Evan helped my girlfriend and I finance a home out in the Sacramento area. We did everything remotely, which was awesome and sped up the process. I am an appraiser and a real estate broker/investor and have been through the loan process many times with many different agents for the past 30 years. Working with lenders as an appraiser or buyer's agent or financing my own properties. All of my clients I have referred to Steve over the years have been more the happy his knowledge and performance. In my opinion, he the hardest working guy in the business and I will never use anyone else.

My wife and I wanted to combine our home mortgage, a variable rate home equity loan and another loan for a solar HVAC system into one fixed rate loan at a low rate. We tried our own bank, other banks, several credit unions, and even answered postcard offers that came in the mail offering easy financing. It was admittedly a tall order, but since we had a good credit rating we thought it was worth a try. We were rejected by everyone. Our scenario was deemed too complicated, we were like a square peg with no round hole to fit into. Our financial advisor (Ken Weise at Sonoma County Wealth Advisors) recommended Steve Peritore at Peoples Home Equity. Why not, we thought. I want to tell you that Steve and his team were like a bunch of pit bulls in their determination to make this work. Against all odds, he contended with skittish lenders who kept putting up obstacle after obstacle, requesting unending details and documents. But Steve, his amazing loan doc specialist Angie and the entire team went to bat for us tirelessly, and I do mean tirelessly! They even put up some of their own company's money to hold the rate lock as the banks dragged their feet. When the loan was finally approved, we were on the east coast for my Mom's 90th birthday, and papers needed to be signed right away. Steve and Angie found a Notary in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, who met us in a restaurant out there and we signed and completed the deal on time. It was an epic battle. Steve, Angie, Alicia and Josh always had a positive can-do attitude, and believe it or not we had a lot of laughs along the way! I don't think I can recommend these guys enough. If anyone can make financing work, it's Steve Peritore and Peoples Home Equity. You can just recycle those postcards.

I've known Steve for a number of years now, back when he helped us get our first home. That itself was an adventure as first-time home buyers. But then, just as now that we have refinanced, Steve has really been there every step of the way to answer and clarify more than once any question we had. And me being an non-native speaker, had a ton of those. If there was ever a delay on something, it was on our side, and Steve was always patient with us making it work and getting results, which is what defines this business. And I think that is just the way he is, it is not an act. So I'll be happy to recommend and consult him on all my Real State needs.

We worked with Steve for our cash-out refinance and could not be more pleased with Steve's loan knowledge and first class service. Steve went above and beyond to explain to us all our options, what was best for our situation and why, help us collect all the necessary documents, and ultimately be there to answer any questions we had during the whole process. My husband and I have just completed our second home purchase. We went with Steve on a recommendation from our real estate agent and we were not disappointed. Our transaction had many unusual facets to it that made it very complicated. Steve took every moment possible to explain to us, in terms we could understand, everything we needed to know to make an informed decision. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone going through the process of getting a real estate loan. Steve has a great knowledge of the subject and is very good about helping a customer to understand all the details of the loan process. I have used Steve twice already, both for our original home loan and for our refi, with great results!

Steve Peritore, well what can I say? This is the second time that I have had the pleasure of working with Steve Peritore and I have to say once again he did not disappoint!! Steve is such a wonderful guy to work with... Steve is a professional from start to finish. He always takes time to explain things in detail so that there is no question as to what the next step is. Steve is truly the greatest mortgage broker that one could hope to find or work with. He is also an exceptional person -- he is kind, caring, patient, and very thoughtful. My husband and I have worked with a lot of different banks and mortgage brokers over the years, and never have we had such a positive experience. Steve is very knowledgeable about the different mortgage options, as well as willing to sit down with customers and talk through the options. He is great at explaining what to expect during the process of applying for and underwriting a loan. We had a particularly complex financial picture that Steve really took the time to understand and find a product that would work for us. We were SO pleased with the result. When it came to underwriting, he also did a great job of anticipating what documents we would need, and keeping us in the loop as to what to expect/provide. If/when we need another mortgage or are considering a refi, Steve will be the first person we call. He was always so responsive when we had a question -- available not just by email or phone, but also by text. If you are looking for a loan, you should absolutely call him. He's terrific and you couldn't ask for a better broker.
