I've been coming to you guys for a couple years now about the total of 7 years but today I went in and got my normal beef jerky at $40 a pound and a half a pound of the other beef jerky and come to find out got in the car and the meat is hard and gritty like it's old not that it's been too cold so I asked him about that they got offended and hung up on me this is unacceptable

Not much of a meat eater myself (very rarely) but am experimenting with putting my dog on a raw diet so I'm exploring local meat sources. Has been surprisingly challenging to find certain types and cuts (because many shops don't butcher onsite anymore). Called here to ask questions, they were super knowledgeable and helpful. Drove there and again they were really friendly and helped me understand my options. Lovely people and a great local source for butchering needs.

Time for me to admit I'm addicted to their hardwood smoked bacon. Yes, there's lavender, but I can't get into perfuming your meat. Clearly, many people disagree.Anyway, shout out to Rodrigo at the Castro Farmers Market stand. Always a smile.

I have been living in Santa Rosa for 6 years and I am mad at myself for just now discovering this place. I will NEVER EVER buy meat from a grocery store EVER AGAIN. This place is awesome! The employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and you can tell they all love their jobs. I walked in there and everyone had smiles on their faces, pep in their step, and fantastic attitudes! Everyone was very helpful and they really gave me a great experience. I will be a regular here from now on. THANK YOU SONOMA CO. MEAT CO.! You guys are the best!

SOCOMEATCO has been coming to our local Farmer's Market in Fremont for several months. I have been using another ONLINE company not be be mentioned (just saying that they may be based in Nebraska).... Finally needed to replenish our stores. Came up with a moderate sized order and placed it online. with a little bit of back-and-forth customizing the "Packages", we placed an order. It was delivered free to the Farmer's Market. They didn't have a couple of the items which we wanted, but they threw in a couple extra cuts of other meats that we ordered AT NO COST !!! The pork chops are the best we have ever tasted. We got the beef package which has a couple cuts (chuck steak) that we would never buy in a super market because they are normally too tough and stringy. Tonight we marinated a small chuck steak and then seared it in a VERY HOT skillet for about 3 minutes on each side. Let it rest and then sliced it thin.... OH MY GOSH was this a good steak. crusty on the outside, rare in the middle. VERY tender !! I can't wait to try some of the other meats. Buy Local, Buy fresh... you can't go wrong !

We made our way out here from Fairfield, where there aren't any butcher shops. So, we love to check them out when we get to a city that has one. They had a good Good of selection beef, pork, different types of sausages and even lamb. They also had beef sticks. Choice cut prime cut, they had it all!we will definitely be coming back!

Grass fed meat and it shows. None of this fatty flavorless corn fed stuff. This stuff is grass fed, good and worth the trip. Also -- their stocks are amazing. Pure bone broth with everything that should be cooked into a stock -- organically! If you live in the NorthBay area, come here and buy your meat here, My only complaint was with their smokehouse burgers, which were 30% bacon. That's overdoing it, but everything else here is perfect. Worth going way out of your way for

Good meat with high prices. I don't mind paying good for quality meat, but the service is hit or miss. My biggest complaint is that I got a gift card and went in and placed an order. When I tried to use the gift card, they told me I could only use it for online orders. There's nothing I want online, so that's just a waste of money. I haven't been back since.

Just had their chorizo sausage with Huevos Rancheros. Spice level is mild and the flavor is punched up with lots of smokiness, perfectly salted, balanced spices, and wonderful texture. If you've been eyeing this particular offering, Do. Not. Wait. Get it now and thank me later.

This is the #1 meat shop in Santa Rosa. The wide variety of meats are fresh and well cut. They have all sorts of prepared/condimented versions too. The staff is top notch with excellent customer service. Definitely the best place to buy your meats (no bison)
