Trash can company. If I could put zero stars, I would. My CPA unfortunately passed after i gave him my tax documents but before he completely finished filing my tax returns. I had the completed returns he just didn't send everything in so the IRS didn't receive it.
I went here in an emergency situation and like i said with my tax documents already completed by a licensed full time CPA whom had been charging me 125.00 a yr to file my taxes electronically for years.
I saw the price of 195.00 on their website and scheduled an appointment. I went in and met a nice gentleman who said he would help me. Through small talk i learned that he was a landscaper and only did tax service part time.
I watched him use the completed documents I brought in from my CPA to file my taxes online. Even using these documents he got me less money than my expired CPA and was actually asking how my CPA came up with numbers in the return. Like i said this was a job already done. I was absolutely stunned when he showed me a bill for 600 dollars. They charged because i have children and they charged as a small business because i worked for door dash. I paid a landscaper 600 dollars to copy and paste my tax documents from my CPA's completed returns into the IRS website. Scam. Don't be like me, go somewhere else.

Very expensive and disorganized. We showed up to an appointment and we're told that their system was doing something confusing and that the one number wasn't making sense. We were told to go home and she would follow up with an answer later. Time came and went and we never heard anything so we filed elsewhere. After the tax deadline someone else took over our return and had no idea what the holdup was and didn't seem to care about the frustrations of being forgotten about. Luckily I went to turbotax and paid about half as much.
Also I've been filing with H&R block for the last few years and I realized this year that I hadn't been filing my local return that last few years. I have a bit of a special circumstance so I guess they didn't understand it but that was an unwelcome realization that I'm paying so much for tax prep and they aren't able to catch something like that. Truthfully I'm either going to continue with turbotax or just prep everything myself since these services are so expensive and don't seem to provide any security, conveyance, or insight.

They have some problems with their My Block system for indivual messaging, but overall got the job done.

Taxes were prepared quick and easy. I have used H & R Block for years and have never been audited by the IRS. They offer peace of mind and with that even if the IRS was to do an audit, H & R Block would handle it.

My H& R Block tax professional, Grace and support team were great in helping me understand the process. She listens well and tries to educate me and my wife in the intricacies of doing a proper tax return. Kudos to Grace Whaten!

This was my first time using H&R Block to prepare my taxes and it will be my last!I went to the one located on Farmers lane in Santa Rosa. From the beginning my preparer was incompetent . He asked me the same questions over and over in the same conversation. Then forgot what we discussed the next conversation. It was frustrating.He finished my return and I mailed in my taxes( I owed a large amount which I expected).2 weeks later, I received a refund from the State AND Federal government because his calculations were incorrect!!! The worst part? I paid $785 for this incompetency!!!Run don’t walk from H&R blockheads.
