I have been studying with Stephen for several years, and it has been a rewarding experience. I not only have improved my playing, but have learned quite a bit about music in general. I am a Certified Simply Music piano teacher. The program is a “playing-based” approach covering lots of styles like Blues, Classical, Contemporary and Accompaniment & Chords! We also explore composing and improvising. Music reading is introduced after building a foundation of songs. This program is fun, diverse and broad in scope! My background is Classical for those that are particularly interested. :)
Lessons are at my studio in downtown Santa Rosa in either a shared format or individual. I can also teach remotely via Zoom due to distance. I work with all ages 6 and up and even those with special needs!
