I went there for diagnosis last Saturday because the dashboard signal in the car was on. Went to AutoZone to read the code, it showed 2 codes. Took the car here for diagnosis because their website claimed they have 45 years of auto repair experience. The young man quickly completed the test and told me it might be due to the battery, and charged us $110 for the diagnosis. When we arrived, we found that he didn't diagnose the displayed codes. I raised a question about it. The senior man ( maybe owner Roger?)said to come back on Tuesday because since we paid, it would be free. We replaced the battery the same day, but the dashboard code still appeared the next day. On Tuesday, we went to complete the diagnosis they hadn't finished, but unfortunately, they still didn't find the cause of the problem, and the diagnosis wasn't even free. They charged me another $175. Very disappointed, spent $285 and they didn't detect anything, the car's problem still persists.☹️
Don’t understand why they charged me twice for the diagnosis.
RESPOND: Hi, Roger. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it! Since I can’t respond to you , then I have to write it here. Base on my perspective, I went there to do the diagnosis instead of reading the code(like people can do the code read at the auto zone for free.) We changed the battery bc your people told us the battery is the reason, that’s why we changed it. However, the same lights on at the second day, not right after we changed the battery. It turns out the diagnosis is not correct——battery is not the reason. About the fuel injector, Your worker told us in person multiple times that the fuel injectors are running good, he doesn’t think it’s the fuel injector-not only to me, but also to my husband. The thing make me mad is— You guys keep charging me money and nothing was actually helped. Technically, you can do all the work or test you want to do and then ask me to pay for it, but for me, I just simply want my problem get solved.
So let’s talk about the diagnosis service, What is the result?

Got me in on short notice, quickly identified the problems and took care of them. In and out the same day. So professional and easy to work with. Only problem is they don't have a shop in my home town in Seattle!

Roger has been my go to mechanic for anything I am unable to do myself. He is reasonable, personable, and just an all round pleasure to conduct buisness with. I will continue to return here with my vehicle trouble in the future.

I'm married to a guy who has built many cars from the ground up. He doesn't want to pay money for anyone else to fix the car because he can do it himself. He thinks an oil change should cost $30. Well nowadays we are too busy for him to take care of that kind of stuff so we started bringing our cars to Rodger.
You're not going to believe this (or at least I hardly can). My husband thinks Rodger has reasonable prices and that he's a great mechanic. Now it's one thing if I say "Rodger's been great!", but I post my husband's comments here because he is WAY harder to please.
The last thing I'll say is that, while talking to Rodger I learned that he became a mechanic as a part time gig while he went to med school. He liked it so much and did so well, he stayed! (But I guess it's a similar profession- diagnosis and treatment of cars and people.) I bring this up just so you know that he's a smart, quality person who cares about people. And also, I think people who love what they do are usually the kind of people I want to hire.

I came to Rodger after meeting him through another automotive shop.He gave me a very fair rate on labor for installing parts I provided.Now everything in my Mazda MPV is hunky dory.

I highly recommend Sartorial Auto for efficient service. Our Toyota Rav4 was having engine issues, which we anticipated would require replacement of several expensive parts. Sartorial was able to diagnose the problem and repair the engine in a single day, so that we could quickly and safely get back on the road. I appreciated the straightforward transactions and the careful replacement only of what was needed to ensure the cost was reasonable. Had what I thought was an oil leak and got an appointment as soon as I could. It was easy and fast and Rodger was very friendly and called me when everything was all done. He offered me a good solution to the problem and I was on my way out after about an hour and a half. Overall great experience and I know I can trust him for future repairs also!
