Took a 4WD truck with 4wd shifting problems. I expected possibly needing new/rebuild of transfer case. They charged an upfront cost for diagnostics, and determined that TCCM code was being thrown. Then requested to do further diagnostics and service transfer case to make sure there were not further mechanical problems with the transfer case. I had to beg for a ballpark estimate of best case/worst case of replacing just the TCCM vs also needing to replace transfer case. They acted like I was crazy for not wanting to give them a blank check for what I know were the possible likely outcomes. Because of how I was treated and their reluctance to provide me information, I decided to pick up my truck without further work done. They had shifted it into 4wd during diagnostics (stuck in 4wd) and didn’t bother to let me know, and sent the truck home this way. They are either too incompetent to know it was in 4wd or didn’t seem to care. Glad I am not trusting them to do any further work on it.
Response to below reply: I did not ask for an endless list of repairs, I asked for a very reasonable quote for the expected repair you first diagnosed and the possible likely worst case if as you did further diagnostics. My choice to not continue spending my money with you was confirmed when you sent my vehicle home stuck in 4wd and didn’t bother to notify me. I certainly won’t be bringing it back.

10/10 would not recommend going here unless you like your property being damaged and being lied directly to your face. I paid almost 7 grand for a used transmission(very overpriced come to find out) I go to get my car and they managed to do 5k in damage to my car… when I brought it up to the owner Sam, he was very rude and condescending, and he basically was saying that it wasn’t his fault until I brought up cameras and he had to fess up. Keep in mind the guy who crashed it is the same guy that hand washed the car and brought it out to me and didn’t say anything. They did end up paying for my body damages after they realized they were caught. I also noticed when I got the car back it was squeaking super loud from the rear left wheel. We bring it up to Sam and he says he let six different guys test drive my car and nobody heard the Noise. (Basically I let 6 different guys dog out your 99 corvette because I’m mad I have to pay for damages ) bottom line is the mechanic at a different shop told me the car was not drivable and anyone would hear the noise (greeseball Sam said there was no noise at all which was another lie ) And the way that he got out of paying for it is saying, they never took off my rear wheel only for me to go on the reviews for their shop and see my car lifted off the ground with both rear wheels off…. But yeah, don’t take your car here unless you want some spoonfed prick lying to your face. The photos below is the all the damage they did and a review somebody made with my car lifted off the ground Both rear wheels off, but as I expected on the side where the noise is coming from they did indeed take off my rotor and axle(After greaseball said they never touch the rear wheels)

I would highly recommend Santa Rosa transmission and car care. Chris was extremely helpful. He explained each step of what they would be inspecting on my car and told me the price each time. Every person I encountered on the phone was respectful and knowledgeable. Great team of people!

Can’t say enough good things about Chris. He made the whole process smooth, got me discounts, a rental vehicle big enough for my family and kept me updated the whole time with photos and progress made. I came to him flustered, not knowing what to do or how I was going to afford a new transmission on my 2017 Tahoe. Leaving less than 2 weeks later, stress free and incredibly grateful for everyone that helped. Their mechanics noticed faults that other mechanic shops didn’t notify me about so altogether I’ll be coming back and referring everyone to them. Forgot to mention I’m coming from Vallejo an hour away, worth it

Honestly I wanted to review lower because of how disrespectful an employee was to me on the phone but they did fix my issue I was having which I’m grateful for. The 2 problems were that they let me know the work would take 1 day and it ended up taking 5 days because they told me they ordered the wrong part which was extremely inconvenient but I would say the shop did try helping with transportation. The main terrible thing was an employee named Chris made up a HUGE story about how the delay was my fault and I had known there was a delay in parts from ”other shops “ literally the crazies LIE from thin air ALL to not be remorseful. I told him that he was being very rude and had NO IDEA where that was coming from n asked to have his owner call me instead and he didn’t listen and continued to call me again. Customer service is so important and everyone was so kind except this one random person working the front.

I called and set up a last minute appointment, SRT was able to get me in for an oil change and a transmission service. The inspection SRT offers to customers is one of the best features I've seen with a auto shop. Great communication throughout the service. I highly recommend this shop, and will still make the trip even though my family and I are moving.

Excellent transparent service in a matter of minutes.
Came in to have my Corolla checked out after it started emitting fumes into the cabin, and found out a perge solenoid was failing to close.
Step 1: smoke test to make sure it wasn't just the gas cap (Corollas have an issue where the cap can trigger the check engine light).
Step 2: they sent me a comprehensive email listing the issues they found, and offered additional services like break, tire, and battery inspection/ cleaning which I went for knowing the car hasn't been serviced in 8~ years aside from oil changes.
Step 3: completion of requested services.
Did this all in a day! Very thankful. Overall the vehicle and customer service were top notch. Even got a cool purple carabiner and some snacks. Inside lounge is clean, comfortable, and well stocked with drinks, magazines, and even a book if you've gotta stick around for a while. Big shout out to Chris and the crew. Liking this joint, will be back.
