We have two Subarus. We like the very courteous, frank, and helpful discussions with the staff. Their work has been great. We travel 45 minutes north to get our cars serviced at Tillett's in spite of much closer shops we have used for service in the past.

I’m a European Automotive Technician my friend brought their Subaru to this place. It needed the head gaskets replaced. The estimate they gave was very close to $17,000 to replace/rebuild basically everything under the hood. 12month 12,000 mile warranty haha!
Whoever wrote that estimate should be ashamed of themselves. Honestly it’s an older Subaru and they could buy a newer one with low miles and a warranty for less than $17,000
I read and reread the invoice several times in disbelief. Based solely on that, I would avoid this place at all costs.
Used motors from Japan importers with around 50-60k mileage cost $1500 or less and come complete. Also with a 12month warranty! What a joke

I've been going to Tillet's for 17 years. They've seen me through the care of a geriatric Subaru and now a 5-year old one. I appreciate the helpful and knowledgeable people at Tillet's and the ease of bringing my car in for work--for longer jobs, you can get a loaner and for shorter jobs (oil change, etc.) you can walk to Dierk's Parkside Cafe and get a good meal (and a walk in!).

Best place to take your Subaru. Nice people doing great work on Subaru 's. And you can get a FREE loaner. This "Bru" is my second and Subieboo is super happy to go to TL TILLETS!

The guys at TL Tillets helped me solve my Subaru's battery discharging problem, and didn't charge me for the diagnosis. I appreciate that kind of help! (It turned out to be user error, but that was a relief.)

Tillett's was professional and extremely helpful in a difficult situation -- our 2006 Forester died completely. Wesley, among others at Tillett's, bent over backwards to see us through. I highly recommend them for their service (they were our regular shop for the Subaru) and custom care.

I trust Tillett's so so much—though I'm fairly recently getting to know them. I bought a used car from them. It had (I discovered a couple days later) a couple issues. I brought that to their attention and presto-chango they immediately addressed all of them (including one they didn't have to address). I live in San José, but I'll take my Forester to Santa Rosa so that Tillett's can service it.

The only regret I have about purchasing a 2022 Kia, is not being able to get it serviced by Tillet's. After 12 years and 266,000 miles, including pulling a 2700lb trailer, our Outback required more attention than we wanted to undertake. Tillet's was always fair and helpful to us, including taking charges caused by miscommunications off of invoices. It is out of character for me to so heartily and publicly recommend a product or service. Great job, Tillets
