“We inherited a classic 1972 vehicle that was a complete mess.Spaghetti wiring, no functioning lights or gauges of any kind.Seats were held together with duct tape.Foot pedals broken, gas tank not attached.I could go on but you get the picture.The staff at auto works spun their magic and was able to turn our beast if burden into one of the coolest vehicles trolling the beach area.One stop shopping with qualified employees doing the work was not only convenient but saved time and $ that would likely have been spent dragging the vehicle all over San Diego for the electrical, upholstery, fabrication and body work.Highly recommend this business if you want good quality and to frame a shared vision of what you really want your vehicle to look like when you’re ready to drive off”

“I took my Tahoe here on the Google reviews alone, and all I can say is they live up to those reviews. They lady I spoke to on the phone when making the appointment made me feel like they really cared about customers. I needed to get my AFM or DOD turned off so I can drive my truck and not worry about it going into V4 mode anymore and I don't have the money to do a full delete so the fact that they use HP Tuner and could turn it off is a huge plus for me. They were super friendly and did everything I wanted (I totally forgot to ask if they could correct my speedo due to 35 inch tires) and did it faster than they said. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks and hopefully will go back when ready to do the full delete. They even have this cool app they text you, so all information is on your phone! The techs were polite and had my truck up front waiting when done. Thank you for the outstanding service. My vehicle feels way better to drive now. I'm am more than pleased with the service they provided me!”

“My check-engine-light came on yesterday so I brought it to Firestone and they did a complementary OBD scan and I got the code. I was hoping to have my car available to drive in two days because I was going to drive others on a long car ride. I checked out this Honda service center, saw the great reviews about Steve, and brought it in first thing in the morning at 7am. I met Steve who was personable, friendly, and clear. He let me know that they could be able to have the car looked at soon, the cost of the diagnosis ($190), and that the cost could go towards any necessary repairs. After leaving my keys I had some of the delicious complementary coffee machine and left to go to work. Steve and I called a few hours later and he let me know that their technician did scans and tests and drove the car and didn't find any issues but recommended a coolant replacement if the light came up in the future. He explained that the cost of the replacement would be about $200 but he would half the price of the diagnostic to $90 to be about $300 total, saving me $100. I was confused because I thought the $190 diagnostic fee would go towards the $200 repair so that I would only pay $10 extra, but that wasn't the case. When I went in later, Steve apologized for the confusion and reduced the $190 diagnostic fee which I appreciated. He answered some more questions I had with helpful explanations. At the end when I was to sign my signature and pay, I asked for time to read the fine-print because I try to be careful with what I sign, and I think I held-up his work but he let me have time to read it and sign. The diagnostic report he gave me included a helpful photo of a power-steering leak I didn't know I had and also a Carfax report containing history about my car which I didn't know about.”

“A few days ago I jumped in my suburban, started it up, put it in gear and it didn't want to go forward and didn't want to go reverse so put it in park and began a search for "near me". So I found advanced automatic transmissions online Called and Ian picked up the phone. Ian the owner. I explained to him before that I said I said something and I was going in the wrong direction so he gingerly stopped me and he said just tell me what happened And what it's doing. I explained to him what was going on and he told me what might be wrong right down the list. 60 seconds into the conversation I felt like it was about 50 years ago and I was talking to a service person who was going to give proper service. He knows how to talk to a customer so a customer understands. Even if I wasn't living around the Santee area, I would probably have my suburban flatbed to where he is working and have it worked on if it ever needed to be worked on. Incidentally, what he told me it couldn't have been more right on, so give Ian a shot. He'll take good care of you.”
