Council on Aging has made it very clear they are not there for the best interest of the elderly. Every report I made to APS against them went unanswered and every problem left unsolved. In fact ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES told me they would do nothing to help my grandma and the only thing we could do was cooperate with these people who are hurting her! I know Council on Aging for their meals on wheels program but I didn't know all the other stuff they do. They are great if you have an older parent who needs help. Sometimes its regular help with paying bills, getting rides to doctors, arranging for regular care giving or relief for the care givers already there. As a child it is hard living far away from your parents and trying to help them. But I know that whatever stage of aging COA can help with more in depth things too like powers of attorney for healthcare, finances. They can even help after your parent passes away. They remind me of what good kids would do for their parents if they were nearby. If they don't offer a service, they seem to know someone who does! I am so glad to have them as a resource.

I agree with Lorelei's review below and same bad review goes for Zachary Carroll, Esq ~ he is there only for his benefit to make money on Estate Planning, Living Trusts - the previous women attorneys were so much better than him - be careful w/ him he'll get you if you are not careful!
