The male receptionist continually talked to me in a condescending and passive aggressive tone every time I had to interact with him. He is my biggest grievance. The Dr. we had genieunly seemed like he wanted to help my cat so they're really just getting stars for him. When I called back after getting unfortunate news about my pet, wondering if there were over the counter options in case she was in pain, they talked to me like I was crazy for wanting to help her. They then prescribed her medicine, which felt more like a way to brush us off. In short, not going back.

AVOID AT ALL COST - Dr. Hoskins along with Dr. Espinoza killed my dog 7/21/24 Dr. Espinoza along with supposed trained emergency techs failed to recognize and treat my dog for respiratory distress. We live over 1.5 hrs in the hills from the vet, Smokey needed stitches and he had gotten worked up in the Car on the long drive down..... They left my dog without any oxygen therapy or any other standard of care that is taken when a dog is in respiratory distress. When Dr. Hoskins took over care from the ER shift he also failed to recognize respiratory distress and insisted he needed airway surgery, he never spoke to us once despite our 7 attempts to reach him (we have call logs) I told the staff he needed to speak to us before surgery b/c we did not feel he needed airway surgery. Dr. Hoskins never called us once, not before surgery, not after surgery, not when my dog died. I called at 7pm thinking nothing had been done for my dog b/c I never got a call from the doctor to explain anything, to go over concerns(there were a lot) to get Smokey's patient history.... At 7pm with no phone call before or after I'm told his surgery's were all done, he was doing great (lies) and can go home the following morning......hours later we get a frantic call from Dr. Espinoza stating Smokey was swallowing too much blood from his airway surgery and was swelling close (his airway) we gave life saving permission...less than an hour later he's dead. The ball was seriously dropped on Smokey's standard of care. He was never properly treated he was given a surgery he didn't need, a surgery that he wasn't brought there for and that surgery killed him. He left a healthy dog who needed stitches and died from negligence and greed. I still have no idea what was done by Dr. Hoskins to Smokey's airway I never got a call before or after explaining how it went what he did to his airway surgically, I just know that's what killed him. I never got a call from a technician, receptionist or anyone after surgery. The most telling was I never got a call after he died from Dr. Hoskins and when we called to talk to him he refused our call. They didn't just kill our dog they took a member of our family.

This place is amazing! It's nice to finally deal with a Veterinary clinic that actually cares about the animals, and where the money isn't first priority. The entire staff seems to build a relationship with your animal. Just an all around great experience. Thank you Dr. Exelby for your kindness and great explanation of what was going on with Coco. This is the most comfortable we've been at the Vet.

My dog was diagnosed with gastric and splenic torsion. He was stabilized at Petcare East, who advised me that he needed emergency surgery ASAP; it was 2am. Petcare told me that I would need to transport him to Oakland because that was the only surgeon available. I contacted Redwood vet and they told me they were stabilizing two critical patients, but would be willing to perform surgery on my dog as soon as they were done, and to bring him by. I was so beyond thankful for this!! I arrived and the receptionist was so pleasant and efficient! They took my boy in and I went home. They continued to call me with updates throughout the night and into the next day. I feel like the vet seemed passionate about his job, and made decisions that would be in the best interest of my dog. He will remain there for the next 48-72 hours, and the day vet told me I can come by to visit him whenever I would like. I am so pleased with my experience at Redwood vet!

I only spoke to a receptionist regarding a potential emergency situation and she was not very friendly. I usually go to petcare for emergencies but they were at capacity with a 6 hour wait time. I decided not to go there and see my regular vet the next day.

Amazing!!!! So thoughtful and just beyond a 5 star service. My dog had an ear infection and it took about an hour and half to be seen on a Friday night. The bill was less than my vet would have charged for a normal visit. This will now be our vet from now on. Thank you to the Dr and staff.

We've been bringing our two dogs to Redwood for years. Both the hospital and the clinic. They are helpful and dedicated professionals. They've been there when we needed expert care for serious issues and have performed surgery on our pup as well. I trust them implicitly. We drove there about 30 minutes even though there are vet offices closer to our home. We've tried others for convenience but always come back to Redwood.

Caring, knowledgeable and easy to have my dog seen for our emergency visit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. It's always scary for emergencies but I felt like my dog was in good hands.

Absolutely horrible veterinary hospital. We brought our extremely lethargic dog in she was not eating . They kept her there a week. Claimed she was better, misdiagnosed her Charged us $5k and sent her home. She had not improved still not eating and lethargic. We contacted our regular veterinarian Dr. Eric Williams at Wikiup Veterinary Hospital he had us bring her in right away kept her for a few hours , did some testing asked us to bring her back the following morning and drop her off again. By that evening we had a diagnosis and treatment plan. I am happy to report that our fur baby is doing well .

I 'am livid and todays interaction with the office staff sealed the Deal for me!! ! went in to pick up a bottle of shampoo they had set aside for me. I handed the receptionist a $100 bill for the $38 bottle. (all I had was cash). SHE slid it back to me and said" I'm sorry we don't have change for this". I then handed her $28 which was the lowest next amount I had. She disappears into a office and comes back returning the $28, saying "unfortunately I will need the full amount (38) I can't take a partial payment! WTF! I'm short $10 . I asked if she could put the remaining amount in my file and I 'd pay when I came in next." No I can't do that, I need the full amount now".?! My reply was "Do you know how much money I have spent at this business, and you can't trust me for $10??? "No, we can't do that"! I have been going to this Vet Clinic since 1986! I have never carried a $$$ balance there I have never owed them money. I have already found another Veterinary business that I will be using.

Fast, high quality service. my dog got a foxtail up her nose. They fixed her up super fast, and provided a receipt that made the insurance claim straightforward and quick. The doctor and support staff were all friendly and efficient.
