Been clearing out my storage and this is a great store to donate too..Things need to be nice like I would buy but they take everything and don't turn you away because they dont have room to take stuff like one of other stores did to me recently. Staff is fast efficient friendly and polite. To buy things.... prices are very reasonable and lots of variety of items with a fair amount of furniture.

This is one of my favorite locations in San Diego. Great place for books, jeans and dresses. Around Halloweenthey always have a large selection of kids and adult costumes.

I came in to donate some clothes and a reclining chair on Friday afternoon. The retail store was very busy and parking was a mess. A donation truck was partially blocking the donation entrance on Olive Ln, so I entered from Mission Gorge. As soon as I pulled around to the donation center, a big burly guy who was loading the truck started giving me dirty looks and gesturing to his coworker while pointing to my truck. The other donation center worker directed me to park in an unloading zone where he examined the chair for donation and decided it was good enough to donate. We offloaded the chair and the burly guy came stomping over yelling that the chair was garbage and they should not have accepted it. Continued to shout at me and the employees that it was just going in the trash. I stopped him and told him that if they couldn't use it to just put it back in my truck, which he then yelled at the employees to do. I asked the employees if he was the boss. He was not. He was the donation truck driver.Honestly, if they couldn't use the chair, that was fine, but a polite "sorry, but the chair isn't in a condition that we can use. Thanks for coming in." would have at least showed a little gratitude for my effort. The man was beyond rude and obnoxious, and should try another line of work. I won't be donating to Goodwill in the future. The Salvation Army store on Cuyamaca thought the chair was fine, and took it without hesitation.

It was very disorganized and things were everywhere. Hard to navigate through.

I went and bought 6 items, only 2 fit so I was thinking okay cool I can just go exchange since you could during COVID. Called to double check before pulling into parking lot and I was speaking to Jennifer over the phone. Not only did she not to speak to me like I was a total dumbass when I asked if I can make an exchange, she spoke over me and said "The Bottom of the receipt says no returns/no refunds" and all I said was well, refunds and exchange do not mean the same thing. I've been shopping there for about 10 years but I don't think I will if they let people be rude to others. Just remember, Jennifer said there's no reason for exchanges they have fitting rooms. I hope she has the day she deserves

I've donated several times before, but today was my first time actually shopping there. I brought my toddler with me too. The store had a good selection of items.I'm not too familiar with the pricing, but I did get this for $5.99 sealed and brand new! There was another frame I had saved, but my toddler accidentally slipped it through the shopping cart and it cracked. I approached a worker thinking I'd need to pay, but this gentleman was super sweet and said that's ok and he hoped my toddler was okay.Overall great customer service!!!PS: I also got a cute dress there. If you are looking for some nice dresses, Goodwill is a good place to start ?

Pretty disappointed in this location. I bought an electronic and even tested it in store. When I got home I realized that the touch screen feature didn't work. I've bought electronics in the past and was able to return within 24 hours if there was any issues but I called to confirm I was able to and they told me that they stopped doing that a few months back. Checked on Goodwill of Southern Cal and they have a completely different policy (are able to exchange for store credit). . Apparently San Diego has a different return/exchange policy?? Couldn't find anything on the website after going back and forth on the phone. Sad to say i probably won't be shopping here anymore. Prices are ridiculously high so you're really just in luck when you find something that is too good to be true (unfortunately my case) Either way, it's sad to see a thrift store take advantage of customers this way. There should be a big sign all over electronics that states everything is final sale. I know I won't be the first or last to have to deal with faulty electronics and being stuck with the crap after you realize you just got ripped off.

Okay, some things cost more than ordering off of eBay. I prefer other thrift stores, but you can find some good stuff here.
