“Very lovely, no-frills traditional small family-owned shop with generous portions of fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices. I had leftovers for several days afterward. The service was great, and the people running the shop were sweet, kind, and very welcoming and attentive. I was just passing through Monterey on a long drive and stopped here for lunch, but if I lived there, I would support this business regularly.”
“So much savings on certain foods and produce! I had to quickly run to my local supermarket (Lucky) because it was just 1 item, and it's a bit closer. I picked up hillshire smoked sausage for about $6.50. Not sure if you can clearly see the price in the picture, but it's $2.26 at the commissary! I believe you get the biggest bang for your buck on meat at the commissary.
Also, you need to bring your own grocery bags. They have self service check out. Get store, easy parking, never really busy.”
“I want to give a shout out to Chris C. who in my opinion is an exemplary employee of the store. He is always in motion from stocking, bagging, chasing carts and organizing the shelves. He takes ownership in the store. There are many other stars at the store who are very kind and cheerful and engaging as well.
I do want to mention, which i have noticed, some of the employees do not give the customer the right of way. I believe they should stop and let the customer pass and not cut them off. Take a moment stop and say hello and let the customer pass and then go onto your duties. I think this will give a higher level of customer service. Thank you”

“I was visiting family here for Christmas, and in SJ one of my reps recommended this place. OMG!!!!! Ordered a turkey, swiss with all the fixings except pickles. The BEST sandwich I have ever had!!! I will be back for sure!”

“They have a lot of things from Mexico, specifically from Oaxaca, I like the medicine from Mexico that they have, the flowers are expensive, the water that is outside is cheaper than other places in general it is cool.”
“Seaside needed a market where the who's who could visit . A place to see AND to be seen . All one has to do is walk near this place to see the red carpet rolled out for the wealthiest folks of Seaside California. The real elite visit this place seemingly daily . If your a car fan you simply need to visit the parking lot to take in the large amount of Ferrari 's AMG Mercedes and more . That said they have something for you tech geeks as well. You will quickly notice that every one of the markets clientele possess the latest and greatest in high end smart phone and tablet technology. Ladies ! you haven't been forgotten. You can see the latest Prada Lou Vuitton and so on here ! Next time you leave your 9-5 dog tired and maybe able to take home half of what you made (why are taxes so high here ?) stop in to prime time nutrition for inspiration and to see how California's elite truly live. While you watch the never ending parade of fortunates you will find yourself day dreaming about a day you can see your family before dark . Alas it's but a dream . You must get back to work society's truly elite needs YOU !”
“You can get in and out quickly. Plus, their meat prices are awesome! It's perfect for buying in bulk but easier and quicker than Costco. And don't miss their yummy ready-to-eat rotisserie chicken. Staff is helpful, especially Manda up front.”
“Heard about this store on the radio for quite some time, I step in a couple of weeks ago, immediately impressed by the cleanliness, especially the clean bathrooms. The organization of merchandise, produce & pastries. THE DELI absolutely mouth-watering food, Everything looked delicious & was presented in such a clean and fresh manner. For me the two things stood out the most, The in-house food preparation by real cooks (unlike some places like Whole Foods that merely warm up food), and exceptionally friendly staff. Kudos to the manager for maintaining such a fantastic team and a special shoutout to the cashier who provided super-friendly service during checkout. My Torta de carnitas & fresh pressed Orange juice was delicious. Thank you guys”
