Great service. They helped us out with short notice doggy daycare while we were on vacation. Wonderful! We’ll definitely use the service again if we’re back in Santa Cruz!!

Took our very skittish German Shepherd to Paws to Play today to cut her nails for the first time, cause our vet increased their price. It was only $15, and Trinity, the groomer, was great! She was so gentle and sweet! Instead of using a muzzle when our dog got snappy out of anxiousness, she just used a cone to block our dog from seeing her nails being clipped and grinded! ❤️

Just got our dog Turtle groomed here by Trinity and we had a great experience. Trinity was so sweet with Turtle and did a great job with his haircut. Would highly recommend!

This is such a great facility. Our puppy can’t wait to play with his friends and their hours are great for working parents

I have been taking my dog here for almost 2 years. But things have changed in the last few months. Not only have they turned over staff, you never know who is taking care of your pet, but they are also untrustworthy. My dog was given many greenies in one day, causing her to get violently ill for several days and a $125 trip to the vet. No apologies were given. Today was the last straw!!!! I noticed several owners picking up and no one wearing masks and no cleaning surfaces. I asked if this was protocol and the kid told me they don't require. When I told him it is state law, he just looked blankly at me. I asked the owner to call me, still waiting.... Obviously they don't care about the health or wellbeing of pets or their customers.

We've been taking our dogs to Paws To Play for over four years now. We were referred by friends who have large and small Doodles that go there. We started with one dog. He is leash reactive. They worked with him to see if he'd fit in with the rest of the pack. The staff knows their stuff and now my dog can't wait to be there! We adopted a second dog a year later. He also is a shy dog and unsure. They worked with him, and I'm pretty sure he captured the owner's heart. She has googly eyes for him ;) They have a reception area, you sign in, and they take the dogs. Owners are not allowed in the dog area. This keeps the dogs calm. It becomes their house, so I can see where dogs that don't know you would react. So it makes sense that you're only allowed in the reception area. They also ask one person parent enter at a time to help keep dogs calm. Perfect for our dogs. This was before COVID pandemic! During pandemic, they implemented a really low risk policy. I feel safe and don't fear my dogs will bring home anything weird. I even take them when I don't have to. It's great for them! They're open 6:30-6:30. Every once in a while, traffic hits harder than expected and we've been 10 minutes or so late. Never chastised for it. Rates are good, and even better if you buy a bulk card. They have large and small dogs. I have zero bad things to say about them and am so grateful!

Cameron is wonderful with the dogs and pet parents. He is always welcoming to see you and your dog. Ray and Travis are great also. My dog was always happy to go to Paws to Play. It's the owner, Cindy that is the problem. After several months, I unfortunately felt it best to find another daycare for my girl.

Very impressed. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. I dropped my 6 month old Belgian Malinois off to get socialized with other dogs and guess what? It worked!!! He did great and it was all due to the staff and the friendly vibes of the whole place. I highly recommend this business if you need your dog watched or socialized.

Cameron and team are amazing! Our dog heads over there about 2/month and he is always greeted by name, so warmly! Our border collie is a little shy, but he seems to actually play (something he doesn't really do with dogs elsewhere). They show him so much love and are just such nice, friendly people in my experience. I truly believe that they really care about each and every dog. Great pricing too!
