We are obsessed with the Sonoma Land Trust. They exist to protect the land and conserve nature and wildlife. We go as often as we can and always bring friends. They offer community activities that are amazing and family-friendly. Our favorites are the outings and events which occur regularly out on the land. From the website: From mountain treks to botany crawls, bird watching to kayaking, there are many ways to join us on the land. We also offer lectures and events throughout the year where you can spend time with a community of people dedicated to preserving the land. If you join the Land Trust as a member you can go on their member-only hikes, which sometimes include hiking on properties that are closed to the public which makes them feel even more special. The public hikes are also informative and a ton of fun, even for kids, we went on a family hike that included learning to do wildlife tracking using animal footprints. Membership doesn't cost much, it's totally worth it, and it's such a great cause to support. Their website isn't listed on Yelp so here it is. The Bay Area is beautiful. Enjoy!

I went on one of the Sonoma Land Trust’s guided hikes. Fun and informative time. The work they’re doing to restore the salt mash habitat is really impressive. I’ll definitely come back to hike on my own, too!

I drive past many properties on my work route that are now and forever open space. Thank You SLT!!! The beauty and serenity of SLT Open Space always finds a way to nourish me. These once endangered lands are a true feast for the eyes while providing us an escape from noise pollution, sprawl, overcrowding. Easy to support such good work. Recomend: artful poster series to spread awareness.

I believe Sonoma Land Trust should seek a seat on the California Coastal Commission.
