They didn't have time to see our sick cat who they saw and vaccinated last October. He seemed fine until that visit then got progressively sicker. They.re also pretty expensive. Not impressed. Despite their reaching out to this review, I'm afraid I will not do so as our cat passed away.

At my last visit the doc examined my dogs foot and couldn't find anything wrong. She recommended an X-ray but didn't explain the costs of the procedure for my dogs sore foot. She went ahead and X-rayed my pups foot and I was given a bill of $602.00 to find out nothing was wrong with my pup. Possibly a soft tissue injury. The next day my dog was fine, not favoring the sore foot and I was out $604 and then they forgot to give me my senior discount. I went back the next day and asked the gal at the desk to have the vet call me and explained no other vet in their service went ahead with their recommendations without letting me know the fees.If I had only waited a day to see if my dog was better I would have saved $604.

They were good at communicating logistics and medical information. The place was clean and pet friendly. I felt the vet was knowledgeable and supportive. The only reason I removed 1 star is that they are expensive.

I had to have my cat euthanized, so I brought him to the vca petcare west on Fulton. I was then given the option to have his ashes back by doing a private cremation or to have him cremated with other animals and not get his remains back. I chose to get it done privately so I could have his ashes. Three days later I called to ask if they still had his body as I had thought I wanted to bury him instead. But the woman that answered the phone told me that his remains were already back. I picked up the box, but after getting home and thinking back on what they'd told me the system was, it seemed weird that they would have his ashes so quickly. I was told it would take up to three weeks. So I called, and on three separate phone calls I was told it would be two to three weeks and getting his ashes back in three days was impossible. So who's ashes did they give me? DONT TRUST THÈSE PEOPLE WITH YOUR PETS. They're all in it for the money not because they care about animals. The woman that came to take my cat away to be put down was smiling when she grabbed him. I think there are some truly sick individuals working there. Like nurses that get into the hospital field in order to have access to victims they can hurt or kill without getting caught, there are sick people in every field. I'm quite sure some sick people become vets because animals can't tell anyone if they're abused. They want access to mute victims. Believe me, there really are that level of sick people out there. And right in our town.

I have three cats, one of them aging rapidly, and the care, attention and compassion for my precious kitty has been outstanding. I also have a very active and ornery baby kitty who has gotten the preventative services and care she needs. My third kitty, Mother Abigail, is too busy sleeping in the sun to care, but Northtown cares. I'm so grateful Dr LaMar and her team have cared for us for 10 years. Not one complaint.

My 13 yr old dog was in a bad way. It was the end. I called that morning and they found an appointment for me that day. They brought her in with tremendous care. They put my in a room with a dog bed on the floor and they helped her to the end while I sat with her. I do not see how they could have done anything better. I am grateful.

We took our puggle Molly to VCA Westside for years. Molly was 15.5 years old when she recently died from cancer. Throughout the years we received excellent care from Dr. Castellanos and Dr. Gillum. Both veterinarians were extremely knowledge and took the time to listen. The front desk staff and technicians were caring and helpful. We thank VCA Westside for their dedication to the dogs and cats that they serve.

Horrible treatment. These people should not be working with animals or their owners. I called needing to have my cat put down ASAP. The lady who answered the phone said the dr has a full schedule today. I asked if he could squeeze it in as I live literally next door to the facility , my vehicle is in the shop, and my cat is in pain. She said she could ask the dr but to be aware that that “there would be a $150 quality of life check, than the euthanasia would cost…..” I hung up the phone. Unbelievable.

I have been taking my dog here his whole life (10 years old now). He had an injury so I called to schedule appointment & they couldn’t get him in for an entire month! I asked what to do to care for him & was directed to their app and told to ask on the chat. I did that and was told to lock him in a bathroom to keep him off the leg until his appointment. This blew my mind…that was seriously the advice?? Lock him in a bathroom for a month?! I took him to emergency care at another vet. After a 5hr wait and $500, was given anti-inflammatory medication that worked wonders. I canceled his next appointment & am currently looking for a new vet! If you want your hurt dog seen, don’t go here!!

The worst, most rude and disrespectful women at the front desk. I would never go back, or recommend them to anyone. Horrible rude treatment, horrible service, overpriced and extortion.

not good across the board. the women who was taking my information was so rude and condesending. They would not allow me into the clinic with out a mask, so I had to wait in my car. The staff were rude and abusive towards me, and treated me like I was some sort of suspect. The bill for the vet service was outragous. It was unethical. On top of that, when the second portion of the bill was proposed, and I was unable to pay, vet suggested I created a "go fund me" or that " some pets just dont make it". this is an awful place. I ended up going to another vet. Please avoid VCA off guerenville rd at all costs. The women who work there are terrbile.
