I ordered food from the kitchen two dozen of enchiladas of carne asada. And some refried beans. They were delicious. I bought them for a group event and they were a hit. So much the host of the house asked me to order them again for a different event. The food is very authentic. Very nicely packed generous portions. They have never disappointed me.

Friendliest mom and pop corner store there is. Excellent meat selections on the butcher's side of the store, and the kitchen in back serves some of the best burritos in town. They also cater large parties.

I ordered a breakfast burrito with beans, cheese & eggs. That's it. Stood in line. Placed my order. Very straight forward, very little interaction with the kitchen staff. It came with over-cooked, dry eggs & the beans were cold, they charged me $6.99 plus an extra 75 cents (for what?? I didnt get avocado and i didnt order the burrito with meat....what cost an extra 75 cents??). To top it off, the kitchen staff called me a racial slur to my face (THEY CALLED ME A GRINGA TO MY FACE) and had an attitude- why? Because I paid $9 for a poorly prepared burrito, and gave them my business? Because i chose to walk in and eat there as a white woman? Do they not appreciate or want business from white people? We are locals & these people are clearly disrespectful & rude. We were recommended to come here by a friend at Trader Joe's. We will make sure he knows how disrespectfully I was treated and how bad the food was. Never coming here again. All there is in Santa Paula is Mexican food- there are plenty of other places- you are not special. In fact- you need a lot of improvement. I expect that kind of slang in Mexico because, in Mexico, I AM a foreigner. I will not be called that in my native country that I was born and raised in and the community that we live in and serve. All of this was completely unprovoked or warranted. Do better.

I used to love this place when Victor and Maria had it. I don't know if it was fluke but the tamales we got this year for Christmas had so little meat and way too much masa. Rice very dry and beans just ok, overall dissappointed. It was very busy so people seem to still go but not the same.

One of the best burritos anywhere. The Chile Relleno burrito is my favorite. A tip: the ordering area in the back can get chaotic. Always call your order in over the phone and just pick it up at the window without waiting.

Garden market is awesome for everything it has. A meat market, mini grocery store with all your basics you may need. You can absolutely run here to get milk, cheese, nopales, limes, avocados, and tortillas. They have it all in this small store. My FAVORITE part of garden market is the takeout restaurant in the back. You could order anything on this menu and it's fantastic. From their tamales (which you can order by the dozen) to the fish tacos and breakfast burritos its all some of the best i have had in Ventura county. Truly an authentic mexican kitchen. On my last order i got a sweet corn tamale which i ate later on that day and it was dense, sweet, and just perfect. I also ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo and their hot salsa on the side. The salsa is pretty spicy but i keep going back for more and more. Its a good kick. The chorizo is not fatty and has good flavor to it. Its my favorite breakfast burrito in town. Oh and they don't skimp on anything. Its HUGEAs for the service , the ladies in the back who help me and they are very nice and the orders come up quickly. I usually place a phone order and its already ready at the counter by the time i arrive. It can get super busy here around lunch time and 5pm on weekdays and on Saturdays they're pretty much busy all day. But thats how you know this place is great. Couldn't ask for a better spot!

I used to love garden market but they hired new girls in the back who don't listen. The past handful of times I've asked for hot salsa and my burritos are dry, no salsa. I don't know what I need to do for them to just put the damn salsa on the burrito.

Hands down best burrito I’ve had in California. Chicken supreme is the way to go. My friend shay from Nepal isn’t a fan, but I guess that’s why we’re not friends anymore. 10/10.

The food is always fresh and delicious. My favorite is the Asada burrito with everything but beans! Good size burrito for a good price and they give you enough meat. Service is fast and workers are always friendly.
