Small Whole food store with a nice upscale selection. Parking alongside and back. Helpful employees. Two bathrooms

Worst Whole Foods I have been in. The staff were not helpful or friendly. The store is tiny with tight aisles. Seems like robots work here with no awareness of customers. Could not wait to pay and get out of this place.

Since Amazon acquired Whole Foods, customer service is limited. Untrained new and negligent existing staff . There are many great staff, but Whole Foods has changed drastically since Amazon. Yes, Santa Monica locations: Wilshire/23rd and Montana Ave. are the worst. Customers please complain at the store at the time you have negative experiences. Otherwise, complain to corporate.

There are a couple of people who I think should be recognized for having excellent customer service. I would love to say that my experience with some cashiers has been excellent. I want to thank Yesenia; she's always kind and welcoming and greets every customer who comes to her check stand. She is also accommodating & always goes above and beyond whenever I need help looking for a specific item. ( Montana Location) Alondra is the sweetest girl anyone will ever meet! She knows how to keep her composure in situations. She is also another cashier who is always greeting customers and making them feel welcome. She is fantastic at what she does! ( Montana location )

The reviews about their customer service are pretty spot on. I come in here a lot, but each time I do, I have to mentally prepare myself from the attitude I'm about to experience. For whatever reason, the employees always seem SO annoyed by my presence. I'll ask a question and either get ignored or get attitude. Happened to me today at the baked goods section and at the cash register. And although Whole Foods responds to negative reviews on here, it doesn't seem like they take any of those reviews to heart, because no changes have been made in the past 2 years.

I called the Whole Foods location and spoke with Adrian from the seafood section. I want to express my gratitude for his exceptional assistance with my order with the Oysters. He had it prepared ahead of time, and it's evident that he went above and beyond to help me. I truly appreciate his dedicated and cheerful support. Adrian's exceptional assistance not only surprised me but also impressed me. His proactive approach extended to effectively communicating the message to his team members, demonstrating a high level of coordination. I definitely also appreciated his Team members as well for being helpful when I walked straight to the meat department they knew right away what my order was. I appreciate the outstanding efforts for you all Thank you so much.

Wow! What happened to this location? As a kid and in my 20s I would go here all the time. Was a quiet Whole Foods with limited selection but a much easier experience than the other locations in Brentwood or 23rd St. Parking was a breeze, staff were nice. Have returned a few times in this decade and its a nightmare. Never any parking. Overcrowded. Rude, almost hostile staff. Did the underpaid workers just get THAT sick and tired of the Montana Ave karens?

Incredibly rude check out process. I don't think I've had one pleasant experience here. The workers talk to you like you're stupid and seem like they would rather you shop somewhere else

The staff is rude for no reason. Staff is also constantly talking to themselves loudly and ignoring customers, which seems to be a theme in these reviews. You also hear them badmouth customers and they just generally seem upset to be at work. Not good vibes.

What I saw this morning at this store was not fair, I am against discrimination and racism in general. Two men came in, one young and one older, they went straight to the bread counter, then a thin black woman started calling another woman. The same worker was a woman but white and began to murmur in her coworkers ear. Then the Asian man in a white shirt along with the young man went to the register to pay, while in line the white woman worker called them to the second register. The man did not refuse and went where she told him, she looked at him with a very intimidating look, he paid her and they left. Then the black woman approached the other white woman and started laughing. That was racism and discrimination. Who do these people think they are? I hope this gets the companies attention and the two workers reprimanded.

This review is for the location on Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, they have underground parking which is helpful, it's a smaller Whole foods compared to the one in Venice but is still a wonderful source for produce, meats, everyday staples.

Good clean food in a very small space. If tight spaces bother you, don't shop here. The isles are barely wide enough for 2 carts to squeeze by. Service with a smile is also hard to find here. There's a limited selection, but the products are good.

The limited selection, I understand. It’s a small grocery store and does it’s best. The *live bugs* making a happy little colony in the Kale I bought, on the other hand, was pretty freaking gross. Please don’t sell kale that has hundreds of little aphids in it. It means I don’t get to have the ingredients I need.
