I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with Dr. Powers and the exceptional staff at Wise & Wonderful. Their unwavering dedication and expertise played a crucial role in Angelita's recovery from her injury. The compassionate care, clear communication, and genuine concern for her well-being truly set this clinic apart. I'm grateful for the outstanding service provided by Dr. Powers and the entire team – they've earned my trust and heartfelt appreciation. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care!

We are so glad we found W&W. It was recommended from our primary vet and we needed immediate help. Our 9 yr old doxy mix was completely paralyzed from the neck down after jumping off the bed. We took her to the emergency vet and they recommended immediate MRI and surgery. We opted to pursue medical management and a more holistic approach so W&W was perfect. We got our doggy in to see Dr Power the next morning and they did acupuncture, cold laser, therapy, and electro stim therapy. We did not have a great prognosis and we were feeling pretty defeated. After the session with wise and wonderful, our doggy was able to wag her tail, and push with some resistance on her back feet after 48 hours. I am convinced that without Dr. Powers immediate assistance, we would not have had the miraculous recovery that she did. I am nearly in tears leaving this review. Dr Power and his staff were so accommodating and understanding and sympathetic. Now our doggie can walk with some support she can go to the bathroom by herself and yes, she is still wagging, her tail and happy every time she gets to visit Dr. power. We will continue to go. We believe in the success we had with acupuncture. Thank you again, wise and wonderful.

Dr. Power & his staff are amazing! So kind & compassionate. Love what an acupuncture session can do for my Frenchie who loses mobility in her hind legs sometimes. Would highly recommend this place!

We did not have a good experience here and decided to stop taking our 2 cats here after just 6 months. We stopped coming here because of the overall lack of care, lack of expertise, lack of punctuality, dismissive comments about our pet's health issues and the final straw was how rude the counter staff are. Not a single appointment we booked here was on time, every single appointment would run 15 - 30 min late and they make you wait in your car. This is normal here - they do not acknowledge when they're running behind or care that they run late, it is to be expected. They failed to diagnose a skin condition both of my cats had on their faces. They both had bumpy, scabby, itchy red marks on several parts of their face. One of my cats was also having watery eyes, wouldn't open them and rubbing them a ton. The doctor's response was to gaslight us and tell us how beautiful my cat's eyes are, who couldn't even open his eyelids, and send us on our way with an antibiotic ointment cream for his eyes, which did nothing. I called for a follow up appt after my cat's face got worse. He was still going through it and his face was more scabby. The person working the counter would only give me an 8:30 am drop-off appointment option on one day of the week. My cat would have to be there all day alone and they couldn't guarantee he would even be seen by the vet. I asked if there were other options and she said no. Wtf? We tried emailing and calling the vet for medical advice instead since we couldn't get an appointment but they were not helpful so we ended up googling our cat's issue (cat acne) and treating it ourselves with over the counter medications, which worked. I would say, judging by all of our other experiences here I'm not surprised but this place is expensive. I don't wanna be googling my own pet's condition and treatment after paying hundreds of dollars for a check up. Other issues I had here: They don't use their designated cat room as such. I communicated to them I have a cat who was traumatized at the vet and we wanted to be in the cat room. Only our first appt was in there, every one after that was in the dog room. You have to fill out a brand new intake form every single time you make an appointment. You'd think they'd at least be thoughtful enough to read the forms beforehand if they require you to fill it out but they don't. You'll be reiterating the same things over and over again in person. It's incredibly redundant. I've never experienced this at a vet before. This is also one of the most expensive vet's I've been to with some of the worst treatment. More money does not mean better quality care here.

I took all three of my cats here after my family Vet retired. Lucky does not like strangers, and she does not like vets, so the true test of a vet would be her. They let her sit and play in the exam room before coming in, which allowed her to adjust to the new situation. Plus, Lucky loves making caves out of blankets, so they brought a towel in so she could make a cave. It was very easy for me to turn Lucky into a purrrito, once inside the towel-cave.

As a first time dog owner, this vet has been amazing at answering all questions, addressing concerns in a timely manner, and they have been excellent in handling/calming my anxious and sometimes unfriendly dog. Thank you to the fantastic staff and Dr. Powers for the top notch care.

They are just awful. I contacted them more than a year and a half ago for euthanasia for my dog dying of brain cancer, she was suffering. Ultimately we went with her regular doctor who was able to come first, and we let W &W know that that was the case. BTW, our vet did that last service for about $120.00 for a home visit - Wise and Wonderful quote was for about $500, but that's not the real problem. Ever since they are sending me reminders about the need for vaccinations for my dead dog, despite my informing them repeatedly that she is dead. Like they didn't know from the start!!!! It only brings up the pain of losing her, and the heartless morons at the Not So Wise and Not Wonderful At All can't STOP!!!! ..P.S. And it gets worse. You can see for yourself, in the owner's "answer". Instead of apologizing, the owner is brazenly defending their lack of attention and respect by distorting the facts and brutally attacking the person who they offended and hurt! I never said that my dog was seen my this clinic. I said that I have specifically requested euthanasia service only, and then specifically stated by phone call the same day that I am cancelling and would not need their services since our own vet could come earlier and at that point my dog was suffering so badly we wanted her helped asap. So, what conclusion could their staff make? That my dog miraculously recovered, and still needed vaccinations????!!!! And I have notified them first a few months back to stop sending these notices, to no avail! There was absolutely nothing threatening in my email, nothing :"cruel" , thoughtless cruelty seems to be the specialty of this practice, and the owner's in particular. And my email was not "profanity laden"!!!! (Yes, true, at the very end there was just one swear word, I finally had enough and this time told them to f...ing stop as I am so hurt and fed up with their thoughtlessness - is that what you'd call "profanity laden email"?) Lies, disrespect and inability to apologize, just disgusting!

The vibe in the office is positive and the clinic is super clean. I love the integrative options and education. The folks at Wise and Wonderful are skilled and empathic humans who guided my family through a diabetes diagnosis and treatment with great care and clarity. They even handed me kleenexes when the tears came. Wise and Wonderful’s atmosphere is calming and welcoming, and the doctor and technicians there are fully present and knowledgeable and they are great listeners. I will never willingly go to another facility for pet care. What a gem.?

I want to thank the wonderful staff and Dr. Alan Power in taking the time with my dog Rey today with his emergency appointment for an infection. You see Rey is a rescue street dog and has trust issues along with aggression due to fear. So because of his aggression and anxiety from being a rescue street dog this made it hard to bring him in to the vet. until I came to Wise and Wonderful in Santa Rosa. The staff took extra care with Rey and understood my concerns. I will never take my animals anywhere else and nor should you! Dr. Rodas-Lindstrom DC

Everyone- techs, vets, and desk staff, are very kind, especially to my nervous beagle. When she hides under the bench, they get on their knees with treats to gently coax her out. From acupuncture to chiropractic, everything so far is on the floor at her level.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Powers and his entire staff.I brought my Mandy to see them after visiting another vet and an oncologist. My treatment option at that time was surgery and possible amputation of one of her legs. I went to Wise and Wonderful, believing I might need compassionate, holistic end-of-life care for Mandy. After a thorough exam, however, Dr. Powers’ suggested a new type of treatment with a high success rate in curing her type of cancer. He spent lots of time explaining the procedure to me; and sent me home with reading materials to further help me in making an informed decision. I chose to move forward with the procedure. It is still too early to know the final result, but everything thus far has gone extremely well with no complications. And …1. Mandy and I were treated with respect, kindness and compassion.2. We were never rushed; all my questions were fully answered, and Mandy was treated with patience and given focused attention.3. Dr. Powers seemed very knowledgeable about the procedure, and competent in carrying it out.4. They responded quickly to my emailed post- procedure questions.5. I believe their pricing was fair and reasonable.I highly recommend this facility, Dr. Powers, and his staff.

Amazing practice full of caring, patient, and knowledgeable staff. Some vets treat patients like they’re on a conveyor belt and this is the total opposite of that! I also appreciate they’re willing to exhaust other options before turning to drugs. They were so unfazed and undeterred during a very dramatic visit where my dog scratched several of us up in his panicked attempts to get away from the needle - so impressed, can’t say the same for other vets we’ve had. Really feel like our boy is in great hands here. Shoutout to Felicia and Dr Powers — they are pros!!
