The staff morning to afternoon on 07/01/24 were unprofessional and completely out of line. No one deserves to be talked down to and treated in such an ugly way. I’m not sure what type of behavior management is allowing, but it seems multiple others had a negative experience in the past few months similar to my own. Such a shame, from such a beautiful store. I will sadly have to avoid this location. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with the associates being rude and demeaning, however today was the last straw for me.

I am always wowed by the displays and great selection at this store! Today I needed one specific item and the staff was friendly and efficient in pointing me in the right direction. But I still snuck a peek at the colorful linens and well presented spring/summer serving options!

Thank you, Bonnie for losing us as a customer for life! Walked in with a $29 item that we needed to return without a receipt. I was told, like a child, “new company ownership, No returns without a receipt”. Pretty much before I could even get the words out of my mouth. Rude it’s the only word I can use to describe her! I love that you employ elderly women. I’m all about DEI! But when it damages, your customer experience detrimentally, it’s a bad mistake. Bonnie needs to have her hand slapped and that she shouldn’t treat customers so poorly. You have officially lost a customer in this location! Our product that we wanted to return still had the original packaging and sticker that it came from your store. But she was quick to jump down my throat and explain, it could not be returned without a receipt. How about a little humility and feel for who is now screwed based on your new policy

Very deceitful company. Make sure to read all the fine print before buying anything from them.

I’ve been shopping here off and on for years, but will never return. If I could give zero stars for a rating, I would do so. Made a purchase last week of a SEALED-with-plastic container of colored sprinkles at an exorbitant price of $10-plus-tax (for less than 3 ounces) to decorate a cake- only to discover that I already possessed 2 containers at home. When I went in today to return that still-sealed container with receipt in hand, was told that this was a ‘food’ item and couldn’t be returned. Seriously?! Take me off uour customer list, Sur La Table. Your customer service is deplorable. And your items are way over-priced anyway!

Cooking classes are fun. But be sure to check the warranty on any cookware you buy from them. If it's less than a year, it's probably garbage.

My partner and i had thought of visiting sur la table in hopes that our search for a long lasting, durable saute pan would end. However we didnt think we would walk out empty handed accompanied by a sour taste in our mouths. Honestly all I could do was laugh to myself in shock and disappointment, I am definitely not surprised.Sometime in the beginning of the year (around January or early February) my partner and I had visited the Montgomery village sur la table in hopes of going home with a great saute pan. We previously had two oxo non stick pans and loved them till the very last thread of life they had but it was time for something new and durable. We didnt want to go through the never ending cycle of purchasing a replacement pan every year or so. We were very aware of the price we would have to pay for a pan like this and we were fine with it, but of course if we could have found something on the more budget friendly side (~$200) that would have been great. We were having trouble looking for a single pan that came with a lid so we asked one of your store associates for help. I forgot her name but it was something like Jennifer? She was a bigger white woman with dirty blonde hair. Once i remember I will not forget again. Anyways, we had asked her for help and while we were explaining what we were looking for and how much (we didnt say exactly how much but did mention 'budget friendly,' keep that in mind) she kind of paused, maybe to think, but took her a while to give us an answer. She showed us a few double sets of pans and single ones as well as the silicone lids that are sold separately. We werent liking what we were seeing; we hate the silicone lids and strongly preferred a pan with a lid real lid.Per her body language and actual words, she didnt really know if she could find something for us there as well as seeming to not want to help us look. She didnt give us another option after we looked and didnt like what we saw. She then asked if we had gone to ross to check. Really? Really. Really... i hope she remembers this interaction while reading this and feels shame. No hate to ross, i shop there for clothes but for pans? We didnt want to continue the cycle of buying a new pan every year and she asks if we have checked at ross. I dont think shes a great listener. But i do think this comment was backhandedly racist. Yes i am tan colored and hispanic but not an excuse to look at us and just tell us to go to ross when we were clearly ready to drop a few hundred on a pan.The sad thing is my partner has bought a few kitchen knives and such from there. Lost two customers after that interaction but i imagine management does not care and is just the same as its employees.Once i remember her name i will be making some calls. The only reason im posting this now is because i didnt think it would bother me for this long but it has. So now here it is.

Only three stars as even though the staff are knowledgeable, some or most of them are very snobbish. Should change the name to Snob La Table or Surly La Snoble

So disappointing-a promised three day delivery with one day for turnaround has turned into six days. We needed the gift within the three day window and only ordered it because of the promised three day delivery. Don’t trust this store!

Entertaining cooking classes with informative chefs who teach you various culinary techniques along with proper tool utilization methods. Their hosts are glad to assist curious customers within the kitchen equipment store.

I'm pretty disappointed in the customer experience at this store. From my perspective, the staff treated me like an inconvenience. I had to wait at the register while one of the cashiers was conversing with her friends. I got frustrated to the point I just left my items on the counter and left.

I love this SLT store and the staff are both helpful and knowledgeable. Most of my cookware I buy based on their advice and I have not been disappointed.I only wish dealing with their corporate online service reflected the local stores because their customer service is terrible. Don’t bother to call the online support line. All you get is an AI response and it is difficult to get to a real person. If u do it is a useless call center. Shop locally and avoid online.

I came in looking for a cookie cutter because my great-nephew is coming for Christmas and he wants to make ginger bread cookies. My wife called before I stopped in to see if they had them and the woman on the phone told us they had four left. I was having trouble finding them so I asked the woman behind the counter for some direction and she proceeded to be very rude and then tell me they didn't have any. I am glad I decided to believe the first person we spoke to because another employee actually helped me find the last four left. I also decided to purchase a new shun knife and while I was there the same woman that was rude to me kept giving me dirty looks the whole time. I don't know why she took such a dislike to me and while I know they are stressed this time of year, I was very polite and just trying to find something for our family’s visit for Christmas.
I am a chef and my family and I have purchased at least 2000 dollars in kitchen knifes from this store and I am seriously considering finding a different store for my supplies in the future.

sweet greeting at the door from 'heather'. wanted a paella pan but she said they were out and suggested a lecreuset braser. she said great things about the pan and with the curved sides i would still get the crispy bottom all around and i could use the pan for lots of other items. i bought one and the line was a little long but went fast. the hot chocolate was very good. samples of peppermint bark was given to everyone in line so i bought one of those too. the cashiere told me where i could get good recipes for my new pan. she was nice thanked me for buying local and invited me back. nice customer service. thank-you,
