Not good. I guess this place is fine for coffee, but food is mediocre at best. It took forever for them to make the our sandwiches, around 25 minutes. These are really unremarkable sandwiches. The spicy chicken sandwich was SWIMMING in this weird creamy sauce. Half of it falling out of the sandwich. Other reviewers have pointed out that construction of these sandwiches are tragic. Sauce everywhere, everything falling out, the bread was comically small compared to the filling, probably just 2 inches long. My tomato slice was the end with the stem! Saratoga is such a nice area with great high end food, we expected a local cafe to be up to the same standards. Don't know how this place is in a business.

I came here with a group of 7 people on a Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend and I ordered the spicy breakfast burrito and the open breakfast. They took about 20-30 minutes to come out. Someone took my friend's meal and the staff said they would remake it- they eventually NEVER did. I didn't expect it to take so long, especially since they told us to wait for our name to be called. There is also very limited parking for the cafe itself. Street parking was full and we had to take our chances to park at another place. If it were my decision, I would have picked a different place to eat at. The workers stand around and chat (with their mask off) since only limited amount of people are allowed to work in the kitchen. The wait was not worth for the food. The burrito was dripping everywhere and I couldn't enjoy my food since we were getting attacked by flies & bees. My plate also was the saddest looking breakfast I've ever received from a breakfast place. There was a bed of a single lettuce leaf, one sliced piece of cheese, tomatoes, avocados, and literally one scrambled egg that wasn't even hot topped with three round pieces of bacon. The only good part about this cafe is that it's local.

Customer service is terrible. Guy at register not kind at all. Mochas took forever for two teen girls who looked completely confused on an espresso bar, to then make drinks not great at all, I just vomited when I got home, basically got food poisoning from this place. Feeling so sick. Youre product isn't good enough for you to be so short with people.

It's a nice coffee shop. However if you don't go to their website, you can't find the price of different item such as coffee, or baking dishes like the pie or sandwich on their menu boards, strange!

I appreciate that they're open later than other study spots. However, their food/drinks are kind of okay. Like, their coffee tastes kind of watery or something.

Uniqueness: Has plenty of unique latte flavors to choose from; A decent variety of quiches too! Wait Time: [x][x][x][x][ ] Coffee Quality: [x][x][x][ ][ ] Service: [x][x][x][x][x] Setting: [x][x][x][x][x] Recommendation? The customer flavored latte drinks may be a hit or miss at times so I'd stick to the simpler lattes, cappuccinos, or espressos for starter. Big Basin Cafe is located right in the middle of Downtown Saratoga, and is a popular spot for many locals to stop by for their morning coffee and snacks/brunch. They serve a variety of pastries and quite a lot of quiches when I stopped by but they looked like they might have been sitting out for a while on display. Their choice of coffee drinks consist of your espresso varieties (latte, cappuccino, shot) to standard drips in a variety of different beans. The lattes they serve here have a unique variety of other flavors as well, from Bourbon caramel to raspberry which are flavors that I'd never seen nor tried before. I decided to try the Bourbon Caramel latte and it was alright... not really distinct compared to a typical caramel latte so I'd stick with a caramel latte or just get a plain latte instead. The service here was nice and quick, and it was quite crowded as this spot is popular so the wait time was around 7 minutes (not a negative in my opinion). The inside is open for anyone to enjoy their drink inside but I believe they have considered social distancing so the tables were spaced out. Otherwise, there were plenty of tables to sit outside as well and enjoy the nice day outside. If you're wanting to avoid a particular mermaid chain of coffee, Big Basin Cafe is a good choice to stop by to grab a nice cup of coffee. I would avoid any of the flavored drinks as it's basically just a mixture of additional syrups into your drink but other than that, you will enjoy your other coffee and pastry/foods here. Would I give my recommendation to try this place? I'd give at least a first try if anything but not too exciting in my opinion. Perhaps when I stop by again and try their other coffee drinks, I'll reconsider coming here more often.

I would happily score them with a negative rating. This is a counter service establishment. Took our order which was four sandwiches. Thirty minutes later: nothing happening. These are simple turkey sandwiches and such. Finally we learned that they missed our order. Eventually got them. Not even a “sorry folks”. They must feel pretty entitled. Skip it.

Sandwiches are good but very pricey. It comes with boring tortilla chips to make an attempt as a side but no salsa is included. Who eats plane tortilla chips? The hybrid marsala tea was very good.

Nice little place, great location, nice patio, like the fact that they have some vegan options ( mostly pies ,avocado toast, bagels,etc)....took a star off for the bathroom and the waiting time for a simple avocado toast to arrive. Other than that, cool place to chill or study...ohh.. great wifi!

Food was OK. Confusing order process, they forgot to make our order, after 20 minutes we told them and they said they’d start now and it would be ready in 5 minutes. 10 minutes later still not ready. Asked again. 5 minutes later someone unceremoniously dumped two bags of food on our table and walked away. After everything nobody even offered to comp the meal or try to make things right. Won’t be going again.

Love it! Best Chai Latte (oat milk) ever. The food was amazing!

Convenient location for strolling the village and tasty decaf iced americano. Friendly young staff. I'd love to see them use a different syrup brand, and update their indoor seating to something more comfy.

I had been wanting to try Big Basin Cafe in Saratoga. I am a people person who looks for that in the places I go to. I liked the table and chairs set up inside and outside on the patio. It was a very good experience with Varsha and Micheal. I thought it was nice to say something about the Raiders because he was a fan. Varsha talked to me about her after high school plans. Then, Emily got me my Latte and she told me that she went to high school. I got to eat the perfect tasting Brownie with my Latte. Honestly, it's really great that the management hires young kids like Emily, Micheal and Varsha. They made it out to be a very nice experience, making me definitely want to come back here. My pen name is Rob. I am Greg, otherwise.

Really mediocre service, likely because the majority of the staff are high-school aged and have no social awareness. The young woman who took our order literally looked at us like we were committing a crime. Zero grace or charm. Also, their supposedly light-roast Saratoga Supreme coffee is over-roasted and quite bitter. Breakfast burrito was meh. Disappointing experience on many levels.

Ordered an avocado toast and it is literally a toast with 3 pieces of avocado on top. They also charge extra for the coffee mugs.
