“Tony (the father) was very kind, helpful, knowledgeable and full of stories. I bought an antique frame to add to my collection and hope to add more from the shop. Totally recommend.”
“My favorite vintage/antique store in the San Jose area. Very well-curated and each dealer has unique offerings. I always find something that has to come home with me when shopping there!”
“A treasure trove of curiosities from a slower time can help make a home unique. Their artful window displays will draw you in! They open late and are closed Mondays. I hope you find your one of kind here too!”
“I reviewed Workshop two years ago on Google Maps, but forgot to post it here. We had an old rocker shipped to California from our 2nd home in Colorado, and it was literally crushed by the movers, with a splintered back and the seat coming apart. I thought it was a total loss, but John repaired it so that it looks just like it did before. He even matched the weathered paint!”
“Sierra Toy Soldiers provides excellent availability of 54mm military miniatures, combined with excellent service and support; affording collectors a broad array of manufacturers and items for purchase. It's a family owned and operated business that employs helpful and knowledgeable staff that are hobby enthusiasts. For all the aforementioned reasons I would highly recommend this business without reservation. -Bill Cleary”
“This store contains great vintage furniture and home decor. It’s nothing like sorting through the Goodwill home goods section. As for the pricing, it’s a bit high but I can tell it’s worth it. There were several items that I would shell out $$$ for. I will return after some time to see what new pieces they have.”
“I was moving out of the area and I had 20 years worth of antique items that I loved but could not take with me. I met Carol at the Alameda Antique Fair and later visited her store to see if I could consign my collection. This was in 2019. Over the years, I've received several consignment checks for items she's sold for me. Today, February 6, 2023, I received another check. I am amazed at Carol's honesty. She told me when I left my things with her that she would pay me my share no matter how long it took to sell them and she is true to her word. I think anyone else would not have done so. Hats off to Carol and her wonderful store. She's my hero!”

1885 W San Carlos St, San Jose“Lots of old timey (looked to be mostly from the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s) stuff here, mostly jewelry, tools, and household goods but also appliances, books, and toys. Friendly staff, street parking, mask required.”
“Stopped at Boulder Greek on a road trip from LA to SF on 16th March 2024. Lovely little town and awesome little shop. Bought fluorite stones as souvenirs for my wife and daughter. Just $3 piece, you could easily charge like 5 times as much. Will visit again if I'm ever there again!”
“I visit Antiques Colony at least once every other month. I'd visit every week provided I had the time, but I don't. This huge building is smartly thought out. Many different sellers have creative spaces. With so much to see I usually visit with a short list of items I'm looking to buy. Even if I don't find what I'm looking for, one of the dealers will offer information where it might be found. Sellers are the very best in information, just ask. The spaces are usually planned out well, but there are a few so full of merchandise it's a little difficult getting around But this is rare, the owners are excellent in a clean store, plus they are pleasant to talk to. There is usually one on the premises during store hours. Antiques Colony has a website with easy access. Spend a few hours or all day shopping, I promise you will ENJOY the visit.”
“This was definitely a really cool place to visit, Carol her self was super friendly and this shop has some of the most stunning pieces I've seen. Happy to add these beauties to my collection.”
