“Ive been going to romans transmission for at least two years now and all my experience have been great! My jeep is at 270,000 mile so i know i have to replace and maintain a-lot on my vehicle. Romans is the only place i trust and the only place I’ll go to for vehicle repairs! I have had two incidents where i was unable to drive my vehicle due to possible damaging my car more and Romans was able to get my car in and out pretty fast. Im not very knowledgeable on cars but when going over the repairs they are able to explain what is wrong and why something needs to be replaced. “No one likes getting the dreaded smog test needed on their yearly registration but Car Clinic made getting a smog a total breeze. They were able to get me in within 20 minutes of calling and I was thrilled to find out that I didn’t even have to get out of the car while it was being done. “Had a vibration in my 2016 f150 at 138k miles. Ford and Tranco were both happy to sell me a rebuilt transmission at $9k. They charged a diagnostic fee. After 3 people recommended Santa Rosa hydromatic, I spoke with steve who said to come by and he wouldn’t charge me for going for a drive and getting his opinion. A little trust earned. He recommended a transmission service and said the service may not resolve all of the vibrations but it would last at least a year. More honesty. I scheduled the service and every bit of vibration is gone. This is everything you want from a business and so rarely find. I will never go anywhere else.”

“I got stuck midway through a road trip from NorCal to SoCal. The first shop I was towed to I felt very uneasy about and didn't have a great experience including being charged a ridiculous amount (after looking up estimated costs of repair). I spent hours there before they quickly told me I'd have to wait another day up to a week for repair.
I found North Bay through a Google search and discovered they stayed open a couple hours later. Sergio was very helpful, ordered the part for me, and committed to getting me back on the road for a fraction of the cost.

“I went to 5 or 6 places looking for a compact spare tire, and everyone just said "we don't carry those" until the kind people at Kings, who quickly offered to find and order one for me, and the price was so much better than I expected. “I went in to have a clunking noise when shifting my automatic x'mission from drive to reverse or neutral to drive vise versa,they diagnose the problem as a bad u joints,I was told the transmission pan is leaking thus they recommended a transmission service as well as an engine tune up by which includes tune up diagnostics.i gave approval to all their recommendations by which it cost 2,300.dollars.they informed me all parts including the transmission fluid were all from NAPA auto parts store thus all OEM( original factory parts).I drove the 1973 dodge van only a few miles later,the transmission clunking noise never got fixed and the reverse gear went out.they are supposedly transmission specialist,they should had found evidence of metal wear in the pan when they did a transmission fluid change but they didnt,didn't, they are so insistent in doing an engine tune up when I didn't even requested one.
I think this is the whats going on:santa rosa transmission does not rebuild transmissions,they outsource the job,the whole time I went to check the status of my van,they were constantly shipping out big crates,the only in-house maintenance that they do is not even related to transmissions.just my opinion based on what I saw.”
