I'm unsure why others have had bad experiences here. I am caucasian & have never been mistreated here, never been asked to add a tip, nor have I been served expired food. The employees have actually been very nice and welcoming to me. I have gone here several times between 2021-2023 when passing through Saratoga. I usually get the koobideh kebab sandwich for $8. It's so filling that I can make it last two meals! The price is amazing for 2023 and being in the heart of Saratoga. I can't speak for the packaged products, as I have never bought any. Though, I have never seen anything expired in the store. Everything looks fresh. The ambiance could use a little work. The refrigerators look dated and run-down. The menu also looks quite old. As of Feb. 2023, Yelp reports they are closed and will re-open in April. Hopefully, they are upgrading their equipment and making it look more modern!

Stopped in for vegetarian lunch. The lentil soup looked good, but it has beef. So, I ordered a falafel plate. It was a generous portion; falafels not too dry, which often is the case unless they’re prepared fresh right on the spot. The plate tasted good and it’s healthy ? I tried the pre-packaged baklava, it was OK, but the phyllo was soggy and not crisp and crunchy. All-in-all, OK; I’ve been here a few years back and it’s an option for a quick, satisfying, and affordable meal.Vegetarian options: A few veg* options are available, but many dishes feature grilled or sautéed meats.

Stumbled upon this place by accident. The owner recommended the Bademjan: lamb shank and it was delicious! The meat was so tender and just fell off the bone. Very affordable prices for lunch. Definitely recommend trying their pomegranate ice cream!

Be careful with their fridge food specially if you are giving it to kids. We found the metal-paper vegetable wrap in their koko sabzi.

Great food for a very fair price. We got the chicken and beef kabob with rice, Grilled onions, and Tomatoes. Everything was super delicious. The chicken was very moist from the inside. The rice was just amazing in taste. I may go back just to get rice :-) We also got the Falfal wrap, which was quite tasty but could be better, if Lavash is grilled (to our taste :-) ) People in the store are very nice and helpful. Good place to sit outside and enjoy the Saratoga downtime vibe.

Good when you want a reasonably priced quick lunch. It has a market that I don't usually need to shopping but it's great when you're in a pinch.

This is my first yelp review, but I felt compelled to review this business. My husband and I ordered take out and this is the yogurt we received. We called the business to inform them and for them to make sure they take any other bad product of the shelf. The gentleman insisted that he has to see the item and was not apologetic at all. We did not eat any of the items we took home, because we are concerned with their food safety practices. This absolutely disgusting. If I could I would give them zero stars.

i got the koobideh kebab (which is ground beef) in a sandwich for a grand total of $8. it was super filling and flavorful! the sauce was deliciously creamy and the meat was nicely seasoned. the tomatoes inside were good quality too. it's a great casual lunch spot / for takeout! will definitely stop by again the next time i'm in downtown saratoga.

Standard Persian fare and decent quality. I don't see what all the complaints are about the prices esp for this area are amazing for what you get. No frills seating and service but it's a market, not a restaurant. Great find in Saratoga!

I used to eat at the Rose Market in Mountain View many times and I loved the food there. I happen to pass by their Saratoga location and I gave them a try. Here the chicken and tomatoes with rice was just okay… the two stars are for a stale baklava, that I was not able to eat. Moreover after I showed it to the server he brought me another one that was the same, except he tried to heat it a bit. So all the batch was stale/old and they should not put it on the shelf.

The kebabs here are good. The guy working counter wanted me to order in front of the kitchen area so he doesn't have to walk 10ft to give the guy the order. In America it is custom to pay for order first. People will assume they pay at cash register. He is SO RUDE. He uses a tonality like I am trying to haggle for a lower price, when I just want to buy their product/food and eat it.You have to ask for standard vegetables included(parsley/onion) ESPecially when it's to go.One time the food was put on my table and the Lavash is hanging over the plate touching the table.Youtube: American manners & customs.& Ego defense mechanisms too.Angry tone & PRESSURING => Less customers & money for you.Normal tone => more moneyI told him, sorry you are too rude and just left.Everyone is a product of their environment. The Kebabs are really good so 5 stars, but everything else...

Rose market is an iconic shop/restaurant in Saratoga down town. They have a wide variety of middle eastern food options, and on top of that, you can purchase imported products from the Middle East and other Asian countries such as different teas, candies, and other exotic foods not native to our region. They don’t understand American hospitality so don’t be surprised if they don’t give you too much help when you ask for it. I highly recommend you try the chicken thighs and saffron ice cream.
