The place is adorable but the staff were rude. Went in at Christmas. My husband and I were out galvanizing for the day. Every year we get Christmas ornaments, which is what drew me to the shop. I asked if they had any with the Saratoga name on them. One of the staff replied no. I shared my disappointment at that but kept searching when I caught her and another staff member whispering about me. I knew because I caught her off guard and could also hear the response. I would have loved to purchase our Christmas ornaments there, and many other items, but I don't support rudness.

This store is a treasure! My home is filled with so many beautiful tablecloths/napkins/runners/candles/napkin rings/candle wreaths, for all occasions. Raised my family daily with the fringed washable/no iron napkins since around 1980 (napkins no longer available I think). Do plan a visit here for holiday inspiration and very special table linens. Also many paper products and inspirations for setting up your home for the holidays. Hope we never lose this one! -Pam Perisho

My daughter and I absolutely love the Fat Robin and all that it has to offer. Their window displays are very magical, as are all of the displays of wonderful things to buy. Halloween and Christmas are our favorite times to shop. They have so many unique and expertly made items and sometimes take your breath away. I highly recommend this lovely shop.

I love traveling up to the Fat Robin/La Mesa Linens to browse for home decor. I always come out of the shop with a treasure in tow! Great source for ROOT brand candles and great tablescape items. They switch table designs, seasonally, and it's really hard to resist getting something new for our home. A great day-trip adventure to Saratoga for sure!

My wife & I was staying at the Saratoga Inn overnight & glanced at this charming gift shop with with it's wonderful fall displays, but the store was closed and we had to leave early in the morning. I had noticed two fall scarecrows & knew I had to have one. I called ten days later and the owner was wonderful enough to take a phone order & ship it UPS and guess what, I received it the following day. Thank you for the great service and for having such wonderful merchandise. I would highly reccommend you visit Fat Robin when in town.

Couldn't find it. Got in the downtown-Saratoga CA neighborhood by MAPS, but UPS store folks said go left and another merchant said go the other way. So I gave up and bought coffee and a sandwich to go at a nearby quite-visible Starbucks. Jay

The Fat Robin / La Mesa Linens offers tableware and kitchenware, gifts, other ends and odds. A bit older shop that's also a bit quirky, and thus a fun place to browse in search of that extra special something that's as unique as you are, looking for it. They offer awesome selection of goodies, cute cards, commemorative trinkets, and more. Table settings, glassware, linens, unique home decor, souvenirs - these are just a few of the categories here. If you have a party to attend, a gift basket from The Fat Robin maybe in order - grab it on your way to the event. If you're looking for gifts for your graduate, this might be just the right place. I also found out they have an e-commerce website, by the same name, though not quite sure how functional that is. The Fat Robin is the shop to visit in Saratoga, and parking is plentiful, too.

This is a gem of a store. You can find those unusual gifts along with everything to host the perfect party. You can get the most gorgeous tablecloths, dishes, and paper goods. Along with those nice items to fill those empty spaces in your house. Most items I have found here I have never seen before anywhere else.
