This is a reply to the misinformed remark about the Macaw. His name is Major and he used to be a guest at Four Paws Pet Ranch before he was given up by his owner for personal reasons. We provide excellent care for all of our animals. For his own safety and for the safety of our customers, Major stays in his cage when he is outside enjoying the fresh air. When he is inside, he can freely move in and out of his cage.

Not sure how this company can call themselves animal allies or animal advocates when they have a beautiful full grown macaw sitting in a 3ft x 5 ft cage by itself on their porch. It doesn't have enough room to flap its wings. Absolutely cruel especially when there are so many bird sanctuaries in the area. They might be better with their dogs, but extremely hypocritical.

Countryside Rescue came to our rescue! When we lost one our animal companions, our remaining rescue was bereft! We found the perfect little dog at Countryside to bring Home! "Kira"'s got so much personality, she breathed new life into our placid home, she was easy to potty train, and a perfect companion for our remaining dog. We were happy to pay the adoption fee's Countryside charged to help them to the good work of re-homing dogs that deserve a second chance! We just read recent article in The press Democrat that Brown Paper Tickets bagged Countryside in their fundraising efforts... and donated to Countryside's go-fund-me hoping to help them Ride out of their current financial struggle.
