“The movers were very professional and did a great job. They kept me informed throughout the whole process. They had a lot of experience with moving furniture, which was nice because I had a lot of furniture to move. After the move, the movers were very helpful with getting everything out of my house into the storage space.”

“A relaxing day.Initially parking seemed like it was going to be a problem but there was plenty of space further in, away from the main parking area (which was full).”

“"A perfect getaway to enjoy with the family! The place is simply beautiful, with large green areas ideal for a picnic and outdoor activities. Plus, they are dog-friendly, which is great for pet lovers! However, the train ride didn't meet my expectations. The seating position makes it difficult to fully enjoy the scenery, and I ended up with a sore neck. I wouldn't recommend it especially if you have small children as they might get bored. Still, when the train ? arrives to the parking lot provides a great opportunity to capture gorgeous photos of the train. A mixed experience, but worth the visit for the natural surroundings and family fun!"”

“Staff was gracious and very helpful. Janice was a pleasure in interactions. The place has an unique history and fascinating architecture, with a Julia Morgan designed dormitory building, featuring a lovely courtyard and elegant banquet room, which accommodates very large groups, and also boasts a stage. The cabins are rustic, but updated, showing a few wrinkles consistent with their age! The Welcome Center appears to be a well thought-out modern building with a stylish dining room. The Redwood amphitheater is a hidden delight that was easily transformed into a wondrous forest glade, as a backdrop to the recitation of wedding vows. In all, the weekend spent at Green Mountain Retreat was a relaxed and incredibly positive experience. I would definitely return.”

“The Sesnon House is the perfect wedding venue! Our wedding was so beautiful and beyond our expectations. The staff are such warm and wonderful people. The venue comes with a wedding planner who knows the ins and outs so well. The culinary school with chef Jeremy provided great service and delicious food. We truly feel this venue was everything we ever wanted and it is very affordable especially when compared to other venues in the area. 10/10 recommend this for your wedding or event. They easily accommodated our party of 80 and had plenty of space for more.”

“I can't overstate how amazing our wedding at the Hollins House was. The staff at the Hollins House made every step of the process fun and exciting. My wife and I had an incredible experience that exceeded any and all of our expectations. The venue speaks for itself, but the food, service, and atmosphere match it step for step. If you're looking the absolute most picturesque and perfect wedding you could ever imagine, I would highly recommend considering the Hollins House. Read Less”

“FANTASTIC!
We had our son and his fiances rehearsal dinner here! It was such a beautiful location, the hosts were AMAZING, there were plenty of amenities to accomodate a group, and you cant beat the amazing redwoood trees. We felt so cared for by the attention to detail from the hosts and could not have asked for a better experience!”

“Attending my second "Santa Cruz Old Timers" luncheon held once a year since 1939. This just happened to be the 80th year it has been held, and, with a record attendance of 200. A low key meeting, luncheon and raffle without any dues, fees or other meetings the rest of the year. You need not be old to attend, just a resident of Santa Cruz County for 20 years, so a twenty year old born in the county may attend. Attendees are a mixture of regular citizens as well as Santa Cruz influentials and some politicians.”

“We had the most beautiful wedding ceremony and reception at Felton Guild this past Saturday. It was an absolute blast! The venue is gorgeous and the perfect size (we had a little under 70 guests). Kathy was extremely helpful and responsive throughout all the planning and had fantastic vendor recommendations. We hired everyone she suggested and it went so smoothly. I highly recommend Felton Guild!”

“Wonderful facility with all sorts of recreational facilities. Close to the town of Felton, and the cities of Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz. And close to mountain and beach recreation as well. Not to mention the outdoor amphitheater. Definitely coming back!”

“The Monarch Cove is set on a cliff in Capitola with an ocean view of the Pacific Ocean. We stayed in the Monarch Grove, a romantic getaway within 3 miles from the Shadowbrook, so you can take advantage of their free taxi service and get picked up in an old school Shadowbrook cab. I highly recommend this for a weekend getaway!”

“Seascape Resort has always been a destination with amazing views and unforgettable beaches, but now that we spent a week there in a condo, we noticed how much the entire place needs a face-lift. Sorry ownership group, but the 90s were a while ago, and you need to invest in the property. The condos are mostly private, so I can't comment on those. Food is meh at best. Asked the Sanderlings waitress for a croissant and a cup of tea, "No, sorry we don't offer that." Times are changing, and so should the resort.Walkability: You can't wait to walk on the beach, but the only other walking destination is across the street to the shops and restaurants.”

“Was shocked to see their rating on yelp so low; then again standards and expectations are different for everyone. With that said found booking cheaper through hotels own website than on booking.com. Booking was simple and quick pay on arrival and room selected was as advertised. Cost was reasonable when looking at comps in area. The hotel is extremely quaint and architecturally beautiful. Upon arrival receptionist Jessica was very friendly, professional & knowledgeable of hotel and surrounding attractions as well as accommodating. She had 2 rooms available under what I reserved, due to having young toddlers I asked if I could see both rooms and she was nice enough to show me both rooms. We decided on room 202 corner queen 2 beds ocean view, not on street level with only one neighbor/room next to us, with shared big patio. Room had modern design, huge shower with nice rain shower head. The stunning view from room is as advertised online; right across from the beach, wharf and boardwalk. & although being right across from beach & tourist attractions noise level wasn't bad at all plus quiet hours were respected by other guest during our stay. Hotel is pet friendly which is always nice. Close to local attractions and numerous restaurants. Overall great experience and hotel stay.”

“Went on a 2 night getaway to celebrate getting a leg cast off (recovering from a broken foot). Made my situation abundantly clear to front desk staff (before arrival and also day of arrival) and let them know we needed a first floor room.
Asked for a early check in multiple times (didn't get it) and when my hubby went to check in our room after 4pm (said we'd get a text for check in - we didnt) they gave us a second floor unit (almost as if they didn't read our reservation notes or previous employees didn't share information over the shift change). He had to go back and get another room.

I was on crutches / and using a mobility scooter for the entire trip. Though the resort itself was mostly handicapped accessible (electric lifts on the pool were awesome) none of the doors were automatic (except for the main lobby) which made entering & exiting buildings very cumbersome. Had a hard time getting into the spa check in area & the women's locker room was really hard to navigate on a scooter especially where the toilets are located.
Excellent service in the spa itself and maintenance people we saw day to day.
Room (903) was nice but carpet was coming up in corners and looked a little junky / also makeup mirror in bathroom was really rusted and should be changed out. Bed was comfy! Fridgerator was housed in a cabinet that hindered us from opening it up completely - kind of annoying.
Loved that this resort welcomed our pup and was very reasonable with regard to overall price.”

“Me and my husband stayed for two nights to get away, and had a fantastic time. Demetrio helped us at the fron and was wonderful! He was helpful with the reservation and anything we needed and we are so glad to have stayed where service was so great. Definitely will be back and will hopefully be greeted again by someone as helpful and kind as Demetrio!!!!”
