I had an appointment unknowingly made for me by my wife. I had no idea what to expect walking in and as someone who has just started transitioning, I could not have walked out more pleased. The entire atmosphere was impeccable and i was engaged by every employee at some point. So friendly! I was scheduled to be cut by Montana, and she is absolutely wonderful. I felt beyond welcome and accepted in her chair. It felt as if she was one of my best friends for the last decade. She is creative and did an amazing job on my hair. I'm new to long hair and told her she had complete creative control. I was caught smiling at myself in the mirror by Montana. She knows what shes doing and does it so well you dont notice your hair is being cut; Her head massage/shampoo was a pretty welcome addition, as well.
All in all, Salon West is cute and welcoming, the employees are friendly, and Montana has made a friend for life in me, whether I ever see her again or not. 10/10 recommend.

This is a 3 part review. One of my daughters has a haircut with Jazmin. We liked it very much, and booked a haircut with her (she herself booked it) for my other daughter 10 days later. When we came for my other daughter’s appointment, which we confirmed, and got the 1 hour reminder of before, we were told that Yazmin was running behind, wouldn’t be able to cut my daughter’s hair, but that Alex could. Since we had driven from another city for this appt, we agreed. We liked the cut, and then I decided to book a cut and color with Alex for myself. I should have known when they did the switch to not book anymore here. On the Saturday before my Tuesday appointment (which I had booked in person with Alex), I received a called from a receptionist who told me “It would be better if you could come Monday at 10.” I advised her that I couldn’t come at 10. I was totally out off by that, and we will not be coming back. I think some work on phone skills would be helpful too.

Went in for a haircut after not going to a stylist in years. I was pretty nervous. Jazmin really took care of me, she made sure I was fully aware of what she was doing and we had a great conversation while she worked. It was a super chill time and I absolutely love the cut she gave me. All in all I give her and the salon a 10 out of 10. I will 100% be going back to her for touch ups.

I've been getting my hair done here since I moved here last year and the service is incredible. My mom was here visiting and my regular hairdresser Jazmin hooked her up with a beautiful color & cut.

On the fence and not sure if it’s fair to review based on service from one individual since there are several people to one may select.
First time in and didn’t receive a great haircut but wasn’t hideous either just wasn’t exactly what asked to have done.
Inside seems nice and open floor plan with stations on both sides.
Everyones experience of a haircut varies and depends on what you like, that’s the obvious so perhaps you enjoy a getting your hair washed along with a scalp massage and conversation getting to know your new stylist or do you prefer not to have any conversation?
I prefer to try and know my stylist with light conversions since we are mutually getting to know each other and figure out if I’ll become a long term client.
My stylist happened to be uncomfortably quiet and had to talk so there wasn’t dead silence also wanted to know if they were cutting how I requested.
If decided to return, will try a different stylist and update review.

Till my kid got his first salon cut, and the woman told him to keep it long in front, then chopped it so short. They have booked me on a day the hair dresser wants in. Then, they double booked my kid. So they skipped the wash. We won't be going back.

Sydney Barragan is amazing! I read her profile ( and Thought she was the stylist for me -- I have mature hair that is beginning to get finer and thinner. After seeing her for my first appointment, I Know she is the person for me. She listened to my needs (low maintenance) and did a great job advising a cut that takes into consideration my hair, my face shape, etc. She then styled it in a way I can do myself. On top of that she is a lovely person. I highly recommend her. I also highly recommend Salon West. It is an attractive and very welcoming salon (and very clean). The staff are also very organized and quickly follow up with return calls, appointment confirmations, and reminders. What a great find!

I decided to grow out my gray hair. I had a Pixie at the time but also, wanted to grow my hair out shoulder length. Everything was going well until I had about 4" of gray and then the dyed brown/orangey ends. I finally broke down and decided to get it fixed. I went to Sydney and my God she did an amazing job. My color blends beautifully from root to tip and, I got to keep my length. I love my hair now. Thank you Sydney!!

Totally unprofessional. The worst haircut ever. Manager tried to “fix it” and made it infinitely worse. My hair is ruined. The managers response is an absolute lie. She was erroneously hacking at my hair with a razor to “fix” it. I asked her to stop because she was cutting more hair that I don’t want cut. I told her thank you for trying and she told me to come back in a month and she would try to blend it. I NEVER shoved either of them. I would never do this. This just highlights what an unprofessional establishment this really is that this is what she chooses to do when she gets a bad review. The picture speak for themselves. This is defamation and I’d she chooses to leave this up I will absolutely be pursuing legal action. This is why she doesn’t have more honest reviews.
