I have shopped at Barcelino for over 10 years and have purchased many items.I live close to the San Mateo store, yet ALWAYS visit the Sausalito store when in town. Yesterday, I WAS in beautiful Sausalito and Diana was working, as I had hoped. She showed me a wonderful lightweight, packable, jacket that she thought would look terrific on me. Honestly, I paused for a minute...and then zipped it up! She was 100% correct, and it did look great, and a style I hadn't seen before (which I appreciate, and always find in Barcelino!).I wore it to a wine tasting last night and received several compliments. I had a wonderful time shopping in Barcelona! Diana provided not only excellent service but great advice. She took the time to let me try a variety of styles and colors. I purchased several unique tops that I cannot find in other women’s stores. I had more fun shopping in Barcelona than I have had in a long time! Thank you, Diana!

I was in the store today and was so impressed with the salesperson Diana. She was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to find something suitable for me. Lots of clothing to choose from, good variety of sizes.

Full disclosure, I have the tea! Don’t shop here.Apparently, if you don’t shop at Barcelino , you are a fashion victim! Have you read all the convoluted messages that they have online?Example: “ cultured, elegance!” “ It’s a visual world! All eyes are on you, sharp leathers.”It sounds like a bad poem, written by a greedy businessman. With an outdated version of what “sexy” is.Barcelino is not a brand or a designer, they just collect clothes from random brands. This is a shoddy business, and not a fashion house. I was actually hired to work at the store, but I declined after their poor working conditions and terrible staff and even worse salary.Michelle the manager of the store, and Diana, the seller of the store, do not get along thus creating a tense retail experience. They candidly explained that they care more about their own commission than the well-being of the company. As typical sales people, they will pressure you, until you have to say “that’s enough!” I have seen it personally. If you try on one blouse, you will be pressured to try on every blouse for the sake of these desperate women’s commission, which the owner supports.This company is committed to pushing you into buying loud, outdated, tacky clothes selected by a man—a very old man, who has an outdated view of what a women should look like.THIS BRAND IS NOT Committed to gender neutral or trans aesthetics. They have a very outdated version of what femininity and a masculinity should look likeas you can see by their models and clothing. This is not a racial friendly or size friendly store. They only feature white models, in formfitting clothing. And that’s what they standby!You will not find anything in the store suiting anyone size 12, unless you wanna buy something custom, and pay, extra for tailoring, shipping, and manufacturing costs.They are not even part of the sausalito Chamber of Commerce. No one wants to shop at an outdated store with water damage broken mannikins, and pressured sales people. Stay away!

The most uncomfortable experience ever! My friend and I entered the store. They hovered over us to buy everything in sight. Very overwhelming experience when we simply wanted to browse and shop in a relaxed environment. I made an order which was going to have some turnaround time— over $1,000 worth, just to find out it went on sale 50%off just days earlier . When I asked if they would honor this discount since I had just missed it by a couple days; and I hadn’t even received my order yet, they wouldn’t help me in any way. They were extremely rude and disrespectful. One of the lady’s in corporate said I was abusive for persistently asking for them to Honor the 50% off. NO customer service! Beware of this scam of a store. How they treated me was horrible. I didn’t deserve to be treated that way and I will NEVER be back. Very sad representation of the beautiful Sausalito. Do not support this store!

I visited the store because I won a gift certificate at a school drawing, a very generous donation from the owners. From the website, I suspected that the clothing was not my style, which is of course not a negative, just a fact. Therefore, I've had the gift certificate lying around for a LONG time. I was a little uncomfortable as soon as I entered the store because the clothing was obviously not my style--too formal--I'm a casual mom who grew up here in Marin. My complaint is that I was followed around the entire store, up the stairs, down the stairs, EVERYWHERE. I'm one of these people that does not like assistance while I'm shopping, unless I ask for it, and I think my curt answers and body language made that perfectly clear. (Do you have a special event coming up? No. Do you live around here? Yes. What are looking for? Just looking! etc.) It became clear that I was going to have a shadow who not only followed behind me but tried to show me clothing of no interest to me and my brief, abrupt, non-descriptive responses were not going to stop the salesperson. Perhaps they experience a lot of shoplifters? I'd prefer that they asked me to leave my (very small) purse at the counter than follow me around. I'm not used to being treated with suspicion and it made me feel very angry--I can only imagine how people who experience it more regularly must feel. I'd give one star but I really can't complain about the clothing--it is what it is and I'm sure appeals to plenty of people. However, in order for me to find something of interest to purchase at the store, I was going to have to dig deep and I just couldn't bear doing it with a shadow.
