Staff is rather prickly. I wandered around the store for about an hour, and although there were several staff on duty, including a middle aged black haired woman that seemed like the owner, no one ever said hello, if they could help me, or even acknowledged me. I came in looking for some expensive items and left with nothing. I guess they just don't care; that's how it seemed.

Beware, they have a draconian return policy. We purchased UGG slippers as a Xmas gift on 12/01. Yesterday, Christmas, we realized the slippers are too small. I'm a "Rewards" customer, they have proof of the purchase, today is 12/26 (the day after Xmas), tags are all attached, we have the original box, and yet...They can't exchange the slippers for a larger size - they don't have the correct size - and they won't order another size. In the end, because we are outside of the 10 day return window, they will only redeem for store credit. We were informed that if the correct size is returned, and we are lucky enough to come in before they are resold, we have the option of exchanging our purchase for the correct sized UGGs. To me, that's hedging their bet at the expense of basic customer service. When REI is in town, Lululemon is across the street, and online shopping offers a plethora of choices, I've run out of reasons to shop at this store. It's too bad, I prefer to support local small businesses, but not if they don't support me.

I love to support local and this shop is a great local option to the more branded competitors out there (REI and Sports Basement). I always manage to find some fun and interesting products that I don't always find at the larger outlet options in town. Their product lines are similar to the bigger stores but I find slightly different patterns and styles which is awesome to diversify the choices locally. Around the holidays they really ramp up pajamas, slippers, gift-like items to really help round out your gifts. Even first of the year they still had a good variety which is nice because after the holiday I know the bigger competitors tend to wind down these options for sale. Pricing on these types of products is always on the higher end but they have some great sales and it's nice to be able to support locally knowing you are making a difference in someone's livelihood versus a corporate machine.

Very, very nice people that work here. I was extremely impressed by their customer service this holiday season. Good selection of outerwear and anything you need to head straight to Tahoe. High prices but also high quality products.

I am in awe at just how wonderful of an experience I had at this store. I came in to buy a gift and was helped by one of the workers, as I recall it his name was Nathan.Words cant describe how helpful and kind he was. As I peppered him with questions about jackets and wind breakers he answered every one and was extremally detailed. His knowledge about each brand the jacket type was so helpful and I actually ended up buying multiple. People like him are what make shopping so incredibly enjoyable. I hope that he is as valued as an employee as he was to me during my experience (if I could tip him, believe me I would). Though I didn't speak much with the other staff everyone was polite and helpful. Can't wait to come here again!

Great service, Excellent well made, thoughtful, mindful inventory! Great for gifts year round. In speaking with the nice woman who manages inventory, she let me know that they will not carry an item that they can back up quality wise. They don't want to see a returned item that was returned for durability issues, so they simply carry excellent labels such as Patagonia, Prana, Columbia etc. One of Montgomery Villages best merchandises shops. Full of sportswear and gear. Definitely shop here. They offer gift receipt's as well for you holiday purchases!

Times are rough and retailers, local ones especially, are extra challenged and have to compete with online merchants. I want to support this place but they often make it very difficult. Went there for possible holiday shopping around thanksgiving time and they had a full staff not helping a single customer. I didn't hear any greeting or inquiries if any of us shoppers needed help. Two young clerks sat on the counters, both on their cell phones. I waited around the shoe area for a while but as I scanned around and contemplated calling for help, I instead checked prices on my own cell phone and decided to go elsewhere.

I like to buy slippers and shoes at this store because of the selection. I also shop here because they have excellent customer service.
