Don sold me a “like new” LG washing machine that looked nice, did not have all the features he had promised over the phone and smelled of mold. Once I immediately noticed there was mold on the front gasket, he replaced it right away, but the mold smell would not go away. After months of cleaning it with every product on the market, including running bleach cycles, I could not get this small smell to go away, even though the gasket and drum were pristine and always kept dry, with the door open. I finally got so frustrated that I took apart the entire washer by hand to find that the plastic drum housing assembly was completely eaten by black mold. The tube running from the soap dispenser down to the drum was filled with black mold and rust. This man knew that I am a single mom and just needed a reliable washer when mine went out, and he took advantage of a quick sale.Edited and updated to respond owner as of Sunday, March 24: I texted Don, the owner directly before posting anything online to give him a chance to respond and make things right. The rust buildup was not in the soap dispenser but in the plastic tube leading from the dispenser and was likely from years of past use before it was sold to me, as my water is all filtered before it enters the house and I have an instant hot water heater, so the water is never sitting. This has nothing to do with all of the black mold found inside the housing assembly shown in the pictures above. Thank you I will text Don again about the refund you offered. He has still not contacted me.

Don stayed open late, on a Sunday, in order to get a single mom the fridge she desperately needed. His employee George went above and beyond helping load and tie it down.

Poor communication and poor time management. I had called to make a simple request of draining a washer that had failed to drain was told they would come between 4-5 and i would receive a call from them before they would arrive but i never received it; then i called again asking for updates was told the technician was still out and could maybe come as a final stop no call was received i called to reschedule for the following day they said 10:30 i said thats fine between then and 12:15 and constant calling and no response i decided to go with a different company who sent a technician within the hour my recommendation is go with a more professional company

Don has a huge selection of appliances, and knows his stuff. Has something for every budget as well. He repaired our washer at our rental unit last year, and we bought a range from him as well. Just picked up a nice used washer and dryer set as well as a small used wine cooler last week. Delivered, installed, and hauled away the old ones.

Bought a washer dryer combo from them. Don is a hoot! Old school, straight shooter. Will tell you like it is. I think it's refreshing. The washer had an issue, called Don in the morning, he had his tech come out the SAME day and fix it! Way cool!Told him we have a baby on the way he was on it! Gave us a deal $ wise and was so kind and caring. The tech was knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Super kind souls and wonderful service. I am happy with them! Had great conversations with them and received fantastic service! I would highly recommend them.

It was i who bought the refrigerator sight unseen and i who will leave it at that ..with no one to blame for the costly/purchase and will except all loss of cost of doing..with my self caution and expense to be learned from ..at 60 yrs old though!! ,,No bad mouthing to be done ..only bad judment on my part ..its defrosted under the bridge so to speak!! ..Great guy&selection, all in all ..!

We bought a used Samsung refrigerator from Don recently. It works great, and looks like brand new! ALSO, thank you to George for his friendly delivery, he got it into our house & in place - a HUGE help because my husband walks with 2 canes.

Don's Appliances has a huge selection of used appliances in great condition from washers and dryers to refrigerators even a few vintage pieces for a possible theme venue.Although its location can prove to be a challenge with finding the entrance, I'm happy to say Don will probably greet you with a smile and will lead the way.I wouldn't say the premises is wheelchair friendly but sending a trusted friend you can rest assured Don will take care of your appliance needs. No worries about delivery because your appliance will be delivered and installed. AND, if need be, your old appliance will be taken leaving you with no more worries or stress. I did a lot of troubleshooting on my own appliance and figured out the problem, and when I was talking to him, he continued to talk to me as if I was an idiot. When I had to explain exactly what was going on for a 3rd time, he realized I was right. Then he started to refer to me as "sweety", excuse me?! Talk down to me and then try to act as though I'm an airhead. I run a business and would never do that to a customer. Stay clear of this guy who is clearly a misogynist, and clearly terrible at listening to his potential customer. FYI, I got someone who came out and fixed the issue, and guess what? I was right.

An appliance co. referred me to Don- apparently he's authorized to work on wall ovens.Unprofessional, forgetful, not motivated, generally seems miserable to be in this line of work.He answers the phone, but it went quickly downhill from there...Good luck, if you end up "working" with this guy...
