With pandemic shortage and shipping issues, it's hard to find needed equipment. Josh went above and beyond to search for the freezers I need for my new store. I highly recommend Dvorson's for professional food service equipment.

We bought an American Range that came highly recommended by the staff at Dvorsons. We have since found that the range is defective (griddle was not properly assembled at the factory) and had a service technician verify that it is not repairable. Dvorsons is refusing to refund us and we are stuck in a constant back and forth with them. Please, take this review and other ones like it into consideration before buying with them.

Great local restaurant supply. Always friendly helpful service. I'd highly recommend to anyone who has outgrown Bed Bath Beyond and Sur la Table...

I hope this will be a helpful balance to the positive reviews received here. Fist we bought the NXR DRGB3001 from them. Delivered and installed, things seemed fine, until the thermostat on the oven sent temperatures sky high. While the warranty was clearly with the Duro Corp, and not Dvorson's, they couldn't get us handed-off fast enough to the handlers at Duro. We replaced the thermostat 3 separate times, each failing the simple test of holding consistent temperature. Instead, the oven ran wild up above 500 when set to 425, dropped to 375 instead of 400. Nightmare that eventually settled into a 25-50 degree difference from settings every time. Recently, when the Igniter went out, I bought the first unit marked as qualified for the DRGB3001 on the Dvorson's site. They sent me the unit, and I had Dave's Appliance come out for the installation. 5 min in the technician told me that the Igniter they sent me was clearly damaged. There was a chip out of the tungsten and it was visibly discolored, but that it should instead be smooth and seamless in material. When I pinged Dvorson's with the two specific issues mentioned above, Jena Hartman replied saying nothing to acknowledge the alleged damage/defects, instead focusing on the fact that I was SOL as such: 'You ordered an aftermarket igniter which will work. its takes cutting wire and adding the ceramic tips. The original igniter is 129.00 and its DVNX-GBXB. Our ignitors are a non return item as they are electronic.' Now, I can handle someone calling me d**** but to completely ignore the words I wrote. Damaged. Defective. Quality issues. And go straight to 'it should work'? Wow. So, to hell with any concerns you, Mr. Customer, might have about safety, value for money spent, even an offer to upgrade and pay the difference. Nothing. You are wrong, no returns, goodbye. Is THAT the level of customer service you want? 6 emails later, after sending photos of the damaged part, nothing. This place has a serious problem - they are not dishonest, just horrible at customer service. The worst.

We faced the daunting task of outfitting an entire kitchen -- from major appliances (a range, over, refrigerator, etc.) all the way down to cookware and all of the utensils you need to cook and bake. We returned to Dvorson's, who helped us through a smaller version of the same project in 2008, and I gotta say Josh and his team exceeded the already high bar for customer service and care they established from our last project. First of all, they have a deep understanding of the products they sell (you can tell they've been in business for 50+ years), so they can clearly articulate the value proposition offered by various products and bring into focus the features that differentiate one brand and model from another. That's incredibly important, and comforting, when you are making an investment in something that will essentially become a fixture in your kitchen for decades. Second, their prices are competitive ... which is very important when you are working on a big project. Third, they are extremely generous with their time, and they are incredibly personable and real (not to mention ... very funny). Josh spent so much time sharing his knowledge -- you just got the sense that he was personally invested in making sure we made decisions we'd be happy with, and he got a kick out of seeing our project actually come to life. He was invested in our success! :) Fourth, they went above and beyond in insuring all of the logistics around delivery and extended warranties, etc., were managed without a hitch. The follow up and accountability were exemplary. In this day and age, you rarely come across a business that can check all of these boxes. Too bad our project is over. We'll miss working with Dvorson's!

One of my best purchases ever has been my Dynasty gas grill. Got it in 2001. Dynasty has had a name change to Jade. Dvorson's has been critical to me keeping my grill working and looking like new. I have ordered burners, racks, knobs, and all have come with a minimum of hassle, and all have been correct. I live near the ocean and grill a lot. The combination is really hard on components. Having a place like Dvorson's where I can easily order parts is fantastic. I have taken pictures of parts and they have worked with that. Josh is great to work with. I'm looking forward to another 20 years of grilling with my Dynasty grill and Dvorson's!

For years, I have relied upon Josh Dvorson and his team for advice on kitchen appliances, large and small, and have never been disappointed in taking his/their advice. This ranges from knives and scissors, and microwave, to major 48" gas range, i.e., from $20 to $11,000. We are pleased with Dvorson's patience and goodwill, as well as sound advice, and board range of products.

I have a Wolf commercial gas range, which was purchsed in the early 80s, and I was faced with the option of buying new range for my home, or repairing the old range, which really needed help. After doing a search on the internet, I found Dvorson's, and needing more information than was available on their website, I made a call. Josh was helpful, told me where to find the model number, and emailed me a parts diagram. I was able to obtain everything I needed from them to restore my old gas range. For a lot less than the cost of a new range, I was able to give a new life to the old Wolf range. If you need parts for an old commercial range, give Dvirsons a try. You will not be disipointed.

Buyer beware. I had a negative experience with Dvorson's / Marin Restaurant Supply. I wound up ordering the wrong part and attempted to return it. The company said that they don't take returns, despite the return policy listed on their website.

I cannot speak for the local service, but will tell you NOT to buy a NXR products from these people or anyone else. I wish I had been offered an extended warranty for my 48" NXR "Professional" stove and burners when buying my oven range from Dvorsom's. You will need it once the one year warranty runs out. A horrible product. I have contacted them about the problems I am having and they tell me that this is something they hear about often. Door, the company that handles the NXR could care less and Dvorson's knows this. If that's the case why are they offering such a horrible product for sale?
