“Been clearing out my storage and this is a great store to donate too..Things need to be nice like I would buy but they take everything and don't turn you away because they dont have room to take stuff like one of other stores did to me recently. Staff is fast efficient friendly and polite. To buy things.... prices are very reasonable and lots of variety of items with a fair amount of furniture.”

“After a couple times playing pickleball at Lindo Lake park in Lakeside, the good folks told me I could get free lessons at Red Shield, El Cajon. The place is new is clean! I remember it being built just a few years ago but didn't know it was a recreation center. Signing up was easy, and was promptly instructed to do practice drills. Within 15 minutes, I was playing doubles with other newbies. Then was told to go to the middle court to learn next level instructions. I learned a lot today from the three instructors and met friendly people too! Excited to keep advancing so I signed up for next Thursday's lesson.”
“First time in the store. Super cute store. Easy to find. We found some great gems. It was my friend's daughter birthday. The staff was super friendly and excited we were celebrating a birthday. Birthday girl got 20% discount. The clothes are priced well. Very clean and organized. I'm so happy we found this place. We will definitely return to buy and make donations.”

“There is A lot of stuff here almost too much in fact. however they have great prices and a lot of different things, probably something for everybody. doesn't always smell great in her though kind of smells funky sometimes. The woman who runs it is a white lady who is kind of aggressive and loud and very bossy/rude. I really wasn't impressed with the way that she treated her employees in front of me and others. Overall the parking is horrible good luck finding a spit looks like I guess but the drive may be worth it if you can stand to go through a Tennis stuff and kind of be overwhelmed by the amount of items that are everywhere. doesn't seem very organized and I wish that it was organized better where you could actually see things that you might want to buy. they do have a lot of different things it's a pretty cool store overall and the regular employees are pretty nice.”

“The BEST thrift store in San Diego!! Family owned and ran, none of it is donated. It all comes from estate sales, storage locker auctions, or going out of business sales so the quality of items tends to be much better than other thrift stores. Lisa is a wonderful person who is so kind and welcoming. You need to check this place out!”
“I usually don’t post reviews BUT I saw some bad reviews on here and wanted to say that this has been the best thrift store I’ve been too!! The vintage selection is top notch, great name brands for a reasonable price. The staff are very kind and will help you if you need it. The dressing room has amazing lighting. Overall, 10/10 experience and I’ll definitely be shopping here, hopefully I’ll get my hands on a vintage niner jacket lol!! :)”

“Penny is the sweet blonde gal who has run this shop for at least the last decade. I have come here at least that long. It is one of my Thrifting Honey-Holes. I always find something here, especially women's clothing. It's very nice to come to here and get a nice little pick-me-up sometimes for a good deal. I like their prices. I am glad they have the 50% off sales they do, thanks guys. Good people run this store.”

“I don't know what it is with San Diego thrift stores or if it's just California. What is with the pricing!! It's ridiculous. This is the only store that has nice quality and thrift store priced items. Closest store I've found to a *GEM*. Definitely come to this store so many good things. Still a bit on the pricey side but not too bad.”
“This classic old-fashioned thrift store that doesn't put on any airs,
yet it is always clean, safe, and pleasant to shop in.
Furnitre and kitchenware options are usually pretty great here.
Clothing is plenty and well priced, too.
There are always TVs and some kind of big exercise equipment, too.
If you are out thrift shopping in El Cajon, this is a GREAT place to drop in on!”

“It's a Goodwill. It's a small store but it is very well kept and clean. The staff are hit or miss in friendliness but hey, it's a Goodwill. They do have a great theft prevention policy, stand at the counter and yell "you're not welcome here!" but hey, it's a Goodwill. It's nice that it's not surrounded by crackheads but every now and then one will ask you to buy them an entire outfit, but hey, it's a Goodwill. For its size it has a good selection of everything and offers a good way to spend some time as you cruise through lovely downtown La Mesa.”

“The manager is lovely. They have such compassion. In a quick move I got rid of alot of my Pyrex from decades ago. I thought my stuff was going into storage. I'm a senior and it was my mom's stuff. It is like they wre waiting for me. Same time period Pyrex. Even that changes. I got my history back and I've started to cook again and I needed it. What a blessing. A very put together store. Clean, orderly, and parking.”

“I have visited this store several times and have found some good items. I would say that the toys and books are very inexpensive, however, the clothing is a bit expensive considering the fact that you could get new clothes at other stores for the same price or less, nevertheless I recommend shopping here if you want to find unique pieces. As for the the donating process, it is fairly easy, but I will say some of the employees working there are a bit rude. I just donated some things earlier today and the older lady that helped me was very negative and seemed bothered by every question I asked, she definitely needs to be more nice because her attitude discourages people from going there.”
