Sickest bikes and shop I’ve ever seen. Super friendly service- not that apssive aggresiveness youre used to at every SF shop. Vibes are immaculate, cutest dogs and they got me back riding in 3 minutes all for free. 10/10 will be back

The AC shop is a very cool place with amazing, beautiful bikes. I purchased a Factor Ostro VAM from AC. Julius was awesome. Super helpful. I learned a bunch of stuff in the process. They built up the bike beautifully with some personal touches. It was a great experience.

Starting rubbing noise came from a front derailleur (started within a week purchasing the bike) to a broken piece of campi front bigger cassette after 1.5years using the bike which cost $8,100!!
Very unfortunate buying a 2nd hand Mosaic bike from AC! Very disappointed!! Yet, we have not received built spec for this bike!!

AC is a must when I’m in the Bay Area. They always have incredible builds, a great selection of clothes, accessories, etc. Their mechanics also top notch. Chad and team are always warm and welcoming.

I had a 20 year old vintage titanium bike that I wanted to upgrade some of the components on. So I started my search on the Campagnolo website thinking I could do all the upgrades on my own. It soon became clear that I was in over my head and I ended up at Above Category. After several back and forth discussions (thank you so much to the AC team for their patience with my lack of cycling knowledge) I decided to forgo my current bike and build a new custom bike of my dreams.
I am a very small person so finding a bike to fit me has always been a challenge. In addition to the size, I had some unique requirements regarding the drivetrain and the weight of the bike. The team at Above Category were so knowledgeable and kind. They walked me through all my options and really listened to what kind of riding experience I wanted. The final product is amazing and better than what I ever could have imagined. I love my new bike and am so grateful to the entire Above Category team!

Had a flat tire and they informed me that they do not fix flats or sell any inner tubes. Never before have I seen a bike shop that doesn’t fix flats or sell tubes…

Flatted in Sausalito with my dynaplug kit in poor shape. Luckily Above Category had these in stock. Nicest staff gave me a hand ,got plugged and on my way. This shop has some of the most beautiful bikes, highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for a high end bike.

When confronted with noise in my drivetrain that I could not seem to silence (despite my best effort and two other shops’) on a brand new, ultra- pricey bike, I popped into AC after having lunch next door. Despite being busy, and the fact that I didn’t purchase the bike in their store, Chad, Kalara and Robert (mechanic) said they would take a look immediately. I was prepared to set an appointment. I had a coffee, and returned in 15 minutes to a wonderfully silent bike. Kalara and Chad and the crew at AC are more than just a bike shop. They’ve been a terrific addition to the Sausalito community, contributing far more to the culture than a store front. The service and the products there are truly Above Category.
