The hotel is beautiful, the pool is amazing, the food and drinks were delicious.
However, I think they just renovated and I'm not sure if they're entirely finished.
We got the Executive Deluxe King, which advertises an adjacent room with two twin beds. We were a party of three adults, so we thought great, one bed for each of us. However, the beds were little more than thin mattress pads on bed frame. When we complained, they said this is typically a room for families, and that they don't usually get complaints about it. (But, kids will sleep anywhere, I guess.)
The room with the twin beds also has no vents, which they have gotten complaints, because they have two fans in the room for air circulation.
There were weird issues about the room, like there were chips in the paint already, and the showers did not have a door. That's a design choice, I guess.
Since it was slow, we were comped the adjoining room next to us. However, after we checked out, they called my friend who made the reservation and asked for another card for the second room, even though the manager comped us the room. Just weird. All other times, the front staff was great, and the restaurant staff were all really kind, but the phone call gave us bad vibes.
Overall, I would recommend coming here for the pool (come with Resort Pass, I think it would be a good deal) and the restaurant (we were here for Chef Ki Kim's pop-up, absolutely delicious), but I'm not entirely sure it is worth the price you pay for the room.

This place used to be awesome before it was under new management. Yes it is beautiful now and the renovation is awesome in the rooms are great and the restaurant is good, but as far as the cannabis industry events go they are extremely strict and not allowing of guests to consume cannabis on site even though we pretty much as an industry paid for this place to stay open for the last 25 years they showed us no loyalty no understanding and harass us even when we are quietly smoking in the designated smoking area they have been extremely aggressive, they have undersold rooms from people who show up late, they have extremely rude front desk staff, and now that they also own the sandman Hotel I am never going to support either of them because the sandman also undersells rooms from under people if they don't check in on time and don't contact anyone so people show up at 2:00 in the morning and have nowhere to stay, I am tired of being treated like second class citizens by establishments that oh their entire existence to the local cannabis industry based on the fact that we've been throwing events there. The last time I stayed there I had three different sweets rented out for several nights each spending over $10,000 and they still treated me like a nobody and screaming at me over vaping on the property, it seems strange to me that they would be willing to lose good customers in order to keep up some illegal and false concept that cannabis is still a bad thing to consume, they specifically discriminate against us for our cannabis use and for this reason I give them a very low rating and will not be returning here and recommend hotel arose or the Hyatt they are way better quality way better service and way more flexible around this stuff

Customer before new ownership. Like the vibe. Nice chill out for my personal breaks now and then. 1 beer on tap and a cocktail will help settle you down. Get cozy fireside. I want this outdoor furniture and design for my house now ?

I just went to the spa but wanted to leave a review because my massage therapist Brenden was incredible. I'd met him a couple years prior at a different spa and he'd fixed a health issue I'd been grappling with for years. (He unjammed my big toe which I'd lived with for 5+ years!) I injured my shoulder earlier this year and was avoiding massage but my friend bought me a gift certificate and I was so happy to cross paths with Brenden again -- and lo and behold his massage therapy vastly improved my shoulder injury too. Brenden is highly intuitive and innately understands the human body and how it works as an integrated whole. Can't wait to go back...and the rest of the resort is nice too, my friend and I stayed for lunch at the Lazeaway Club and it was delish! ?

We had a room a little away from the pool and reception. The hotel was probably very fully booked and full. It was very loud everywhere. We had to wait 25 minutes for a table for dinner. That's why we ate somewhere else.
The night was very restless because drunk guests were shouting loudly and having loud conversations in the parking lot in front of the hotel.
We wouldn't stay there again because we don't want a "party hotel".

We came on a staycation. The property was well groomed, clean, and the pool was warm. There are a good amount of chairs. Downside if you’re poolside is the playlist is short enough that you’ll hear it at least 3x’s.
Nearby activities: Many food choices in the surrounding area.
Food and drinks: Drinks were better in design than execution.

Pretty disappointed that a place that touts its pool as award winning repeatedly ran out of pool towels during our stay here on both days. On our second day, my partner checked every 10 mins for towels and during his fourth check, was told that the towels that had come were already distributed and we would now have to wait a whole wash cycle for any new towels. Thankfully the manager was able to find a pool towel for each of our kids, but an hour and a half later when we were done swimming the adults had to rush back to our rooms, still without towels. When you look around a lot of patrons were using their own beach towels. This points to a continuing and systemic issue that has never been fully addressed by leadership.
The pool is also quite cold, which may be ok for a tropical place but not in Sonoma county.
It is also pretty crowded at the pool, which may be ok for patrons who go for the day pass, but it makes it not worth it to invest in actually staying at the hotel.
