Very easy and fast to get checked in, the car was clean, and it took like 3 minutes to walk to the car. Very nice, competent staff.

Unprofessional behavior over the phone. I just called to get regional manager for Santa Rosa. Talked over me and hung up. Hertz locations in santa rosa have no manners. Young lady on the phone should not be hanging 2x up on customers and refuse to help. I use to be a frequent customer but Enterprise would never do this to customers. Do not use hertz in Sonoma. You're asking for trouble. Zero customer service.

Clown show of a location. Don't have cars if you have a reservation even with presidential status and the staff is pretty rude.

We have been using hertz for a while and have presidential status and we have never been treated so horribly. Not only did they have no cars despite our reservation, the two people at the counter were vague, rude and offered so help or compassion while we were stranded at the airport with an infant. One of them just smirked at us the whole time. Absolutely appalled.

I interacted with a Hertz Santa Rosa employee during our flight connection delay, informing him that we would be late to the rental counter. He was extremely helpful and instructive. He assured me that he would keep an eye on flight, and hold the car for us, which he did. The employee at the counter was very welcoming when we arrived, and when we returned the car. Customer service was exemplary from start to finish. The car was clean and perfect for our travel needs for the extended weekend.

I am a fairly frequent Hertz customer, President's Circle member, and generally have been happy with the service given by other Hertz locations. Anyway, I booked a vehicle a month in advance for a weekend trip to wine country but when I approached the counter at the Santa Rosa airport to pick up my keys I was told there were no vehicles available, None. It wasn't a matter of being too late or early. I arrived at my reserved time, no apologies, just we have no vehicles, deal with it. They could put me on the waiting list but had no idea when or if a vehicle would be available. Awesome start to our weekend! Luckily next door at Ace Rental they had an oversized, gas-guzzling boat of an SUV available for about $150 more than my reservation with Hertz. It was the only vehicle remaining, so I took it. Walked to the Ace lot and found the lone car in the area, however next lot over was the Hertz lot with 5 vehicles parked! (Pic attached). Whether it's laziness or incompetence someone at the corporate level really needs to look at this location.

Worst rental experience Ever..
Our family of 5 Made a specific reservation for Sonoma Airport Pickup -knowing our flight arrived @450 pm. The Hertz system still defaulted the reservation to in town Santa Rosa location, which is of course closed at 5pm.
Not only did not we not get a vehicle at airport per request, We were not able to pick one up at their Santa Rosa location either; in fact the following morning they informed us they would not honor the reservation!
As well as we received the most disgusting attitude and lack of any customer service or empathy from "Rachel" the shift manager. She was just disgusting from our treatment to the actual way she carried herself and dismissed Hertz responsibilities to hold a reservation.
Oh and Now I have to attempt to get my refund from the car insurance too!!

Booked car rental for same day with a same day return to kill time and sightsee, showed up and car not available. The counter agent said oh you’re the reservation that booked online and offered an explorer upgrade for $75 which was about what I paid for the 5 hour reservation. A phone call after the reservation would have been appreciated as we checked out of the hotel and had our bags and a box of wine and about 6-7 hours until our flight left. We are presidents circle members so even that isn’t safe.

Excellent service from John and this location. Every time I called, I was able to get in touch with someone at the local branch right away. They had my car delivered to the private side of the airport and were great when I needs to make last minute changes. Car price was reasonable and it was very clean.

Rental desk closes at 6:00pm and they refuse to leave cars for after hours pickup although flights continue to land at Charles Schulz for hours after the desk closes. When I asked if they could make an exception and have a desk attendant available at 8:30pm, I was told to "get an Uber" to my hotel, which was 20 miles down the road in Petaluma. This makes me want to drop my Gold membership with Hertz.

It's one of those times where you thought you were on your vacation. On your way to visit a relative that you hadn't seen for to long. Than you car breaks down.. So, your still going . But in a Rental, You'll come back this way drop off your rental and your car was fix while you were gone. But, which 'Rental' Company do you choose. I was lucky enough to be next to an airport.
As all know, Airports give you a variety of rental companies.
First and cheapest was Enterprise, but you couldn't use cash or debit. Just a credit card. 'A' credit. Only one. So, you had better have a good amount to use.
Second, Budget, same as above. But more expensive.
Third, Hertz. Same as the first and second. But Evan more so.
Fourth, on break. So, we scooted on over to Ace. Thank the Dear Lord for the nice gentleman behind the counter. Yes, you can use a debit card.
When I asked how much, I thought I was about to cry and leave the airport without a car. But, Evan though it sounded at first more expensive the all the above. They didn't charge you for the milage. You could go and go and go. When you bring it back, make SURE it's with a full tank. They will charge you $20.00 a gallon to fill it up for you
Enjoy your vacation. Use their vehicle.

Terrible experience, got a reservation at 2pm, got there at 1:30pm and made ya wait, at 2:15pm car was still not ready and the ladies were being very rude and when they were told in a good manner that they were being very rude they decided not to give us the car and didn’t get reimbursement either. Worst experience I’ve had with a car rental, I do not recommend dealing with rude people

I vote this joint the worst rental desk in the USA. They can take your booking, they can hold your booking, but when you arrive, they do not have a car for you unless you give them another $150 per day.
