I've had dogs for 50 years and never boarded them so I was reluctant to go anywhere. I looked at a bunch of places and Taylor Mountain is definitely the best place to go. They're out in the country -they seem to love it.my pup came home tired but happy. I know he was well cared for.Even got a bath and nail trim. I am so appreciative to have found a place like this.. Kelly even sent me a videos and text messages just very on top of it. I highly recommend Taylor Mountain.

I was so happy to find this place. First of all they answer their phones. They talk with you and not force you to text and email. They met with me and my dog immediately. My dog stayed with them for the day and was approved. They also had space for us over the holidays. Next I can tell you this place is clean. The yards are large and spacious. They match the dogs up with each other for compatibility. The place is a nice countryside setting.

Taylor Mountain Canine Retreat is absolutely the best! From day one they have been incredibly professional and I never worry about Riley being in their care. They go above and beyond to make sure your pup is comfortable, happy, and loved. The camp notes for longer stays with the dog treat is such an amazing touch. I have never felt better about living my fur child with a boarding facility; highly recommend!

My dogs are family to me and their is no other place that I would trust with my guys then Taylor Mountain Canine Retreat. They love what they do and are the very best at it. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would. We cannot say enough amazing things about TMCR. Our dogs go for weekly overnights and when we are on vacations. Melissa, Tracy and all of the staff treat our pups as if they were their own family members. They keep us updated on their stays and it is so much fun following the on Instagram to see what they are doing throughout the day. If our fur babies can't be home with us, TMCR is the next best thing!

Taylor Mountain is an exceptional dog boarding facility. My pup was well taken care of during his stay. The staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean and safe. And it being out in the country side makes for a nice getaway for my pup to enjoy the fenced in outdoor play yard. I highly recommend and would book with them again.

Taylor Mountain is amazing - their attention to the dogs' needs and care is really exceptional. My pup was previously stray and then a long-time shelter resident, new places and situations can be scary for her. But she comes home from TMCR happy, relaxed, and bursting with health from the playtime. The dogs are clearly all well-assessed and playgroups are organized expertly as she picks up no new habits or fears, just lots of wags and readiness to play. TMCR is truly a home away from home for my girl and we are lucky to have found them!

We’ve gone to Taylor Mountain for 2 years now and can’t express enough how this place is the absolute best. It’s our dog’s favorite place to go. He’s a dogs dog and hasn’t always trusted people. These folks work so well with him despite that being challenging sometimes. They limit the number of dogs they have so each dog gets real attention - your dog isn’t 1 in 100 like most other places. They also let dogs be dogs - they’re allowed to chill or play all day as they like and that was a must for us. I can’t recommend Melissa, Tracy, and the crew at Taylor Mountain enough for dog boarding. Trust me, this is where you want to go if your dog is your kid like ours is to us.

Can't recommend this place enough. We've been taking our dog here for several years now, initially for day care and now boarding since they've gone boarding only. Melissa, Tracy, and the staff truly care about the dogs and giving them the best experience. We chose TMCR for several reasons. They let the dogs play or chill as they please all day - many local spots limit that time and kennel them. That's not what we wanted. They also only take a restricted amount of dogs so that they each get attention and care. I didn't want him going somewhere with 100/130 dogs a day like most other spots for all possible reasons. I can't recommend TMCR enough. It's our dogs favorite place and we're so thankful for them!

Please note that this facility is not truly an "all day play" facility. Did research for my high energy dog who does not do forced naps before driving 45 minutes and dropping her off because the website said "all day play." Upon picking up from the assessment, they said my dog did not want to settle down during the forced nap period and maybe next time she could be in the adjacent barn by herself. Not great for a dog with separation anxiety. When mentioned the wording on the website, they said they have to do that because the gravel gets hot. Never came back.

Referred by a friend of mine. Made several attempts by phone to inquire about availability and the potential for a day trip. After leaving several messages and never receiving a call back, we made alternate boarding arrangements for our pup. Quite disappointing.

This place is the best!!!! Dogs have been an important part of my life as i have done national rescue and raised dogs for cci.org and i look high and low for someplace that is caring, clean, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond what is required. Here they make a point to know each dogs needs and desires and serves to make each pet feel very special. I was recently gone for 3 weeks out of country and they so kindly sent me pictures and told me about my boys besties and how he was doing. i can't tell you what that means when you are halfway around the world! thank you Taylor Mountain!!! Formerly Anderson's kennel. My Labradors are in for a 4 night stay while I'm on a far away quick vacation.I toured the kennel and met the delightful staff. All dogs are temperament assessed before being qualified as welcome guests. That was obvious as I toured and saw a few dozen dogs who all seemed friendly and cooperative.I was a Tappen Hill dog boarding facility faithful customer for more than a decade. But decided to switch loyalty to Taylor Mountain because Tappen Hill boarding rates have become way too high to the point that I couldn't afford it.I'll again review this place when I get my dogs back next week.

Leaving our dog for an extended amount of time is never easy but we felt great with the love and attention she got at Taylor Mountain! The team was great and so patient with my check in texts!
