AVOID! I originally wanted IGLA & an alarm system installed onto my truck but this company doesn't install IGLA only Viper. I cancelled an appointment with them and drove 4 hours away to have IGLA installed and Compustar instead. I mainly wanted IGLA due to its features. Fast forward, I needed a rear dash camera (purchased off amazon; Neideso 360 dash camera set) installed into my camper shell and this company refused stating that "I had to go back to the people that installed my security system to have them install a rear dash camera". That is a lie. He was upset that I didn't use his company to install my after factory security system. This behavior shows a lack of emotional intelligence and poor customer service. People have after factory devices installed by different companies all the time. The front dash camera was installed by me inside my truck but due to having a camper shell I wanted the rear camera placed into the campershell.

Tim and Karen have lots of experience, are honest, and really know their stuff. They've installed an alarm and speakers in my cars. They provide clean, quality installation. The best auto stereo shop on the peninsula!

I had a stereo installed in my vehicle by another company 8 years ago and over the years several of the speakers have stopped working. I left a text message with Kartunes and immediately was scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival they heard my complaints and we listed to several speakers and found some that would fit my needs and my budget. The installer (sorry I cannot remember his name) was great and fixed a connection with another speaker that had issues. Great service! I'll definitely be taking my other vehicle in for a new stereo deck when I get a chance.

Kartunes installed my Nexar dashcam I bought on line. I set an appointment and they installed it perfectly and within budget. Professional and reasonable work. Very highly recommended.

I would like to share my experience yesterday over at Kartunes , Seaside/Monterey, CA. My appointment was scheduled for 1pm. I received an email, txt and phone call around 11:30 from that nice lady (so terrible with names) letting me know that they’ve completed their prior appointment and that I may drive in at my convenience. Surely by 12 noon I have already arrived and signed the well explained work order agreement. (Driving around back to their installation station was pretty cool as an added note) Mr Tim greeted and professionally gave me the run down on what’s going to happen and to return in 2 hrs. So An hour and 10 minutes go by and I receive another email, txt and phone call letting me know the my CVPI is ready for pickup. I didn’t even finish my half eaten, over priced burrito from the corner bistro and hurried back to their fine electrical shop in which I received the the bill to pay and the receipt to keep. We then exchanged a few humorous catch phrases and I was a explained proper operational procedures for my new device and we said our goodbyes and I was out. I would like to apologize for not remembering her name and for not condensing this review. This was my experience with Kartunes.

On two separate occasions they had extremely rude service and treated me like I didn't know anything about car audio, and I have years of experience under my belt. Never going back and I don't recommend this place. Support another business or shop online.

I called Car tunes after being referred by two different lock places that couldn't help. My car clicker malfunctioned and car wouldn't start because alarm needed to be reset. My car was stuck in a parking lot. First they said booked two weeks out , then after hearing my dilemma of car being stuck in parking lot needed to reset alarm - they walked to me through how to do it! It worked - super super grateful! Very knowledgeable - thank you so much for helping even as busy as you guys were!

Scheduled an appointment, everything was performed on time! Had a couple issues during pickup but Tim squared everything away. Only reason for 4/5 is cause the speakers i had originally planned on getting were not available for my install date but Caren and Tim helped me pick out some great alternatives. Great customer service.

Not much to say about Kartunes except they deliver on their promises. I visited Tim and Karen a few times and we decided on what we were going to do. It was a more than average stereo install in my opinion. I was first told 4 days to install and tune. He beat that by a day. Showed up to see progress and he was nearly done so I got my vehicle a day early. The shop and showroom are well stocked and very clean. Tim is a wealth of knowledge in the car stereo industry. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to upgrade their existing stereo system.
