Porsche I will have it tow to Redwood City Porsche.

I purchased a new Macan that had only 97 miles. After 3 days the car had multiple messages along with the check engine light on. The car lost all power and I had to coast of the freeway. I immediately called the dealership back. Spoke with Nick in service with no help was advised that I needed a trickle battery charge. Service person said this is common. Salesperson did nothing. I actually asked for my old car back. I purchased the battery charger for $300 - which did not help. The car would start after it cooled but only to lose all power and die when driven. Porsche Monterey offered no help - no concern - they had my money. I contacted another dealership and explained what was going on. They scheduled an appt and provided me with a loaner. The San Jose dealership was incredible - I was not treated like and idiot that didn't know how to drive a car - my car had issues with the oil jet piston system. Everything is fixed. I also received a text a few days later to check in on how the car was doing. I am very disappointed with the time and service I received from Porsche Monterey. I would recommend taking a drive to Stevens Creek.

We were looking at a 911 for my Husband and a Macan for myself. We experienced a very rude Sales Person with no training or knowledge of the 911. Ended up going to San Jose and the service was much better. Just a heads up for locals,We found out the the manager of this place doesn't even live in California. We prefer to keep our money in the local area.

Having owned Porsches since 1997, I’ve had experiences with several Porsche dealerships in various states. I have found Porsche Monterey to have a largely incompetent service department. After repeated issues with their team, I finally learned from Porsche USA that the dealership doesn’t have a single “Platinum Certified” technician on staff. By their own admission, Porsche Monterey is a third rate Porsche dealership and is fortunate to be the only game in town.

I'm glad to give my salesman the highest possible recommendation. Jun had provided me with some excellent advice on an unrelated Porsche purchase my son was making in Atlanta years ago. Since that time I have hoped that I could repay his kindness and professional knowledge by purchasing a car from him and it finally happened yesterday. After helping me evaluate a few different choices, Jun sold me a new Macan . Throughout the shopping and eventual purchasing process I was never pressured or rushed in any way which was a refreshing experience. I recommend Jun and Monterey Porsche without reservation. Jun is a perfect example of what a automobile sales professional should strive to become.

The Team at Porsche Monterey are the warmest and most hospitable staff myself and I wife have had the pleasure of doing business with. I hate to leave anyone out when saying thank you but a special thanks to Jun, ( Mr. Felino Quinto), Mr. Aaron Zielinski and Ms. Heather Norton. The process of ordering two 911's has been a very special process and resulted in two pieces of automotive art. We can't wait to see everyone again at the August bbq, car week and finally Rennsport. Thank you again to all of you.Randolph and Allyson P.
