We had a tankless water issue where the reading was 35%--the technician we talked to said for the heater to function properly, the % had to be higher--anyway, I contacted Kasandra the Suburban rep who was extremely helpful and immediately scheduled a delivery (next day)...Not only were her suggestions helpful, she added that there might be a regulator issue and the driver would resolve that as well....so thus a 5 star rating for this Suburban rep---

Terrible customer service in the billing department. Suspended deliveries due to a $60 unpaid bill (which I had never received) despite over 6 years of timely payments in full of invoices of thousands of $ each. Would have expected a more customer-friendly approach.

The person who took my order on the phone was very courteous. I had tried to order it online but I never have any luck with that so I usually have to call and talk to a live person. The driver who came and made the delivery was very nice and he followed my instructions of where he needed to put his truck to reach my tank on my property.

We’ve been trying to get our regulator fixed but they refuse to answer or call back. We will definitely be seeking business elsewhere. It’s insane to me that they them selfs qualify our issue as an emergency but then never call back. We can’t use our stove or hot water because of this. FIND ANY OTHER COMPANY. I promise you won’t regret it.

They filled my tank in January and decided that for me and my roommate a 200 gallon tank would need a refill by April. They charged me just under $1000 in January and I come home to a “top off” of 67 gallons for a grand total of $453.97. My tank is nearly 3/4 full, didn’t need a refill before summer, considering it’s already in the 90s. I called another propane company which is charging over a dollar less a gallon! Price gouging people when they least need to be is unfortunate for them because I will no longer be their customer.

Horrible customer service, they would not answer their phone making it impossible for me to inquire as to what services they offer. When I called I was redirected to a corporate call center, when I spoke with the individual that was helping me she had zero luck reaching them either. I drove to their location to get more information, as soon as I got out of my vehicle the office manager came out and started yelling at me that I wasn't allowed to park in their lot? I'm not sure how they do business being that it's impossible to communicate with them??

We have been with them for three years and last October I got the tank filled after the summer and they were charging me $7.10 a gallon. Just today, after calling them numerous times to get a delivery, after they had told me they would get one to me last week, they charged me $7.92 a gallon. Talked to a friend of mine who is just down the road and uses another company, said she was getting charged $4.17 a gallon! This company gouges to say the least! Bye-Bye!

My family had been with Suburbon for as long as I can remember, over 60 years. When I inherited the house and changed the account into my name, they offered a greatly reduced cost of gas for the first tank and slightly reduced cost for second tank. I said I would call them when I needed to have the tank filled. By the time I called the tank was down to about 8% and I got a lot of gas at that greatly reduced price. The next thing I know, two months later, they told me they came out and put in over 100 gallons. I thought I had a leak. I did not deal with it at the time but later realized that they lied. I had gotten a 100% full tank at a greatly reduced rate And I’m sure they didn’t like that so they lied, and compensated for their loss by claiming to have put in 100 gallons. I barely use 100 gallons a year. This is a vacation home. Then last March they came out to fill the tank and charged me nearly $7 a gallon when the going rate from about 10 companies that I called, was $3.50 to $3.75 a gallon. The other companies claim this high rate was because of Covid. I called Suburban and pretended to be a new customer and they offered me $2.75 a gallon for the first tank. I then told them I was not a new customer, I was an existing customer, and why were they charging me close to $7 a gallon when the going rate was $3.75 at the most. They gave me some BS story about Covid and everybody pays a different rate. I had to call Michael Finney, 7 On Your Side, to get them to reduce the rate to $4.20 a gallon, which was still $.60 a gallon more than any other company. Needless to say I have switched to Mcphails. Do not go with Suburbon, they are a highly unethical company. It has been a month since they were supposed to pick up their tank and they still have not. And I cannot call them because they will not answer their phone. I’ve been trying for days, and the phone just rings and rings. And if you Google Suburban you will find they’ve had many class action suits against them for gouging their prices. This company does not even deserve one star!!!!

Do not use this company unless you HAVE to...even then look into any and all other options. The lady in the office is not just rude but unprofessional. NEVER answers the phone and never calls you back. They messed up our bill more than once. The last time charged us over $1000 and could only show us $800 of charges because the driver accidently put $200 + on someone else's bill and had to bill us with no proof of this and gave us a late fee since we only paid what was on our bill. Now we are moving and requested 75 gallons ONLY so we don't get hit with a thousand dollar bill one month before leaving and extra gas that we can't use. They refuse to come for less that 150 gallons to charge us upwards of $700 or more. I cancelled the service after them not making an exception to the fact we will only be here 30 more days. Forget you Suburban!!

My husband Alan has been trying to reach Sub. Propane for about 3 weeks, with no reply till a complaint filed. Then, after contacted, delay of over 9 +days for a follow up phone call. On plus side, when our mother needed an emergency fill up, they were responsive and even relit her pilot lights....

The driver was courteous, professional, friendly, and helpful. He Freeview the history of the tank and usage since installation plus cheerfully fillked 2 of my 5 gallon bottles upon request.
