“Central Avenue Pharmacy is one of the best pharmacies on the Monterey Bay. They hold themselves to a very high professional standard, and consistently exceed your expectations. Additionally, they always have multiple employees available to problem solve any and every issue. Whether your insurance, M.D. or an issue regarding the stock of a medication, they always find a way to make sure you have your RX.Personally, as somebody who recently moved to Salinas after living on the MB for over 20 years; I drive to PG several times per month because of the quality of service.I'd highly recommend CAP to anybody dealing with poor and careless corp.pharmacy's typical and unacceptable inability to provide excellent customer care.”

“Wait! What's going on? This isn't Black Friday it's normal Wednesday, right? People lined up to get in the store that won't open for 30 minutes. I don't know for sure but maybe it's time to buy more Costco stock. I am here too, sadly, thinking the store would open at 9:00- they decided to change the hours and didn't tell anyone. Nobody is complaining. In fact it's Social,Hour - people yakking it up. Waiting. I think I'm in a different Galaxy Heading here for a quick pick up of the usual paper products, waters, etc. Only I'm not early. Haha. Once inside I'm reminded why people shop here. Quality name brand products. Very low cost and a tremendous no questions asked return policy. I decided to peruse the wine department and again was blown away -- anything from very good low cost selections to high end choices you might not expect. Like $300 a bottle stuff. Nice to have choices. I won't go into all the choices just to say every-time I go to the store the inventory changes. It's really the fun thing about the place. And it keeps people coming back.with prices up everywhere on everything it's refreshing to see Costco keeping its low pricing objective in tact. Go, you won't be disappointed.”

“We were out of town when a family member became ill on a Monday after business hours. He was able to have a telemedicine visit with a doctor who sent a prescription to this pharmacy late in the evening. Within 30 minutes the pharmacy checked insurance coverage, filled it, and got approval for CoVid at-home tests the doctor requested he take before beginning the meds. The pharmacist was extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. I was impressed with the entire store as well—seemed very clean and well-stocked.”

“I haven't seen this store since my parents stopped here a few times when I was ten years old. They didn't like the high prices and shopped in the Santa Cruz CVS on the mall after that. Inflation has changed a lot of the price differences, but not all of them. Who would pay more than 15 dollars for a notebook? This is still one of the best CVS stores in the Monterey area and I think it was open 24 hours a year ago instead of the Lighthouse Ave. location. It's large and has more items in stock and no long lines or freaky characters like you might find afternoons at the South Salinas location. My line was only 2 or 3 customers.”

“I went to the store on November 29, 2023 I had some prescriptions filled, and I was confused by the Teleprompter, but when I finally talked to a real person, they explained that three of the items were over-the-counter I don’t like teleprompters, but I really found the service of the people who worked there above and beyond when I got to the store to pick up my prescriptions, the pharmacist was very helpful and making sure I put in my insurance card so I was charged less money. Additionally, he helped me locate the items that were over-the-counter items, the experience of this pharmacy was really really nice. People were very helpful and very concerned the store was clean. I think this is my favorite CVS on the peninsula now we’re lucky to have it.”

“Yes, Bobby, Nina and Emad, the Pharmacist are always professional, kind and have a joy about them. They always greet me by my name and have a big smile on their faces. And when Jennifer is there, she too is fabulous. My favorite pharmacy. I had all of my prescriptions transferred from another pharmacy so that I would receive excellent customer service. Their accuracy of prescriptions to include letting me know that I might experience some side effects. And to please call them if so. I am very grateful for all of them. “I have such a soft spot for drugstores, sundries, etc. We happened to be here at the Crossroads place and figured I'd pop in for eyeshadow, of all things. I've always found they have a better selection of things and more variety than their competitors. I don't understand why am the closures of CVS. But this location fit the bill--I bought a Revlon tattoo shadow; the service is about what you'd expect. The store I found to be unusually large and was forced to walk through more of a warehouse feel, but CVS is one of those places that has pretty much everything, e.g. though I didn't intend to buy them, I also walked out with eye drops and band aids!”

I always feel like they're a waste of time but yesterday I came into Walgreens and a really nice lady named Neece began helping me out during check out and I absolutely loved her service, no one has ever cared to have a conversation with me at that store but her and she has such a genuine personality. She has truly made a positive impact in that store! Her presence their means way more than all the negative reviews on this store.”

“Conveniently located in downtown Monterey, this is a good stop for us when we're on a Monterey trip and need to get some staple items, like water or toiletries. It's never that crowded here and we're able to easily find what we need. Con is that there are usually homeless people on the street right outside which can be a little off putting, especially when you have young children with you.”

“I've never had a negative experience in the years we've been using this pharmacy. Yeah the line may be long at times, but patience is a virtue many people have forgotten. Any time I have a question, the pharmacist always makes sure I understand before I leave. They're the most helpful and personable group of people back there. They're also very easy to get ahold of on the phone unlike CVS and other pharmacies I've had to deal with when Rite Aid doesn't have the immediate medication I need.”

“I use this Walgreens for my mother who lives nearby. This is the only Pharmacy where you can call and actually have someone answer the phone in the pharmacy but also help you. They also recently sent us a text telling me that my mother is eligible for another Covid shot. I have found all the employees that work here friendly and willing to help. This is not the case at all Pharmacies. I recommend this store highly.”
